This gorgeous and busty 28 year old (in 2000) Libra is a natural redhead who grew up living with her dad and stepmother in Enterprise Alabama. Being a gangly teen who was 'flat as a board' instilled in her a desire to someday become a 'full' figure gal. Asked on her web site "Are your boobs 'yours'?" she replied "Yes, I have a receipt for them around here somewhere!"

After entering college for a short period, she decided to become a nude dancer after losing her job and running across a local newspaper ad. Quickly discovering that she could make more money with more chest, she decided it was finally the time to get implants. She went on to become a 'feature' dancer and did some club tours, but April found that she wasn't really happy having to deal with club politics and the agent games.

Realizing that she now had a great 'package' she decided to try fitness modeling. "From there it led to all sorts of cool stuff, and most recently, a job with the WCW."

April feels that there are two things that definitely suck about the sports entertainment business: One is having to work even if you're sick, hurt or exhausted and the other is that the job is kind of expensive. "Living on the road for most of the week costs a bundle - from daily gym passes to eating. Nevermind if you suddenly get sent to Wisconsin from Florida and didn't even pack a sweatshirt...". Unfortunately within months of becoming one of the nWo Babes - along with Midajah and Tylene Buck - and working with Jeff Jarrett, Poppa Pump etc., she ran into a slight problem with the WCW. April claimed on her site that the WCW did not pay her as was expected.

April who is a movie fanatic, works out 4-6 times a week to maintain her busty, trim and fit figure, especially since she loves both food and candy.

First off, nWo Girl, April Hunter is very upset with WCW, and let them know during Nitro on Monday night. April is claiming on her website, AprilHunter.com, that the WCW "forgot to pay her for a complete six weeks of work..." with no further explanation. [Mikey G.]

April Hunter, former nWo girl, will be in attendance at King of the Ring, only as a spectator. She also says that she will start wrestling school soon. No word on whether or not she is still with WCW. [Alexi Franklin]

WCW contracted valet, April Hunter is keeping active while away from the ring. She will be appearing in the September issue of MuscleMag, which hits newsstands Tuesday, June 27th. The issue will feature 8 pages of never before seen photos, plus an interview and biography.

Her official website, AprilHunter.com is doing extremely well. According to her newsletter, the site was top rated in content and design, and April has become the most downloaded redhead of all time, and in the top ten most downloaded fitness models.

Also, it looks like April may be planning on a return to WCW in the near future. She has plans to start wrestling school soon, which is what WCW is asking most of their women to do. [Derek Franks]

In reply to a news item I posted yesterday about April Hunter not being used by WCW because of the content of her site, she kindly e-mailed me with the following word:

Hi...I read your latest letter and you misreported. See the dated email. The fact is, I was offered the job and rejected it.Additionlly my web site is exactly the same now as it was during my stint with WCW and they don't have a problem with content, nor did they ever. I was hired and best known as a Playboy model (Please feel free to verify that.)Their original problem was only with their copyrights on it. They asked me back as Alan Funk's valet and I already had a pending job in Japan. Thank you. April Hunter.

April Hunter, who is a fitness model type who and was one of the NWO Girls in WCW earlier this year, is now training at Killer Kowalski's wrestling school to be a woman wrestler. She also trained in Japan before while being there to film a TV commercial not that long ago. [George Epstein]

12/22/09 Internet News - Former WCW Valet Works "iMPACT!" Taping
Working her first match in TNA in several years, former WCW valet April Hunter worked last night's iMPACT! taping in Orlando.

Teaming with fellow independent women's wrestler Lorelei Lee, the former Playboy model squared off against Knockout Tag Team Champions Sarita and Taylor Wilde in a tag match — which will air during TNA's four-hour New Year's Eve Knockout Eve special on Spike.

Hunter, 35, announced her retirement from in-ring competition in 2007 as a result of numerous wrestling-related injuries. Though still not healed, she has since gotten better as she was able to return to the ring a few weeks ago. Following a recent wrestling tour of Europe, Hunter commented on why she returned to the ring in her online newsletter:

"I got a lot of questions as to WHY I would wrestle again...it's a fair question with a simple answer: I am trying to help my mom out financially. She has health insurance, but it's not covering nearly enough of her cancer treatments, so I'm doing what I can if the money is right. I've been through a lot of therapy for my back and am also trying to work SMARTER rather than harder now. No, I'm not healed, but I am better than I was and can get by if it means getting another ridiculously high co pay of hers sorted out. Incidentally, Mom's scans came back showing tumors starting to shrink from the chemotherapy, so here’s to hoping for remission." Rajah.com

12/23/09 Internet News - Velvet Sky Makes Amends With April Hunter
Velvet Sky and April Hunter have apparently made amends after working Monday's Impact taping in Orlando together. The TNA Knockout posted a candid photo of herself with Hunter backstage at the show with a caption reading "Truce!!!! :)" You can see the image at the following link.

Before joining TNA, Sky, whose real name is Jamie Szantyr, formed a tag team with Hunter known as T&A — which was apparently a spoof on "Divas." The group gained notoriety and worked a number of independent shows together over the course of 2005 and 2006. However, in late 2006, the two best friends had a really ugly split that eventually spilled over online with both women's wrestlers personally attacking each other through various blog posts.
