INTERVIEW

Caryn Mower has been a Hollywood stuntwoman since 1992 and has appeared in several movies and TV shows, including "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," "Ally McBeal," "Baywatch," and "Red Shoe Diaries."

She first decided to pursue wrestling after a failed bid to land a part as a model for a comic book.  Manager Barry Bloom, who co-manages talent such as Rey Mysterio Jr., held auditions at Ultimate University, the wrestling training school run by Rick Bassman for a comic book that would use real-life models as its figures.

After performing at Universal Pro Wrestling shows - the league run by Ultimate University - Mower was signed to a contract by the WWF on Aug. 31, 1999.  Caryn says that her style "is part lucha and part strict, American style.  I'm trying to utilize my strength, speed, conditioning and training."

Former Hollywood stuntwoman, Caryn Mawr finally made her WWF debut, last night at the Smackdown taping. This isn't a spoiler, for those who are picky, but Caryn came out quite a few times during commercial breaks making fun of the crowd; saying they were out of shape, etc. Similar to Sunny's gimmick, Caryn's expected to follow the same page, and might even wind up with a new pair of "BodyDonna's," Joe E. Legend and Scott Vick. Of course, they won't go by that name, but a fitness tag-team, as speculated in the past, is still heavily rumored. [Mikey G.]

Caryn Mower ("Carnidge") is the World Wrestling Federation's latest addition to the hot women sector. Caryn spent her life developing the perfect types of talent required for professional wrestling. Working in Hollywood as a stuntwoman, Caryn has appeared in hundreds of films, and dozens of "stunt spectaculars" at theme parks across the country. Inside the dojos of California, Caryn earned a blackbelt in judo. With this ability to take punishment as well as give it, Carnidge moved quickly up the ranks of the women’s wrestling division. Add this package to her mesmerizing beauty, and it was a sure thing that the WWF would snap up this future superstar before the competition would. Now under a WWF development contract, Carnidge has been training extensively with Ivory, and plans on making her television debut with the rapidly expanding Women’s Division. [www.wrestleboard.com]

WWF's newest valet and former stuntwoman, Caryn Mawr, may end up making her television debut under the name "Muffy Mawr." In some new changes brought forth by WWF Booking, she may not only be under the gimmick of a heel crazed fitness trainer, but she may also take on [with the fitness role] the moniker of a spoiled brat; hence, the name 'Muffy.' Sometime down the road, we could also very well see Mawr run into a feud with Memphis trainee, BobCat, who you might have seen on the MTV WrestleMania weekend special. [Mikey G.]

04/13/00 Thursday Smackdown
Caryn Mower finally made her official debut appearance as the character Muffy. Stephanie and Caryn Mower came out to the ring where Stephanie announced "your nothing but fat lazy cellulite people and you make us sick." She continued by saying "So I'm going to do a public service. I would like to introduce to you my personal trainer, and now yours... Muffy!" At which point Muffy proceeded to try and get the audience to join her doing jumping jacks.

Remember Stephanie McMahon's personal-trainer, Muffy? Well, 'Muffy,' or Caryn Mawr in real-life, has been approached by WWF bookers that her gimmick be dropped. Interesting enough, it's been confirmed that the ridiculous "get in shape" gimmick has been dropped, only after a short week of being in use. Currently, they're rewriting a new idea for the gorgeous blonde. [Mikey G.]

The WWF has no immediate plans of using or repackaging Muffy, Stephanie McMahon's aerobics instructor. Another WWF woman who faded away was Bobcat. She was the ho that briefly held the Hardcore title They will appear WWF TV within the next few months. [Justin Fritz]

Caryn "Muffy" Mower, the gorgeous blond who briefly acted as Stephanie McMahon's annoying trainer, looks to have actually dropped that gimmick. Mower is still under WWF contract however -- that being a developmental one. She's simply being held off of WWF TV until the booker's can figure out where to place her in storyline. In the mean time, Mower's residing in California working in a 'Water World' park as a lead-role in their "Stunt Show." [Mikey G.]

The girl who appeared as Stephanie McMahon's personal trainer, Muffy (Caryn Mower) was in attendance at the UPW show in Santa Ana, CA at the Galaxy Theater. She sat in the front row just to my left and got involved in a match, costing Big Schwag the win. After the event, I saw her talking to Gerald Brisco of the WWF, but only shortly. There hasn't been any talk recently of her possibly returning to WWF television, but this may be a beginning. [Jeremy Bratcher]

Caryn Mower, WWF's chatty blond who shortly appeared on WWF TV as Stephanie's personal trainer, has been busy as of late with her "other" occupation. She was recently hired at Universal Studios: Hollywood as a stuntwoman in their "Water Stunt Spectacular" show. It's not known when she'll return to WWF TV. [Mikey G.]

09/29/00 Internet Rumor
WWF has released Caryn "Muffy" Mower from her developmental contract with the company. The reason it seems was that the WWF just had no spot for Muffy. She reportedly has lots of talent, due to the fact she was a professional stunt woman. If a spot ever does open up don't be surprised to see Muffy signed quickly. [Joe Starson]
