Joanie will also be a part of The Arnold Classic at the Sun Industries booth on Friday, February 22, she will be sponsored by Playboy and will be signing copies of the all-new Joanie Playboy video and DVD. “The CEO of the WWA has been quoted in at least one recent interview as saying that I am signing with the WWA for a return to professional wrestling. This is completely false. I have no plans or interest in joining the WWA. I have not had any discussions with that organization at all. While I wish that organization the best of luck in its endeavors, I will not be a part of them. I thought it best to put this issue to rest immediately. At the press day in New York for the release of his new movie, Collateral Damage, Arnold Schwarzenegger stated that he would like to fit former WWF superstar Joanie "Chyna" Laurer into a role in the upcoming Terminator 3 movie. The movie begins shooting on April 15 and there are still several roles unfilled. [J. Bratcher]

----- David Korn just got back from the New York City press day for "Collateral Damage," and here's what Arnold had to say about Chyna in T3: "I was in the limo and saw her get out of another car. So I called her over and told her she should come in for an interview, 'cause I'm a big fan of hers. She was just coming from the Playboy mansion. So Do you go with someone who's petit, young and innocent, or should it be Chyna, who looks like the female Terminator. I don't know what the answer is." Antonio Inoki announced yesterday that former WWF Intercontinental champion Joanie "Chyna" Laurer will be appearing at New Japan Pro's 30th Anniversary show at the Tokyo Skydome on May 2nd. There has been no confirmation on her role, but it is very likely that she will be wrestling. This would be her first match since leaving the WWF. [www.rajahwwf.com, George Patton]

Antonio Inoki and Joanie Laurer were on "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" last night. Laurer talked about how she's gone to New Japan and showed clips of her reffing the Steiners vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kensuke Sasaki (what a mess that match was). They did some sumo stuff with her and Tom Arnold. They treated Inoki like he was a God, calling him Mr. Inoki (maybe because they didn't know his first name), with his brother Simon acting as translator. They showed clips on TV of Inoki's matches with Sting, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Muhammad Ali. Inoki said the Ali match was his greatest memory (because it was real) and said it was the first famous MMA match (well, in Japan and the U.S., not Brazil). Laurer said she was greatly honored as she was the first woman ever to appear in the New Japan ring in the company's 30-year history (apparently she missed the women's match held earlier on the same show that only tore the house down). ----- Today on Good Day on KDFW, Dallas, TX, they announced the next Celebrity Boxing contestants. One match was originally scheduled to be Joey Buttafuoco against John Wayne Bobbitt. However, this past week, Bobbitt was arrested and apparently they have found a replacement fighter to face Buttafuoco.

As reported, it will be Joanie Laurer, or as they called her - the name she'll never escape - "Chyna". According to the official Celebrity Boxing site, the next show will air Wed. May 22 @ 8:30 PM Eastern. The official lineup has not been posted yet. [Amish Patel]

It was announced in an interview at the New Japanese professional wrestling office in Tokyo..... the tag-team match-up of Joanie and the Great Muta vs Chono and Tenzan at the Kobe conference on October 27th will be a IWGP tag championship Title.

Rumors are circulating that Joanie is dating former WWE superstar, current NWA-TNA talent, Sean "Syxx-Pac" Waltman. It seems that since they met up whilst negotiating booking appearances for Japan wrestling promotions, they have been kicking it regularly. They were close friends back during their time together as Dengeration-X members in what was then WWF in the mid-90's. The truth is that they are engaged!! Congrats to both of them. He was in the audience of the show and was smiling so big. She said they haven't been engaged long, and showed her ring, which was sooo beautiful and huge!!!
