03/09/06 Internet News - Joanie Talks About New Movie
Joanie “Chyna” Laurer was recently on Inside Edition talking about her upcoming “Illegal Aliens” movie. Laurer said that it would be making its debut in theaters nation wide this summer. She talked about finding a lot more work in Hollywood recently and discussed being in the new TV show this summer on VH1. She did say that she realizes that the name “Chyna” will be with her forever but if she had to choose she would rather be called “Joanie.” Rajah.com

Besides her role in ILLEGAL ALIENS, Joanie is currently filming for a new VH1 show in Vegas called "Fame Games" which is a "Celebrity" game show that will air this summer. After production is over Joanie will be making the media rounds again as is scheduled to appear on a future editions of "Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood" as well as making several radio appearances. "Just Another Romantic Wrestling Comedy", a movie featuring Don Fryer, April Hunter, Joanie Laurer & many others is scheduled to be out this June and Joanie Laurer will be involved in some of the promotions for that movie as well. Currently Joanie is considering several movie roles on offer for this summer and plans on releasing her own TV show in 2007 called "Being Chynna". ChynaFan101

Joanie will be in the July 2006 issue of "DETAILS" magazine featuring a full picture spread. Many big name celebrities will be featured in this issue and Joanie is promoting "The Surreal Life" and "Fame Games" in this issue. Joanie Laurer's movie, "Illegal Aliens" will be hitting theaters nation wide in September. The movie's producers found several big production companies which are interested in it. ChynaFan101

FAYE Dunaway, Joely Fisher and Joely's half-sister, Carrie Fisher, are sharpening their claws. They're all starring in a new comedy, "The Cougar Club," about a group of older women who have sex with much younger men. According to a flack for the flick, Dunaway will portray "Edith Birnbaum," the "Rolls-Royce" of cougars. Carrie Fisher is "Professor Goodby" while Joely provides guidance in the art of pleasure in her role as "Lulu." Also involved are former "GoldenEye" Bond Girl Izabella Scorupco - the youngest of the cougars - wrestling queen Joanie Laurer (who wrestled as China Doll), Kaley Cuoco ("8 Simple Rules"), Mo Collins and veteran comedian Sammy Shore. The story follows two young men who graduate from college and work "at a law firm from hell." Tara Reid has some competition for her crown as Hollywood's biggest train wreck -- Chyna Doll. The former WWE and "Surreal Life" star (yes, we're using that term loosely) was out partying with porn star Mary Carey ... and what a sight they were. The two busty women were dressed in matching (and ridiculous) outfits, flirting with everyone they could, including each other, on their way out of Hollywood hot spot Shag. At one point Mary even grinds against Chyna, lifting the wrestler's skirt to an even more inappropriate length. For Chyna though, the real fun started once they got in the car where she was spotted making out with an unknown male (poor thing), straddling him in the back seat as they drove off. 10/20/06 Internet News - "Surreal Life" Program Moved Back
The debut of "Surreal Life Fame Games" starring Joanie "Chyna" Laurer on VH-1 has been moved back to January 7th 2007. Rajah.com -----
The following is a Chyna update from Ian: Joanie recently appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to promote "The Cougar Club" and TBS' "Midnight Money Madness". A new "Illegal Aliens" PR tour is being scheduled for early 2007 to promote the film. In March 2006 Joanie went to New York to promote the movie and in early 2007 both Anna and Joanie will be doing a multi-state tour to promote the movie. Tour dates will be announced as it gets closer. The film's release has been delayed at request of Anna Nicole due to her son's death but the film's director David Giancola has stated that it will be released in coming months. The debut of "Surreal Life Fame Games" starring Joanie on VH-1 has been moved to 1/7/07. With the new season of "Hogan Knows Best" coming out it is likely they didn't want two pro wrestlers back to back. Rajah.com PWinsider.com

Former WWE Diva Joanie “Chyna” Laurer was on the Keith Ablow TV talk show this past Monday. Chyna spoke about having drinking and drug problems, she said that her problems started when she hooked up with Sean Waltman. She spoke about leaving WWE due to finances are not true and that she left because Stephanie McMahon wanted her out. She also mentioned that she originally didn't want to do "Surreal Life," but did it for money, and but she's glad as it was her wake up call. PowerWrestling.com
