Welcome everyone.  Take your seats and relax.  My name's Silver and I'll be your hostESS while you're here.  Now take those glasses down, yah those ones with the silver lenses, slip 'em on, and be prepared for a look at the way  I see things in the world of wrestling.   I hope you like it and that you come back next week, maybe even participate in my little weekly Q & A session.

Howdy people.  Another wonderful week has passed and we find ourselves together once again.

The news situation is nothing phenomenal this week, but it's decent.  As you can all imagine, the main talk of the internet is mostly the whole WWF/ECW/WCW angle.  I don't know if you guys know or not, but there are some rumors flying around that the WWF may not be able to use references, logos, or anything else pertaining to ECW because of the bankruptcy thing.  Some reporters are basically badmouthing Paul Heyman, saying that he may have done this on purpose to get Vince McMahon to pay off all his debts.

I'm stuck in the middle on that one.  Meaning, I don't particularly have an opinion one way or another.  I supposed that it's POSSIBLE, but I don't know that it's probable for things to have gone down that way.  I guess we will see in the coming weeks whether they have to stop including ECW in this storyline or not.  Basically, if they do, the angle will go to shit if you ask me.

Look for some stuff on people we haven't heard about in a while.  Of course Chyna is still a major topic of conversation.  There's also some interesting news on the Undertaker's wife.  Happy reading!

THE NEWS AND RUMORS

-For those of you who are wondering about the comments Stephanie McMahon made towards WWF legend Freddy Blassie Monday night on RAW is WAR, Blassie was said to have known of the comments ahead of time and was said to be fine with it. [Sam Husary]

==>Personally, I wasn't too impressed with the "you're both about to die" comment.  I don't think that was very tasteful.

-On a follow up to a previous report, Chyna may be filming a video and photo shoot with Playboy magazine after Hugh Hefner publicly stated her spread drew 3.9 million and that he's interested to work with her again. The only problem is, she is legally not allowed until her contract with WWFE expires as the WWF has a clause with Playboy which only allows WWF wrestling women involved with the magazine. Although now there is only really indies to compare to the WWF so that clause doesn't mean much except for Chyna's situation where it just expands the time of the process. [Matthew Boone]

-PlayBoy Magazine Mogul Hugh Hefner, recently talked about Chyna on PageSix.com. Hefner said that Chyna's November 2000 issue was the the best-selling issue for years, with 3.9 million mags in sales. Hefner added that once the Chyna/WWF relationship is over, a new pictorial and a video featuring the soon to be artist formerly known as Chyna will be released - because like he said, she's a friend. I bet my butt she'll soon be one of his new girlfriends too!  [Wrestlingdotcom]

-LOS ANGELES, CA (StarInsider.com) - Joanie Laurer, best known for her former role as Chyna in the World Wrestling Federation, has launched her all-new official website at Body By Joanie.com

The site, featuring photos, merchandise, and a host of interactive features for members, includes both a free visitors area and an optional membership area for fans to join and interact with Joanie. Member benefits include extensive photo galleries, desktop wallpapers, online greeting cards, video and audio segments, e-mail newsletters, and the opportunity to interact directly with Joanie through her site.

BodyByJoanie.com, in conjunction with StarInsider, Inc., will also conduct periodic auctions of some of Joanie's memorabilia, including some of her best known outfits and equipment from her days as a WWF superstar as well as signed movie and television scripts and much more.
[Wrestlingdotcom]

-There are plans for a possible tournament to decide who the WWF women's champion will be now that it's obvious Chyna won't be brought back on television to drop the belt. We could see it not only be WWF women participating, but the WCW diva's could be involved as well. If the WWF decides to sign any women for ECW, they would be involved also. [Matthew Boone]

==>Just to reiterate my opinion, I think the fact that they are letting such a versatile athlete and superstar slip through their fingers is ludicrous.  Chyna was one of my favorite wrestlers to watch and has been for quite some time.  Her new website looks pretty nice, you should all pay her a visit.

-The ECW talent could be a big piece to the puzzle for Shane McMahon, there are many sources in the WWF implying that Shane, Stephanie, and Paul Heyman are looking to strengthen their troops. The three superstars on their eye are unsurprisingly some former ECW stars, which include Tajiri, Jerry Lynn and Lita. At the moment these three athletes seem to be at the top of the three's wish list. [Amish Patel]

-It has been made no secret that Jerry "The King" Lawler's WWF return has been put on hold, due to the WWF's animosity towards his wife, Stacy Carter (The Kat). It now has been learnt that Stacy is encouraging Lawler to return to the WWF without her, as she feels responsible for Lawler also losing his job in the first place. [Amish Patel]

-Jerry Lawler is expected to be contacted once again from WWF officials regarding an announcing return. If Lawler agrees to come in without his wife Stacy Carter, we could see him debut before Invasion. If he doesn't change his mind about his terms, then we're pretty much back to square one. [Matthew Boone]

==>Jerry released an official statement on his website about this and some other rumors.  If you want to clear the air for yourself, you can visit KingLawler

-Former Nitro Girl Chae will be appearing in an adult magazine soon. She told this to the world on the internet wrestling show, Tap Out. [Wrestlingdotcom]

-Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler are both impressing the WWF it appears. There was a lot of speculation implying Stacy had purposely skipped a WWF house show, however those rumors are false and the WWF is not upset with either one of them. [Amish Patel]

-The August issue of Oxygen Magazine will feature WCW diva Torrie Wilson. Speaking of Torrie Wilson, she will have a role in the movie entitled The Bubble Boy, along with Stacy Keibler. [Amish Patel]

-Stacy Keibler did not work last weekend because she was not booked. It has been erroneously reported she took off to go to the beach. [The Ross Report]

==>Another internet rumor cleared up.  It just goes to show you how rampant and how inaccurate they are most of the time.

-According to Jim Ross, Stacy Keibler was not at House Show's last weekend because she was not booked for the shows. Internet reports stating that she went to the beach with friends instead of going to the House Shows are false. [Matt Postoian]

-It appears that Steve Austin's wife Debra will not be playing an active role in his current "angle." Expect Debra to be detaching from Austin in the storylines, as it appears she has been mouthing him back a lot lately. [Amish Patel]

-Stone Cold and Debra should separate sometime before Summer Slam. Debra's snide comments will begin to annoy Austin, causing their on air breakup. This will allow the old 'Texas Rattlesnake' to Make his return at Summer Slam. [Wrestlingdotcom]

==>Oh well.  If you ask me, it wasn't a good idea to pair them up on television anyways.  That can cause unneeded strain on a relationship.

-Now that the "ECW" faction has entered the invasion angle originally involving WWF/WCW storylines, it is possible we could we be seeing some ECW divas making there return to TV. [Amish Patel]

-Both Francine and Dawn Marie were both talked to last week about being brought in with the ECW angle.  [Sam Husary]

-Lisa Marie is now in OVW and is doing an excellent job in the early going in Louisville. [The Ross Report]

==>Color me dumb, because I'm not too sure who this Lisa Marie person is.  The name sounds familiar, but that's about it.

-Stephanie McMahon's former trainer, Caryn Mower a.k.a. Muffy will be featuring in the film "A.I." [Amish Patel]

-The Undertaker's wife Sara has Impressed WWF Officials. For an untrained wrestler she has been very good at taking bumps and setting up spots. Word is she should sign a full time WWF contract very shortly. [Wrestlingdotcom]

==>This shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody since she's been by his side virtually all of the time here lately.

-The Vince McMahon - Linda McMahon divorce storyline is apparently put off for now. The idea is for Vince McMahon to get over as a baby face so that when Austin makes his expected return sometime before or during Invasion, the McMahon-Austin-Angle storyline can continue without Austin being a heel for doing so. [Matthew Boone]

-Pamela Paulshock has no future in WWFE. [Fred Cook]

==>No big surprise there.  The only assets she has are on her chest and the WWF generally like for their women to be a little more physical in the ring.

-This past weekend, Molly Holly was at the Motorfest in Toronto, Canada, for the Molson Indy. Molly said that she believed that it was great that ECW is returning. She emphasized that the company will be very successful with the likes of Rob Van Dam, and Tommy Dreamer. She went on to say that its really exciting, and its making a very good story.

When asked about her "boyfriend" was feeling, Molly said Spike is doing well recovering from his broken fibula. She said that little Spike Dudley is really tough and independent, so he should be fine, and ready to return to action in the WWF very soon.

Lastly, Molly said that she believed the WCW invasion is going really well at the current time. Its becoming an exciting angle in the WWF, and Molly believes that it will really take off!
[Samir Nurmohamed]

-WWFBumps.com has been updated, with this weeks weekly Raw Bump. Featured in video form on the site this week, are the Dudley Boyz power bombing their Brother Spike's "Girlfriend", Molly Holly, through a table. [Daniel Elder]

==>Poor Molly.  She sure is taking a lot of abuse over the littlest Dudley Boy.

-Former WWF superstar Rena "Sable" Mero will be making an appearance in the upcoming movie "Corky" starring Peter Falk and Saturday Night Live's Chris Kattan. The movie will hit theaters Friday, October 19. For more information on this, check out Rena Mero's official website at www.renamero.com. [Sam Husary]

-Terri will be featured in August's issue of RAW Magazine, with a big pictorial. [Wrestlingdotcom]

==>It'll be the most excitement she's seen in a while, considering her current lame ass angle with Perry Saturn.

ANSWERS TO LAST WEEK'S QUESTION

(1) With Stephanie McMahon being the new "owner" of ECW, how do you think that will affect her and HHH?  And do you think we will see some of the ECW women showing up in the WCW/ECW?  If so, do you think Stephanie will pull her "dominant female" trick again?

Well I don't know what happened to you guys this week... maybe you have all been sleeping or something.  Especially YOU Jay... shame on you for not answering the question.

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION

Since I'm tired and no one bothered to answer the question last week... I'm going to carry it over for this week.

APPEARANCES

-Scott Steiner's former freak Midajah will be appearing on Days of our Lives on Thursday, July 26.

-Jerry Lawler & Stacy Carter will be in Houston, TX signing autographs at the George R. Brown Convention Center at the TRI Star Collectors Show at 3:15p.m. on 7/21/01.

-Trish Stratus and Lita will be on the Howard Stern radio show Friday (the 20th) morning promoting WWF's Invasion pay-per view for this Sunday. Check your local radio listings for time and station in your area.

FROM THE READERS

This comment was sent in by Paul:

The featured ladies wrestling match at Raw is nothing short of a ridiculous fluff match that at the very most will spawn and equally senseless angle involving these four beauties. I just can't see wasting Lita's time with this. Wouldn't she be better off competing for a title match with one of the real ladies wrestlers? Better yet, what should have been done to promote ladies competition is to have say Lita and Jacqueline or Molly Holly vs. 2 wrestlers the new WCW should have hired like Madusa and Asya. Now that would be a worthy battle. Women can fight - just look at the ladies version of Ali vs. Frazier. Instead we get what should be a massacre with Lita and Trish kicking the living daylights out of their punch less WCW counterparts. Then, of course, there will be an angle involved. Whoopdidoo...

CONCLUSION

That's a wrap for this week folks.  It's WAY past my bed time!  Hope you guys have a good weekend.  Don't forget to get off your duffs and answer those questions this week!!!!!
