Daffney (aka Daphne Unger, real name Shannon Spruill) 'The Goth Goddess' is one wild & wacky girl. The 25 year old, 5'6" Daffney - born in Germany, July 1975 - likes busting your ear drum with one of the loudest shrieks/screams known to man or beast. Originally featured on a tape that was supposedly sent to the network to win a WCW Nitro Party, she was sitting on her bed chanting David Flair's name over and over again and telling us how much she adored him. Several weeks later she appeared on the show with David, accompanying him to ringside. Daffney is very proud of the large tattoo she has on her back. It's a mix of three Celtic love knots, a moon, clouds and some stars. According to Daffney, she got it four years ago and it took approximately three weeks to complete (close to 10 hours of pain during three sittings!). She married Rich Moore of the rock band "Stuck Mojo" in the fall of 2000.

It would appear that Daffney is on the prowl again! One of our visitors who was at the WWE Raw show at First Union Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Monday night reports that Daffney escorted Crowbar to the ring for a "dark match". Apparently Daffney is still using her wild and wacky character from the old WCW days, as well as some new in-ring talents. According to our visitor Daffney climbed to the top rope and gave Crowbar's opponent a hurricarrana, enabling Crowbar to get the pin fall. Go Daffney! [owow.com]

A few weeks ago when Daffney accompanied Devon Storm for his tryout in dark matches, WWE didn't pay for her to fly in. Instead, she had to arrange for her ticket by herself and used her frequent flier miles to fly out to Philly and Baltimore. [RajahWWF.com]

Word going around backstage in WWE is that the company has either signed Shannon “Daffney” Ward to a developmental deal or has the intentions of offering her one. This is not by any means confirmed, although, it should be noted that she was backstage at last night’s NWA TNA PPV and has been a regular visitor backstage for recent shows. ----- There has been allot of speculation about former WCW diva Shannon "Daffney" Ward signing with the WWE. It has now been confirmed that Daffney has indeed signed with the WWE with a developmental contract. She has been told that she can’t honor her indy commitments which are scheduled for this month. 06/05/08 TNA Impact! - Orlando, Florida - TNA Knockouts champion Awesome Kong (w/Raisha Saeed) vs. Daffney From WCW
Tenay said three pro wrestlers came out of the crowd to get a chance at $25,000 and to impress TNA officials. Daffney went into a fighting stance, but Kong beat her down. Kong put her in a standing thighmaster to crunch Daffney's back and stomach alternatively. On the outside, Kong slammed Daffney into the guardrail, which prompted a much-needed camera shot of Becky, who gasped in fear of Kong. Back in the ring, Kong set up Daffney for the Awesomebomb and connected for the easy win.
