Daffney (aka Daphne Unger, real name Shannon Spruill) 'The Goth Goddess' is one wild & wacky girl. The 25 year old, 5'6" Daffney - born in Germany, July 1975 - likes busting your ear drum with one of the loudest shrieks/screams known to man or beast.  Originally featured on a tape that was supposedly sent to the network to win a WCW Nitro Party, she was sitting on her bed chanting David Flair's name over and over again and telling us how much she adored him.  Several weeks later she appeared on the show with David, accompanying him to ringside.

Daffney is very proud of the large tattoo she has on her back. It's a mix of three Celtic love knots, a moon, clouds and some stars. According to Daffney, she got it four years ago and it took approximately three weeks to complete (close to 10 hours of pain during three sittings!). She married Rich Moore of the rock band "Stuck Mojo" in the fall of 2000.

05/24/09 Sacrifice PPV - Orlando, FL - Taylor Wilde v. Daffney - Monster's Ball Match
Lots of weapons early on. Taylor went to her Canadian roots to smash Daffney with a hockey stick early on. Taylor finished her off rather quickly with a slam onto a trashcan for the win. Post-match: Daffney recovered as Dr. Stevie stormed the ring to spread out thumbtacks in the ring. Lauren and Abyss then ran to ringside and Abyss gave Stevie the Black Hole Slam into the tacks to end the segment. PWtorch.com

06/04/09 TNA Impact! - Orlando, FL - Daffney vs. Taylor Wilde
Tenay said when she was Governor Palin, she transferred into her alter-ego of Daffney. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? West got another zinger in on Tenay- West: “Taylor is the girl you bring home to your mother....then leave her there while you sneak out with Daffney!” Tenay: “So where does that leave Awesome Kong?” West: “Hopefully at your house.”

Not long after the match started, Dr. Stevie and Raven came to ringside. Daffney looked like she scratched Taylor’s back quite hard, then hit a flying elbow on her in the corner. Taylor went to the top and hit a dropkick after Daffney missed an elbowdrop. Roll-through into a pin for two. Taylor went to the second rope but Dr. Stevie provided a distraction that allowed Daffney to taker her out and hit her finisher, the Lobotomy (a spinning Perfect-Plex) for the three.

Daffney continued the beat-down at the behest of Stevie and Raven until Lauren made the save and covered Taylor in the ring to prevent further damage. PWtorch.com

06/18/09 TNA Impact! - Orlando, FL - Daffney & Angelina Love (w/Velvet Sky & Madison Rayne) vs. Awesome Kong (w/ Raesha Saeed) & Taylor Wilde
Backstage: Lauren is in the back with Saeed, Kong, and Taylor Wilde. Lauren wants to know if Taylor feels at all responsible for what's been happening lately. She says that she does a little for ever getting in touch with Daffney. She was trying to help her, since she knew she was out of work, and if she'd been there when The Beautiful People attacked she would have done something about it. Saeed shushes her so that Kong can talk. Kong says that the monster will kill the princess first, and then the monster will kill the monster last. She's somehow developed a slight accent since the first time she spoke.

Love starts things off with Taylor Wilde, who wants Daffney. They brawl for a few seconds, then Wilde tags in Kong. Love immediately tags in Daffney, who Kong destroys. Daffney bounces off an attempted charge, then gets Butt Bumped in the corner. Kong tags in Wilde, who loses control when Love grabs her hair from the outside. Love tags back in, and the heels work the five-count. Love hits a high kick that barely leads to two. She whips Wilde off into the ropes, but Taylor ducks beneath the attempted clothesline and both women yank each other's hair at the same time. Love tags out, and Daffney tries to grab Wilde, but gets kicked off. Kong tags in and clotheslines Daffney's head off a couple times. She looks for an Awesome Bomb—Angelina Love tries to stop it with a Bicycle Kick, but Kong catches her leg and tosses her back. Rayne and Sky try to help out from the apron; Saeed pulls them down, so they hairspray her eyes. That still gives Kong enough time to hit an Implant Buster on Daffney for the win.

Winners: Awesome Kong & Taylor Wilde in three minutes. This was a very good showcase for Kong, which is a little strange when you consider that she's just about the only woman not to have a match on Sunday.

After the match the Beautiful People triple-team Kong, and after a brief struggle are able to drop her face first onto a steel chair. They pile on, so Tara runs down to make the save. The Beautiful People flee. Tara stares them down, and turns back towards the ring to have an awkward stare down with Awesome Kong. PWtorch.com

06/25/09 TNA Impact! - Orlando, FL - Taylor Wilde vs. Daffney - Match of 10,000 Tacks
You win by putting your opponent through the big bed of tacks. Daffney ambushes Taylor as she gets into the ring and hits a Flip Over Neck Breaker. She tries to grab a bag of tacks suspended over the corner turnbuckle, but Wilde cuts her off. Wilde tries to go up, but Daffney pulls her down and pounds her against the mat. She goes up and gets the bag of tacks, but Taylor's gotten up. Daffney tries to leap at her, but Taylor catches her with a side kick. Taylor looks to let out the tacks, but Daffney grabs the bag away and blasts Taylor with it. She lets out the tacks and looks to plan Wilde. Taylor goes behind and looks for a German Suplex onto the tacks. Daffney escapes and elbows Wilde towards the tacks, but Taylor doesn't fall. Daffney tries to knock her down with a big right, but misses and gets hoisted up with some type of Pump Handle and slammed back down onto the tacks. PWtorch.com

07/23/09 TNA Impact! - Orlando, FL - Tara vs. Angelina Love vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne vs. ODB (w/Cody Deaner) vs. Alissa Flash vs. Sojo Bolt vs. Taylor Wilde vs. Daffney vs. Sarita - Knockouts Battle Royal
Lauren is in the back with…Traci Brooks? Who knew she was still around? She's apparently been busy in Hollywood, and has a "huge project" coming up in the future. She heard about the Knockouts Battle Royal tonight, and asked if she could resume her position as Knockouts' Law to make sure the MEM don't have anything up their sleeves. Lauren's sure that the Knockouts will be happy to know law and order will be preserved. [Commercial Break]

We recap the way Tara lost the title at Victory Road. Lauren is in the back with her, wanting to know why she would accept a match for the sake of representing the MEM. Tara reminds her of the $50,000. Lauren seems shocked, but Tara points out that she knows lots of good charities that could use that money. She's really in the match though to prove that she's the number one woman in the company. She hears that Slick Johnson is going to be the ref on the outside, and suggests that if he wants some of this, he can come get it—holding up her Tarantula to the camera as she does so.

The only women to get their own entrances are Kong and Tara. The match starts with some brawling. Taylor Wilde tosses Daffney from the ring out of nowhere, then Kong Gorilla Presses Madison Rayne out onto her. Slick Johnson goes to cradle Rayne. ODB gets tossed, but Cody Deaner catcher her and rolls her back in. Slick Johnson bans Deaner from ringside. Taylor Wilde Back Body Drops Sojo Bolt out to the apron, then kicks her out the match. On the other side of the ring Tara does the exact same thing to Velvet Sky. That was a little weird. Kevin Nash strides down to the commentary booth. [Commercial Break]

Taylor Wilde and Alissa Flash were eliminated during the break, and we get back just in time to see ODB toss Angelina Love. ODB, Tara, and Sarita try to triple team Awesome Kong, but it doesn't work. Kong dodges Tara, floors ODB, and drops Sarita to the mat. They give up on that plan. Tara tries to dump Sarita, but she rolls back under the bottom rope. Kong lifts ODB onto the ropes, then butt bumps her down to the ground. Tara is facing off with Sarita in the corner. Kong kicks Tara and tosses Sarita back into the ring. Sarita lands on her feet and rocks Kong with a Springboard Dropkick, but gets tossed out for her troubles anyway. Tara and Kong trade punches in the middle of the ring. Tara goes for an Octopus. Kong tries to fight it off, and they end up both perched on the ropes. Knockout Law Traci Brooks suddenly dumps both of them from the ring. Kevin Nash goes down to the ring and proclaims her the winner.

Winner: Traci Brooks in 10 minutes. There had to be a better way to spend that time. Nash emphasizes that Traci was an original TNA Knockout. Then again, maybe that was a good use, as it has led to a pull-apart brawl between Tara and Kong. Eventually security breaks that up, so Tara goes back to confront Slick Johnson. She slaps him in the face and hits him with a low blow. She goes for the Tarantula, but Slick rolls out of the ring. [Commercial Break]

Lauren is in the back with The Beautiful People. Love thinks that they should be the ones servicing the Main Event Mafia. Velvet Sky thinks that everyone's jealous, making them deal first with a giant spider and then a crooked referee tonight. Lauren thinks it's a bit hypocritical of them to complain about crooked officiating. Rayne also complains about that butch ODB eliminating them tonight. Cody Deaner jumps into the frame, upset that they're talking trash about his woman. Love says they were just kidding, and starts snuggling up to him. He sees what's happening—they all want a piece of the Deaner. Velvet Sky leans in to get a whiff of the cologne his mama bought him at the flea market, then knees him in the groin. They pound on him for a few seconds, before ODB breaks it up. Deaner mutters something about the "Deaner's diamonds" being broken. PWtorch.com

08/27/09 TNA Impact! - Orlando, FL - Daffney vs. Hamada - No DQ Match
Taz called Daffney “zombie hot.” Tenay gave some background on Hamada, but Daffney started off on offense. Apparently, it was Hamada that requested the no-DQ match. The two women chopped each other, then Daffney ran into a boot. She stomped a mud hole in Daffney in the corner. Hamada round kicked Daffney off the apron and to the outside as they went to break. [Commercial Break]

Daffney landed a flying forearm in the corner on Hamada out of break. Hamada set up a table outside the ring during the break. Kick to the chest by Hamada, then an enziguiri. Some sad chops from Hamada to take down Daffney. Two headbutts also took her down. Hamada missed a spin kick after arguing with the ref. Daffney with a shining wizard for two. They took the battle to the outside. Steel chair shot, but Daffney dodged it. Hamada put the chair around Daffney’s neck a la Jeff Hardy, and threw her into the ring post. I don’t think the chair made it around the neck though, and Tenay called it as if it was around the head. Daffney was put on the table and Hamada hit a moonsault off the top rope. Taz said Sabu did that to him once. Hamada put Daffney back in the ring. Hamada Driver (a version of the Michinoku Driver) garnered her the victory.

WINNER: Hamada, at 9:27. The match started off not-so-good, but picked up nicely as things went along. Still can’t get over Daffney being treated as a jobber in this division. PWtorch.com

09/10/09 TNA Impact! - Orlando, FL - Sarita & Taylor Wilde vs. Alissa Flash & Daffney
Flash shoves Taylor to start. Taylor tries to roll her into an arm bar, but Flash lifts her up and slams her down. Taylor jumps to her feet, tags in Sarita, then runs the up ropes and flips over Flash by the arm. Sarita comes in with an Arm Drag off the top rope, which doesn't really make a lot of sense. Wilde lifts her up for a Splash on Flash, which gets two. Sarita whips Flash into the ropes, but she's able to stop herself before walking into a dropkick. She floors Sarita with a clothesline, then tags in Daffney. Sarita hits another variant of a roll over Arm Drag, then a standing 270-degree Leg Drop for two. She tags in Wilde, who comes in with a Sunset Flip off the top rope. Daffney is able to roll through, but Sarita uses Wilde as a springboard to leap into a cover. Slick Johnson points out that she's not the legal woman, and while they discuss that Flash gets in a cheap shot from the apron. She tags in and floors Wilde with a Body Slam. She stomps on her, then chokes her out with her boot. She kicks her around the ring a bit before tagging back in Daffney. Daffney continues the kicks, culminating in the Daffknees—a modified Shining Wizard where she hits with her knees. She locks Taylor Wilde in a sitting Abdominal Stretch, complete with an abdominal claw. Wilde powers out, and both women make tags. Sarita takes it to Flash with some chops, and floors Daffney with a clothesline. Daffney still helps Flash catch Sarita on an attempted Cross Body Block, but Sarita slips away from Flash and gets Daffney with a Tornado DDT. Wilde comes back to floor Flash with some stiff kicks. Sarita helps her onto the top rope for a Springboard Splash, then jumps on for a cover. Daffney breaks it up at two, so Wilde takes her out of the ring. Sarita wins with some type of Gut-Wrench Slam—she finally has a finisher! PWtorch.com

10/18/09 Bound For Glory PPV - Irvine, CA - Mick Foley vs. Abyss
Foley attacked Abyss on the ramp with a barbed wire baseball bat. He gave him a neckbreaker on the stage. Taz said Foley believes Abyss is a carbon copy of him, but he doesn't think that gives Abyss the credit he deserves. Foley climbed scaffolding on the stage. Abyss followed behind. Foley punched Abyss repeatedly, knocking Abyss to the stage. Abyss crashed through it and then went into convulsions. They fought to the ring and used a table wrapped in barbed wire, kendo sticks, and other objects. Foley poured thumb tacks on the mat. Tenay said he banned those. Taz clarified that only Abyss was banned from using them. Abyss set up a chokeslam on Foley, but special ref Dr. Stevie warned him about being DQ'd. Abyss then gave Stevie a Shock Treatment. Daffney slid Foley a taser. Foley jammed it at Abyss and sparks flew in a hokey special effect that didn't last as long as the taser was pushed against him. Foley made the cover and a second ref ran out. That ref counted to three. Abyss didn't hear the first handslap and didn't kick out until after three. The crowd turned on the match badly at that point. Tenay and Taz were left to try to cover for it. When Tenay said he thought it was a three count, Taz said, "You think? I'm being sarcastic. It was definitely three." The ref was left looking like an idiot. Foley pulled out a sock and wrapped it in barbed wire, but Abyss sent Foley head first into the barbed wire wrapped table with a drop toe hold. Stevie yanked the special ref out of the ring. Abyss chokeslammed Daffney off the top rope through a table on the floor, which the director inexcusably missed. Stevie then went after Abyss and chokeslammed him onto the thumb tacks. Dozens were stuck into Stevie's back. Abyss then chokeslammed Foley onto the barbed wire. Abyss dragged Stevie over, made the cover, and slammed Stevie's hand onto the mat three times. In an funny scene, Daffney was still stuck to the barbed wire at ringside, crying for help. PWtorch.com

WebMaster's Note: Guess it wasn't a funny scene - read below.
