According to the Slam! Wrestling Website, Steve Austin is expected to marry Debra a little before WrestleMania. Recent reports have stated that they have been engaged but no wedding date was set. [Joe Starson]

During JR's Sunday Night Heat interview with Steve Austin at his home, Stone Cold told the viewers several things.  The first was that Steve expects to come back within 3-4 months and the second was that he was officially announcing to the world that he and Debra will be getting married in the very near future.  Now this would definitely be a marriage to schedule on a PPV!  Let's hope the WWF, Steve & Debra think so.  Does this now mean we're never going to see the 'puppies'?  For all you Debraholics out there - so sorry!

The Puppies are done with. The woman who started the now infamous chant across Pro Wrestling, Debra, is reportedly COMPLETELY done with the wrestling world. With the wedding only a short few months around the corner, Debra's decided to help out her future husband, Stone Cold Steve Austin, as much as possible. 04/30/00 Backlash PPV
After being MIA since November of '99 Debra finally made a short appearance for the WWF fans.

Before the first title match got underway between Road Dogg/X-Pac and Christian/Edge for the tag team championship, Debra came out to be a special ring announcer.  Looking stunning as usual in one of her trademark business suit's, the queen of puppies wasn't onscreen for  long before the match got started.  At the end of the match she quickly announced the winner and that's the last we saw of her for the night. For starters, it appears as if Debra McMichael [soon to be Debra Austin] is ready for a complete return to WWF television. She made her triumphant return at the same PPV that her future husband did, "Backlash," only to stir up things on the wild card even more. To promote the return, WWFDivas.com has also set up a brand new Debra pictorial which is simply amazing. Now, going back to the whole marriage thing, word had it that it was to be the Friday following WrestleMania 2000, however, obviously it wasn't recognized and the new 'rumor' seems to be late in the month of June. Debra will not be returning to the WWF anytime soon. She is happy with her fiance, WWF Superstar Steve Austin in TX. She will come back around the same time as Steve Austin, but will not manage him or anything like that. The big word going around is that when Steve Austin and Debra return to the WWF, they will either be aligned or on opposite teams but in any case will likely be involved in the same angle. From what I understand, the reasoning for this is because the WWF has gone public in a big way in regard to the fact that Austin and Debra are engaged and will be married later this year. In fact, every time we hear about Austin on WWF.com, Debra is also mentioned and many within feel that by having them in separate angles will tend to be somewhat awkward. It's expected that Debra will indeed return to WWF TV at the side of Steve Austin, upon his return. In approximately sixty-days -- the timeframe Jim Ross laid-out in this week's "Ross Report" for Austin's return to WWF TV, and once Austin's finally "back and settled" into storyline, expect Debra to then reappear after her long absence. When Debra returns, do not look for her to be involved with Steve Austin on the air, as the WWF feels that having Stone Cold pair up with a female may not be good for his gimmick. [Jason Hamil]

A fact that has been known for quite some time now, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Debra will be flying to Las Vegas to get married within the next week or so. Debra has explained that she would like to return to Federation television as soon as possible; by marrying Austin the couple will be able to keep their commitment to each other on the road and will have a much more steady relationship. Steve Austin and Debra, as reported in the Ross Report last week, are to get married in the very near future in Las Vegas. Once that is all over and done with, the booking team will script a return for Debra. Although nothing has been indicated either way, she will likely figure into an angle involving Austin, whether it be aligned with him or against him. In the past and despite heavy rumors, the WWF has been worried about sticking a valet with Stone Cold (example: Sable), but since it is public knowledge that Debra and Austin are to get married, it would not be overly awkward from a logic perspective and at the same time would not hurt Stone Cold's image. Steve Austin on Howard Stern Monday talked about his marriage to Debra. He claimed she was in her 20s. Stern noted that the last time Austin was on, he said he would never marry again. Austin grunted. He said he made Debra sign a pre-nuptial agreement and that neither of them wanted any kids. He commented on TNN, saying he liked the network because they aired hunting shows. Mick Foley came to the ring to address one of his biggest problems - the punishing investigation that Stone Cold Steve Austin has been conducting. Foley said he wanted the brutality to stop, so he called Austin out so he could explain himself. Mick told Austin that he isn't his enemy; he isn't Vince McMahon. But Foley wanted one thing - Austin not to interfere in any more matches.

Austin responded by telling Foley that the Commish's investigation was failing. Austin said Foley had no idea who had hit him with the car. But Foley said he did know who did it! Then he brought out Bad Ass Billy Gunn! Foley said he'd leave the ring, so Austin could serve justice Stone Cold style!

Mr. Ass and Austin stared at each other until Billy spoke. He said he may have not been accounted for the night Austin was hit, but that was because his flight was delayed.

But he had some information. The night Austin was hit, Billy Gunn was pulling into the arena, with the Brooklyn Brawler, and a car sped past him - the same car that hit Austin! Mr. Ass said he caught a glimpse of the person in the car, and that person had blonde hair! Shockingly, Austin said he believed him! But, he said he never liked Mr. Ass anyway, so the Rattlesnake stunned him and walked away!

WebMaster's Note: Could the blonde woman actually be Debra?  We've wondered for a while whether Debra could somehow be involved.  Why not have the happily married couple on opposing sides of the ring.

As a part of Steve Austin's workouts for his in-ring return, he has Debra -- now his wife -- running the ropes and tackling him. Debra will also be returning to an on-air role shortly, and it wouldn't be too shocking to see if she's involved in Austin's angle, although it's far from a sure thing. Steve Austin, like many others, doesn't think that having her paired up with him fits his character, so she will probably either be booked against him or in a completely different storyline. Internet speculation has been saying that Mick Foley is now the culprit. Although Mick has retired sources are saying that he is coming back as a heel sometime in the future. The latest now that I am hearing is that Debra, Steve Austin's newly wed, is the culprit. The WWF is contemplating this idea, but they do not want to break Austin and Debra up. From past experience they know that wrestling breakups sometimes lead to real breakups such as the Goldust/Terri, Steve McMicheal/Debra, scenarios. [Jeff Sciullo]

Backstage, Chyna welcomed her friend Debra to the arena! Chyna mentioned that she was having trouble finding Eddie Guerrero. The returning Debra said she was looking for Commissioner Foley's office!

Debra then entered the commissioner's office, where Foley asked Debra about her and Stone Cold's honeymoon. He then said that maybe Austin's injury wasn't totally a bad thing, since the Rattlesnake found someone to nurse him back to health who he wound up falling in love with -- Debra! He asked Debra if she hit Austin because she was sick of him being on the road away from her. Debra said that she loved Steve and there was no way she did it. Foley told Debra not to leave the arena just yet. [wwf.com]

Who Ran Over Stone Cold?
The commish looked to be ready for a showdown with The Rock. Foley said that all of the evidence pointed to The Rock. The commish then said that The Rock was not guilty -- but RIKISHI was! He said that Scotty 2 Hotty slipped by saying that Rikishi was in the locker room with them, when Rikishi wasn't even at Survivor Series! Foley just wanted to know why.

Rikishi then grabbed the mic and admitted his guilt. He then said he didn't do it for himself, that he instead did it for The Rock. He said he saw Austin standing in the parking lot that night and everything flashed in front of his eyes. He said the Federation had always been about the Great White Hope. He said the Federation always held back the "island boys," including The Rock's grand father and the Samoans. He said he ran Stone Cold over for The Rock. He said he didn't expect payback from The Rock, and that Rock didn't have anything to do with it. Rikishi then said he was proud of the level Rock had achieved, and that he'd run over Austin all over again. [wwf.com]

Commissioner Mick Foley got a standing ovation from the sold-out crowd at the FleetCenter as he headed to the ring. The commish spoke of the non-title match between Angle and Triple H, and the No. 1 contenders match between Jericho and Rock, with the winner to face Angle on SmackDown! Foley said that his job was a lot harder than he thought, and that it was a job too big for him. He said he had loved being the commissioner, and it was a dream come true. He then smiled and said he wasn't quitting, but he needed some help! He said he had found someone to help him make decisions, someone who personifies guts and intestinal fortitude.

He then named his lieutenant commissioner -- Debra! As the crowd chanted "We want puppies!," Foley said that he and Debra would have very many nice days as commissioner. [wwf.com]

Debra was talking to Women's Champion Lita in her office when Ivory entered, saying she wanted a title shot, so the Women's Champion would be someone respectable. Ivory scolded Debra for showing off the "puppies!" Trish Stratus and Jacqueline would soon enter into the fray. Debra made a Four Corners Match for the Women's Championship, and further stated that T&A, the Hardy Boyz and the Right to Censor would not be allowed to interfere in the contest! Mick Foley and Debra are the two commissioners in the World Wrestling Federation. As we have heard, Debra is not expected to be a commissioner for much longer. Mick Foley and Debra may begin a feud over who is the best commissioner, but Mick Foley will not quit his job, Debra will be the one to go.
