| 01/01/01 Monday Night Raw Backstage, Regal confronted Debra. He asked her to cover her breasts as it was very distracting to him. Debra told him he would just have to deal with it. He then told her that Steph wanted him to deliver a message, there will be a special surprise guest ref to make sure things go smoothly in his title match against SCSA. Debra asked him who its is going to be, but Regal informed her that if her told her then it wouldn't be a surprise. 01/19/01 Internet Rumor 02/02/01 Internet News 03/05/01 Monday Night Raw Debra then walked in to her husband's locker room, and when she said she had talked to Vince, Austin said she couldn't trust him! She said she wanted to go back to managing, and Austin told her that was all fine and well, and she could do what she wanted, but he wanted to talk about it later, because he was getting ready for his match. In Vince's office, he and Debra discussed her return to managing, and then Mr. McMahon wished her luck in her new endeavor. The main event of RAW saw Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock team up to take on the team of Kurt Angle and Triple H. Before the match began, J.R. announced that Angle had indeed broken Scotty 2 Hotty's ankle earlier in the night. Also, before the match, Mr. McMahon came to the ring and introduced Debra. She came to the ring and told her that from now on, Debra would be managing The Rock! The Rock then came out to the ring and began yelling at Vince McMahon! Then, Stone Cold came out to the ring and grabbed Mr. McMahon by the jacket! Before Austin could do anything, Triple H pulled him off and the match was on. The Rattlesnake and the Game picked up right where they left off at No Way Out, and then both men tagged in their partners. The Rock and Angle went at each other with everything they had, and Angle did everything in his power to try and injure The Rock. Angle then went after Austin, and tried to take him out as well. The Rock then entered the ring and flattened Triple H! Then The Rock covered Angle for the win! After the match, Stone Cold and Debra tired to figured out her new position as The Rock's new manager! The two seemed very confused and frustrated as RAW went off the air! [wwf.com] 03/08/01 Thursday Smackdown Debra also told the chairman that she was upset about managing The Rock, who will face her husband -- Stone Cold Steve Austin -- at WrestleMania! Mr. McMahon said he was shocked on RAW when Debra resigned and said she wanted to go back to managing. The owner said he wanted to reward Debra for all her hard work, and he decided to allow her to manage the Federation Champion! Mr. McMahon said that he now understood the personal conflict, but he had always thought of Debra as a goal-oriented career woman. He told Debra to go back to Texas to be a housewife if she really wanted to, but he said he thought she could do a good job. Debra said it was an uncomfortable situation, but she was up for the challenge. Before Debra left, Mr. McMahon told her that he really admired the necklace she was wearing. In the locker room, Stone Cold Steve Austin talked to his wife, Debra. The Rattlesnake told his wife that she had been tricked by Mr. McMahon, and that he was in a very uncomfortable situation. Hermie interviewed The Rock. The Federation Champion said he didn't need Debra or any other manager -- especially for the biggest match in his career. Rock asked Debra one question -- Could she accept the fact that at WrestleMania, she couldn't stop The Rock from whipping her husband's candy ass? The main event on SmackDown! was a Handicap Match pitting Haku and Rikishi against The Rock, accompanied by Debra. Amazingly, the People's Champion won the match, pinning Haku after a Rock Bottom! After the bout, Rikishi attacked The Rock and floored him with a Banzai Drop. Debra then got into the ring to save Rock, and Rikishi yelled at her. Haku then held her in the corner, preparing her for the Stink Face. But as Rikishi went for the Stink Face, Stone Cold ran to the ring to come to his wife's aid, knocking out Haku and Rikishi! As Austin left the ringside area, Debra checked on The Rock, who was still feeling the after-effects of the Banzai Drop. [wwf.com] 03/12/01 Monday Night Raw During the match as Debra entered the ring to check on Rock, Angle put her in the ankle lock! At that, Stone Cold ran to the ring, tossed Angle out and then Stunned The Rock, making good on his earlier threats! [wwf.com] 03/15/01 Thursday Smackdown 03/22/01 Thursday Smackdown Later on backstage, Mr. McMahon was getting some coffee when he was approached by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin told McMahon that if anything happened to Debra at WrestleMania, he was not only holding Rock responsible, but also Vince! [wwf.com] 03/23/01 Internet News The next day (April 3rd) they will release a "Divas In Hedonism" video that was shot in Jamaica. I did catch that there are two different video covers and advertisements for the video. In the April 2001 issue of RAW Magazine, the add shows Chyna, The Kat, Trish, Terri, Jacqueline, Debra, Tori and Lita. But if you go over to the WWF Shopzone the cover/advertisement features all the Divas with the exception of The Kat. [owow.com] 03/29/01 Thursday Smackdown Later backstage after Austin and The Rock had confronted one another and battled in the ring, Commissioner Regal told Debra that Mr. McMahon wanted to see her in his office right away! 04/02/01 Monday Night Raw 04/12/01 Thursday Smackdown Debra then entered J.R.'s locker room and said she felt terrible about what Austin did to him in Oklahoma last week. She said that she had nothing to do with it, and then she asked how he was doing. J.R. said he would be OK -- and then Stone Cold walked into the locker room! Austin accused J.R. [wwf.com] 04/16/01 Monday Night Raw Just then, Stone Cold Steve Austin's wife Debra came out to the ring, with a large smile on her face! She told Vince she didn't believe a word he just said! Debra said she knew one thing - that Vince had a negative influence on her husband! Vince retaliated by saying it was all Stone Cold's idea, not Vince's, and she couldn't blame him for Austin's actions. Mr. McMahon said he was proud of Austin, because now we know the real Stone Cold. Vince added that behind every great man was a great woman, and Debra must be the exception to the rule! Debra said she did blame Steve, but she also blamed Vince, and then she hauled off and slapped him right across the face! Moments later, Mr. McMahon climbed into a limo, muttering under his breath. Elsewhere, Stone Cold Steve Austin dragged Debra into his locker room! Austin asked Debra what she was thinking, slapping her boss like that! Her told her to "sit her little ass down" and not move until her told her to! Later as Triple H and Stephanie watched replays from their dressing room Stone Cold stormed in. Austin demanded that Triple H join him in beating up the Hardys. Triple H said that he wouldn't do that because he didn't want to blow his shot at Jeff later! Austin said he'd help the Game later, because he couldn't just sit on being beaten by Matt! Triple H said that he didn't want Austin to cost him the title later, so he told him to go to the hotel and calm down! Austin reluctantly agreed. As Debra paced in Austin's locker room, he stormed in and told her to grab her little suitcase, because they were getting out of there. [wwf.com] WebMaster's Note: The WWF could definitely develop Debra into a real interesting character here. Imagine her taking her own "path" and giving Vince and SCSA both fits by being her own woman! I've always liked Debra and would love to see her finally get a "meaty" part/storyline developed around her. The Lt. Commissioner angle was a dud. 04/20/01 Internet News/Rumors ----- Originally Debra was supposed to be on Austin’s side rather than Jim Ross’s in the Stone Cold Steve Austin heel turn storyline, but the WWF decided to let Debra go in a different direction. [Justin Rowland] ----- Debra, who had been placed as the Rock’s manager for the Wrestlemania main event, was abruptly removed on the Smackdown before the event. The reason is that officials didn’t feel she was a major part of TV in recent months, and her involvement didn’t make much sense. In addition, Steve Austin was not so keen on having his wife identified as such in the storyline. ----- Due to the fact that Debra has not been on TV much at all lately since SmackDown! before WrestleMania, the WWF decided to go in a completely different direction with the new Steve Austin angle. The original plan was for Vince McMahon to put Debra with in order to infiltrate Rock's head and help Austin win. At the end of the entire show, it would put Steve Austin, Debra, and Vince McMahon altogether. Austin had been quoted saying this before, "I don't enjoy being linked with my wife on television angles." Austin reluctantly agreed to go through with the storyline. [Michael Payton] ----- Although Debra is appearing as though she is completely opposed to Stone Cold's new found attitude, expect a twist to occur somewhere down the line, whereby Debra will turn heel along with Austin. It is highly likely that JR will be in the center of this, if indeed it occurs. [James Dylan] ----- Steve Austin is expected to start a semi-program with his wife, continuing on from SmackDown! where Austin forced Debra to get her things and leave the building after a noticed conversation with Jim Ross. Austin is expected to play the possessive husband type which should in turn get him more over as a heel and likely leading into Debra aligning with some outside force battling the Vince-HHH-Austin regime. Things should definitely start to take shape on tonight's RAW is WAR and tomorrow night's WWF SmackDown! tapings. [Matt Boone] ----- The original plan was for Debra, Steve Austin and Vince McMahon to all reunite after Wrestlemania as the revealing of their plan. McMahon would then have explained that Debra was put with Rock to mess with his mind. However, some members of management disagreed with certain people even completely against putting Debra in an angle with Austin, but once Steve was sold on the idea, it materialized. [Fred Cook] 04/26/01 Thursday Smackdown A few minutes later, Debra returned with the coffee. She gave Triple H and Stephanie theirs, and then dumped the Rattlesnake's coffee all over him! An irate Stone Cold told Debra to get in the truck, but not to leave until he told her to. [wwf.com] WebMaster's Note: I'm beginning to like this lady more and more. She's definitely turning into a woman with a mind of her own. 05/03/01 Thursday Smackdown Backstage, Taker looked for Austin, but he was ambushed by the Rattlesnake. But the Taker recovered -- and tossed Stone Cold through a plate glass window, shattering it! As Taker was escorted away, Mr. McMahon and Triple H found Austin in a bloody heap, clutching his eyes and screaming that he couldn't see! Moments later, the Rattlesnake told a trainer that he couldn't see a thing out of his left eye. Triple H suggested that he may have glass in his eye -- and the trainer immediately called for an ambulance. 05/07/01 Monday Night Raw 05/10/01 Thursday Smackdown 05/21/01 Monday Night Raw Stone Cold entered his dressing room, and Debra sat there waiting for him. Austin asked where she was. Debra said she was getting coffee. Austin said he was worried about the Undertaker, and just then, Taker burst through the door! The Dead Man said it wasn't over between them, and if Austin ever brought his family into it ever again, he would show Austin what it meant to step on someone's family! After Taker left, Austin screamed at Debra, telling her if she wasn't there, he would have beat Undertaker's ass! [wwf.com] 06/18/01 Monday Night Raw Stone Cold entered Regal's office, and Regal informed Austin that Spike wanted him in a match tonight. Regal suggested a six-man tag, with Austin and the Dudley Boyz against Spike, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. Austin said OK. The Rattlesnake then said he needed someone to talk to, someone to confide in. Regal said he was always there for him, but Austin said he wasn't talking about Regal, he was talking about Tajiri. Austin asked Regal to leave, and the commissioner did so. Stone Cold sat in Commissioner Regal's chair and complained to Tajiri that Linda McMahon was ruining his life. Austin said he would never let a woman run his life. Stone Cold said it wasn't right for him to be treated that way, and he asked Tajiri what he thought the answer was. Tajiri mumbled to him in Japanese, and Austin said Tajiri was a very wise man. Commissioner Regal then came in and said that it was time for Tajiri's match, so the two headed to the ring! Backstage, a limo arrived at the arena, and out walked Vince McMahon! McMahon was approached by the Brooklyn Brawler, who asked the Federation chairman how he was doing. Vince said he was doing pretty well, except for the fact that his wife's divorce attorneys had just put him through the ringer. McMahon then asked where Stone Cold was, and the Brawler told him that Stone Cold was in his office. Stone Cold was polishing his Federation Championship when Mr. McMahon came in. McMahon asked Austin how he was feeling mentally. Austin said he was focused, and felt good. Mr. McMahon said he wanted to ask Austin about a couple of things, specifically about the hug Austin gave him last week on RAW IS WAR, and the look on Austin's eyes. He asked Austin what he was thinking. The Rattlesnake said it was just a good old-fashioned hug. McMahon then asked about the petition, saying that Linda wouldn't change her mind, and that Linda wasn't a rational woman. Vince said he was also angered that Austin decided to defend the Federation Championship against Spike without consulting with him. McMahon then questioned why Austin would put himself in a six-man on RAW. Austin said he was sick of Vince, and he gave Mr. McMahon an ultimatum -- it was him or Linda! The Rattlesnake then walked out of the locker room, leaving a perplexed Mr. McMahon behind. [wwf.com] 06/21/01 Thursday Smackdown Mr. McMahon was playing with the hunting bow when Stone Cold and Debra walked in. Debra was holding a stack of homemade cookies. Vince said the cookies were delicious, and Austin said they tasted like crap, and he liked to skim them across the river! Austin then yelled at his wife for putting too much sugar on the cookies! Austin then went back to Mr. McMahon, and the chairman again thanked him for everything. Stone Cold then gave Mr. McMahon a framed and autographed picture of the two men shaking hands at WrestleMania! Austin said that the two of them were like the old song -- "That's What Friends Are For." Later, Stone Cold was looking for Vince McMahon backstage, and he asked a technician where Vince was. The technician responded that he thought Vince had left the building, and Austin said that was impossible, since Vince wouldn't have left without telling him good-bye! During the break, Stone Cold entered Mr. McMahon's locker room to find the cookies, picture, hat, and bow and arrow lying on the couch, with Mr. McMahon nowhere to be found. Austin took the stuff back for safe keeping until he saw the chairman again. As Stone Cold walked away, he ran into Mr. McMahon, who informed Austin that he had been with Michael Cole, who had threatened to sue the Federation for Stone Cold beating him up earlier in the evening. McMahon said he had talked Cole out of it, but Cole was still thinking about suing the Rattlesnake -- and if so, Mr. McMahon insisted it was coming out of Austin's wallet! McMahon then told Austin the chairman would not be at King of the Ring, and when Austin went to hug McMahon, McMahon stopped him, and issued an ultimatum to the Rattlesnake -- retain the title at King of the Ring, or else their relationship was through! As McMahon walked away, a dejected Stone Cold thought about the ramifications of that statement, as SmackDown! went off the air. [wwf.com] 06/29/01 Internet News 07/19/01 Thursday Smackdown 07/23/01 Monday Night Raw 07/30/01 Monday Night Raw 08/02/01 Thursday Smackdown 08/06/01 Monday Night Raw Lita was getting something to drink backstage when she ran into Debra. Lita said she was very impressed by Debra last Thursday on SmackDown! for talking back to Austin. She said she knew it was probably hard to live with a man like Stone Cold, and Debra got offended, asking what she meant by that. Lita said that it was odd to her that such a sweet woman like Debra could get along with a man like Austin. Debra was very offended, and said she would talk to Lita later. She then walked away in a huff. In Stone Cold's locker room, Debra complained to her husband about what Lita had just said, embellishing a bit by saying Lita called Austin "trailer trash" and said that Matt Hardy could beat Austin's butt any day of the week! Matt Hardy and Lita talked backstage, and were approached by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin said that Debra had told him everything she had said, and Lita denied the allegations. Austin told Lita to shut up, and Matt said not to talk to her like that! Austin said that if Lita was so confident that Matt could kick his ass, then maybe they should meet in the ring later in the night! Later, Stone Cold walked backstage and saw Lita talking on her cell phone. He accused her of telling more lies, and she said the whole thing was just a misunderstanding. She said it was stupid, and he said they'd see who looked stupid tonight. Stone Cold entered his locker room and said he had just straightened everything out with Lita -- he told Debra that Lita had called her "country dumb," like Debra had just fallen off the back of the turnip truck! He also said Lita had said that Debra's roots were getting a bit too dark! Austin said he stuck up for Debra, and that he was going to whip Matt Hardy's ass right now! With Debra and Lita at ringside, World Wrestling Federation Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin took on European Champion Matt Hardy in a non-title match. Matt got the early advantage on the Rattlesnake, but Stone Cold rallied back, assaulting the North Carolina native. Austin soon started choking Matt and wouldn't let go, as Debra and Lita got into it. Lita soon wound up in the ring, and Austin hit the Stunner on Lita. Matt snuck up behind Austin and went for the Twist of Fate, but Austin reversed, hit the Stunner and pinned Matt for the 1-2-3. After the bout, Austin talked trash to Lita, and assaulted referee Tim White. [wwf.com] 08/23/01 Thursday Smackdown 08/26/01 Sunday Heat Later, as William Regal relaxed in the green room, he went to enjoy a cookie with his tea when Tajiri stormed in and smacked the cookie out of his hand! Tajiri told Regal not to eat the cookie because he was afraid they were made by Debra! Regal told Tajiri to relax, and they left to go out to the stage. [wwf.com] 08/27/01 Monday Night Raw Debra complained to Austin how someone could do that to her, and that Austin being her husband should stand up for her. Austin asked why he should because he's the champion. All Debra could do is scream in horror! [wwf.com] 08/30/01 Thursday Smackdown Debra was in Stone Cold’s locker room when Stacy and Shawn entered. They said they wanted to apologize for dousing her with rancid milk on RAW. Debra was furious, saying she had to wash her hair five times to get the smell out. Stacy said that she had baked Debra some cookies as a peace offering. Debra tried one and said that they were really good. Then, she smashed the tray of cookies in Stacy’s face and beat her over the back with the metal tray! The duo fled the locker room as Mrs. Stone Cold continued to verbally berate them. [wwf.com] 09/03/01 Monday Night Raw In Stone Cold's dressing room, Stephanie entered the room and Austin nearly jumped out of his skin! Austin told Steph that she needed to knock, because she scared Debra half to death. Stephanie apologized, and told Austin that his surprise was getting nearer. Austin told Stephanie that Debra was asking if Angle was anywhere nearby, and Stephanie told everyone not to worry, because Angle wouldn't show his face. As Austin went to drink a beer, he cracked it open and nearly jumped out of his skin again! Outside Stone Cold's locker room, Stephanie and Debra got ready to go pick up Austin's surprise. When they found out it was ready, Debra stuck her head in the door and told Austin not to come out until they told him to. Stephanie then made her way out to the ring. The Princess told the Canadian crowd that they were backwards - for example, Canadians shouldn't celebrate Labour Day, because Canada is the laziest country in the world! Steph said that no worked harder than Americans, and the hardest working one is Stone Cold Steve Austin! Then, the most paranoid SOB in sports-entertainment walked out to the ring. Stephanie then showed Stone Cold his surprise - a brand new pickup truck! In the parking area, Debra showed off the features of Austin's new truck and then asked Stone Cold to come back to take her in a ride in it! Austin and Stephanie hurried their way to the back. When they got there, Austin said that he loved his new truck! As he admired it, Kurt Angle jumped out of a production truck and hit Austin from behind! He threw a cinder block with a chain attached to it in the truck and took off with Austin knocked out in the back! In the Alliance dressing room, Stephanie called the "Canadian Police" and described Austin's truck when suddenly, footage appeared on the television of Kurt Angle and Stone Cold. Angle parked the car and started speaking to Austin, who was blindfolded and chained up. Angle took off the blindfold and showed Austin where they were - a river in Toronto. As Austin said he was sorry, Angle kept asking him "What?" Angle threatened to throw Austin over the bridge, and Stone Cold kept saying he was sorry, and Angle said he didn't want to do it. Austin said thank you, and Angle continued saying he didn't want to do it - but only because the bridge wasn't nearly high enough! Back at the arena, Stephanie demanded that the members of the Alliance get moving so someone could help Stone Cold! At a different, higher, bridge in Toronto, Kurt Angle led Stone Cold to the edge. Stone Cold said that he was sorry for throwing his medals in the Detroit River, and that he would go back and get them. Angle said it was too late for that. Kurt said he wanted Austin to beg, and then he put the blindfold back on Austin! Angle said if he didn't beg and cry, Angle would throw Austin over the edge faster than Austin threw his medals over the edge last week! Back in the ring, Debra pleaded with Kurt Angle not to hurt her husband. She cried and sobbed and said that Austin may be a bad guy, but he was the love of her life. She begged Kurt not to hurt her husband. At the bridge, Angle demanded for Austin to beg. Austin said he was sorry, and Angle kept asking him "What?" Austin said he was so sorry. Angle called him pathetic for begging him, and then told him to cry. Austin said he couldn't cry. Angle told him to cry, and Austin started crying. Angle called him pathetic and a joke! Austin said he was sorry and that he was such a jackass for throwing his medals into the river. Angle said there was one thing he wanted more than his medals - a match for the WWF Championship! Austin said it was Angle's match to name, and Angle said he wanted it at Unforgiven in Angle's hometown of Pittsburgh, PA! Austin agreed. Then Angle said that Austin was still going in the water, and pushed him backwards into a wading pool Angle had set on the side of the road! [wwf.com] 09/04/01 Smackdown (Special Tuesday Night Show) Debra checked on Stone Cold's burned tongue backstage, and then told Austin that she thought he should go to the ring and talk to the public. Austin said he had already explained himself to the members of the Alliance, and didn't want to talk to the people. Debra reasoned that the people in the arena were foreign, and Austin said he'd think about it. Backstage after another match, Debra told Stone Cold that he should go to the ring and explain, and Austin said she was right. The sold-out crowd at the Air Canada Centre rose to its feet moments later, as Stone Cold's music played. But when he got to the stage, he suddenly grew reluctant and headed backstage. But moments later, he came back out and headed to the ring, not before jawing with a number of fans. The World Wrestling Federation Champion said that the only reason he was out there is because the people on hand were just a bunch of foreigners who didn't matter to him. Austin said he couldn't believe how bloodthirsty the people of Canada were on Monday night, as Kurt Angle was about to throw him off the bridge. He accused the people of not respecting him or his wife. He said he didn't respect the Canadian race. [wwf.com] 09/13/01 Thursday Smackdown [2 Nights After The World Trade Center Tragedy] During the show several of the WWF/Alliance Superstars were asked to express their feelings about the WTC tragedy: 10/08/01 Monday Night Raw Debra entered the commissioner's office, and told Regal how beautiful his office was. She asked him about his ruling about not allowing Alliance members at ringside. She said that surely he wasn't talking about her. Regal asked if she had baked any cookies today, and when she said no, Regal said she should go do it now -- since she was indeed barred from ringside for the title match! The main event on RAW was up next, as Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to challenge Kurt Angle for the World Wrestling Federation Championship! Surprisingly, Debra headed to the ringside area shortly after her husband did, taking a seat near the timekeeper, and clearly defying Commissioner Regal's orders! Moments later, the commish came to ringside and grabbed her by her ear, demanding that she return to the locker room! Regal said that he would be sitting at ringside to make sure that things went smoothly from then on in the bout. As Austin got face-to-face with Regal, Angle's music hit, and it was time for the title match to begin! [wwf.com] 10/12/01 Internet Rumor 10/26/01 Internet Rumor 12/07/01 Internet Rumor ----- We may have indeed have seen the last for Debra on WWF television. She has definitely not played a major role at all since her return with husband Stone Cold. The writers have been having many problems coming up with a role for her, and she hasn't been getting the crowd reactions she did when she first debuted a few years ago. [Amber A.] |
