06/06/02 Thursday Smackdown!
Mr. McMahon was on his cell phone in his office talking to Undertaker, assuring him that no matter who won the No. 1 Contenders Match tonight, Taker would remain champion after King of the Ring. There was then a knock on the door, and Tough Enough 2 winners Jackie and Linda came in. The two ladies introduced themselves, and as they were doing so, Ivory came in and asked what the hell was going on. She apologized to Vince, saying she'd turned her back for one second and the women had gotten away. Ivory told the women that they shouldn't just help themselves into Vince's office. She said what they had done was disrespectful and stupid. Jackie went to apologize, but Ivory snapped at her, and said they were lucky Tough Enough was over, because she wouldn't settle for that crap if they were still training under her. Linda then got in Ivory's face, saying Tough Enough was over. Linda apologized to Vince, but Vince said it was OK. He said he felt some tension between the two, and being that this was WWE, he suggested that Linda meet Ivory this Saturday on Velocity! The two agreed. Vince then welcomed the ladies to WWE. WebMaster's Note: Take a close look at the pics. It would seem that Mr. McMahon and Linda are doing a good job flirting with one another.

06/08/02 Saturday Velocity
We went backstage while Jackie and Linda discussed the upcoming match between Linda and their Tough Enough trainer Ivory. Jackie explained to Linda that she wanted to be at ringside so she could watch her beat Ivory in her debut match. Linda told Jackie it would be an honor to have her at ringside as they shook hands and headed for the ring.

The ladies both greeted and hugged Al Snow, who was the color commentator for the match. Linda entered the ring and Ivory wasted no time by immediately slapping Linda in the mouth. Linda quickly took Ivory down and applied a leg scissors to her ex-trainer.

Once Ivory escaped she used a drop toe-hold on Linda, causing her to crash onto the bottom rope. Ivory then went to work on the former student, pummeling her with several kicks to the back. This didn't last long as Linda's large size worked against Ivory. After throwing Ivory around the ring Linda climbed to the top rope as Ivory attacked. Ivory ended up on the mat as Linda countered with punches and a final push.  Linda got set to leap on her opponent from the top rope, but was pushed by her "friend" Jackie, hitting the canvas with a dull thud. It was all over as Ivory picked Linda up and dropped her face first into the mat for the pinfall. [owow.com] For Pics - Click Here.

06/13/02 Thursday Smackdown!
Marc Loyd interviewed Tough Enough 2 winner Linda. After some footage from last week's Velocity - which saw Jackie help Ivory defeat Linda - Linda said that she'd found a tag partner for tonight's tag match against Ivory and Jackie, WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus!

In divas tag action, WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus and Linda took on Ivory and Jackie. As the match began, it was announced that Molly Holly would receive a title shot against Trish at King of the Ring. Linda went to attack Jackie as the match began, but Ivory and Trish pulled them apart. Trish soon picked up the win for her team, pinning Ivory after the Stratus-faction bulldog. [wwe.com]

06/17/02 Monday Night RAW
Mr. McMahon gave instructions to the camera crew backstage when Tough Enough Champion Jackie came in. She asked how Vince would like her to be a RAW girl. Vince said that if she competed next Tuesday on the special Divas Undressed, she could be on RAW. Jackie said next week he would see how raw she can get!

06/24/02 Monday RAW
Vince found Tough Enough Champion Jackie in his office. Mr. McMahon said that he knew she would show up and show off. Mr. McMahon said she would be in a match that night, teaming with Molly Holly against Linda and Trish! Jackie then pulled back her overcoat, making Mr. McMahon wide-eyed.

Linda Miles and Trish Stratus took on Jackie Gayda and the new WWE Women's Champion, Molly Holly, next. Before the match, Molly said it was an honor to bring respect back to the Women's Championship by earning it instead of sleeping her way to the top. Trish said Molly didn't earn the title, she cheated. She didn't sleep her way to it, she worked hard for it. Trish said she would kick Molly's fat ass! The brawl began with Linda catching Jackie in an arm lock while Trish struck the appendage from the top rope. Jackie fought back and tagged in Molly, who picked Linda apart. Before long, Trish came in and took over, dragging Jackie down with the head scissors. Linda nailed Jackie with a dropkick, then Trish hit the Stratusfaction on Molly for the win!

06/29/02 Undressed Divas Special
You knew this was going to be a fun show - Undressed Diva's and Jerry "The King" Lawler as an announcer! Coach was the MC with Maven, Paul Heyman, Al Snow, Jazz and Edge as the judges.

The action got underway with Trish, Torrie, Nidia, Linda, Stacy, Jackie, Dawn Marie and Terri competing for the 1st Annual Golden Thong Award. The women all looked scrumptious and looked like they were all having a good time during the show, except for Trish. During her first entrance on the walkway she was attacked by a crutch wielding Jazz as soon as she turned her back. This effectively put Trish out for the rest of the show.

During one break we all got a glimpse of Mae Young in her lingerie, which Jerry was so impreseed by - Not! - that Mae gave him several kisses. One other hilarious highlight was Rico coming out in costume during the "Free For All' competition. Needless to say the judeges scrambled for cover once he started stripping down.

The winner of the show was Torrie who was so excited that she stuck her sucker on Dawn Marie's breasts! An incensed Stacy told Coach that the only reason that Torrie won was because her boyfriend Maven was one of the judges. This prompted Torrie to reply that at least she didn't sleep with the boss who was 60 years older than her. That was all it took for Stacy to slap Torrie and a catfight broke out onstage between all the contestants. [owow.com] For Pics - Click Here.

07/01/02 Monday Night Raw
Coach found Jackie Gayda backstage and said he thought she should have won the thong-a-thon last week. Jackie said she didn't lose, she just didn't win. And in reality, she didn't lose her tag team match last week, it was the fault of her teammate, Molly Holly. Molly came in and said if she spent less time parading around in her underwear, she'd be a better competitor. Jackie retorted that at least she looks good in her underwear, which earned her a slap to the face! The two women began brawling so fiercely that they made their way to the ring. Molly picked Jackie apart and went to leave, but was blindsided by Trish Stratus! Trish shoved Molly into the ring and smacked her around, then pulled down her pants to reveal a pair of granny panties! The Women's Champion scurried to cover up. [wwe.com]

07/08/02 Monday Night Raw
Coach found Trish Stratus and Jackie Gayda. The Tough Enough Champion accused Trish of being jealous of all the attention she was getting. Trish said Jackie is living in a fantasy world. Christopher Nowinski stepped in and said if anyone's living in fantasy, it's Trish with her little-girl cowboy hat. Trish said they should settle things in the ring with a mixed tag match. Christopher asked if Trish planned to get Buck Rogers as a partner. Actually, Trish said, she'd team with Bradshaw!

Trish Stratus teamed up with Hardcore Champion Bradshaw for an intergender tag team match against Jackie Gayda and Christopher Nowinski. Nowinski crouched down and tried to get Bradshaw into a football stance but then rose into a Heisman Trophy pose! Nowinski fled the ring and tagged in Jackie who began to tanle with Trish. The boys began to clash soon after, with Bradshaw giving Nowinski a sidewalk slam. Nowinski rolled out of the ring and Bradshaw gave chase, leaving the women to duke it out alone. Trish hit Jackie off the top rope and got the pin on the Tough Enough Champion! [wwe.com]

WebMaster's Note: This had to be one of the worst matches anyone has ever seen! Jackie Gayda made several miscues and looked like a little lost lamb in the ring against Trish. I didn't run acrosss the original interview with Trish but almost a year later this match was once again a topic of conversation. Read the interview below.

"Tough Enough" Haste Plagues WWE Hopefuls By Rennie Detore

Jackie Gayda's sports entertainment honeymoon period ended with a resounding thud Monday in one of the more disjointed, mind-numbing television matches in WWE history. The "Tough Enough 2" co-winner seemed lost and subsequently botched two moves during her intergender tag team match with partner Chris Nowinski against Trish Stratus and Bradshaw.

The most notable flub occurred when Stratus attempted to hit Gayda with her signature top-rope bulldog. Stratus climbed the ropes and jumped, but Gayda didn't fall on cue. Instead, she stood while Stratus crashed to the match. Then, Gayda fell awkwardly and was pinned. Even WWE announcer Jim Ross seemed lost for words.

Gayda, however, shouldn't be blamed for what happened on "Raw." Her awful performance should be a wake-up call for Vince McMahon and others affiliated with WWE's product, especially "Tough Enough."

In the WWE's haste to capitalize on the characters created through "Tough Enough," it is sacrificing the show's credibility with viewers. The reality-based MTV series is supposed to be a genuine proving ground for WWE hopefuls. The trainers and producers make decisions based on specific criteria that play out each week.

Performances from "Tough Enough" rookies like Gayda will leave fans wondering just how legitimate the elimination process is, at no fault of the would-be winners. Gayda, Linda Miles, Nidia and even Maven and Nowinski shouldn't be thrust into a national spotlight without sufficient time in the WWE's most notable minor league territory: Ohio Valley Wrestling.

07/12/02 Internet News
If you remember from RAW, Jackie Gayda started a mini-feud with Molly Holly, thus seeming to prove a face turn. However, it appears that the WWE booking team did not remember RAW when they scheduled house shows. For, Jackie Gayda appeared on a tag team, alongside Molly Holly, the very same person she feuded with. This shows that the WWE doesn't put much effort into booking house shows, especially matches involving women.

UPDATE on this story: Apparently Jackie Gayda played the heel role in a house show. [Ben Johnson]

07/26/02 Internet News
-The following is from a recap of Pro Wrestling Weekly Radio, which Pete from Tough Enough 2 comments on Jackie Gayda and her ego:
"Shannon Rose discusses the situation with Pete and Jackie. Pete says that they have a love/hate relationship and he has nothing against her. He feels she has an ego now that she is a "WWE superstar." They discuss how Jackie is getting some heat with the WWE now, especially with an appalling match against Trish Stratus on a recent edition of RAW. [Chris Brown]

----- Jackie Gayda and Linda Miles will be based in Louisville for practices and TV but will also be booked on the road for WWE at times. Both these young ladies have significant potential, but each needs a lot of ring time and practice sessions. They will get an abundance of both in the immediate future. All the talents being called up have potential and we all hope they tap into such. [The Ross Report]

12/13/02 Internet News
We have three outstanding female prospects currently in OVW: Linda Miles, Jackie Gayda and Nikita Fink. All have demonstrated great potential, but as is the case with most young talents, are being challenged with the mental nuances of the business. Focus and familiarity with the product and the business in general will help these three continue to improve and hopefully make it to the primary roster sometime next year. There is certainly no lack of hard work and that is where it all starts in my view. [The Ross Report]
