The Kat came out to the stage and said she wanted to take "extreme" to a whole new level. She said she would give everyone exactly what they wanted to see -- full frontal nudity! But as Kat prepared to take off her bikini top, out came the Right to Censor! Steven Richards was irate at the Federation fans for nearly allowing such a thing to happen! He said that if the fans wanted to see extreme, then the Right to Censor would show them something truly extreme, and it would be for their own good.  [wwf.com]

Thanks to Austin Rohr for sending in the following::

During the Kat's promo (on the 2/1 Smackdown), when she was taking off her top, the RTC came out and covered her up. Well, what you won't see on TV is when the towel they used falls down on one side....the fans on the right side of the stage (me included) got a little more than they bargained for!! [Keith Wilcutt]

02/05/01 Monday Night Raw
The Kat walked into the APA office wearing an overcoat. She said she needed protection from the Right to Censor and she wanted to start a new group - the Right to Nudity! Faarooq and Bradshaw said they'd help her if she had cash or beer, which she didn't. Instead, she removed her jacket, and revealed that she was not wearing a top! The APA then eagerly accepted the job!

The Kat came to the ring flanked by Faarooq and Bradshaw and told the crowd that the Right to Censor was taking away a woman's right to express herself! The Kat went on to say that her new group, the Right to Nudity, would allow people to express themselves however they wanted! The Right to Censor then came to the ring, where the APA did what they were "compensated" to do and attacked them. Steven got in the ring and called the Kat a slut, and upon that, she kissed him on the mouth! As she was about to take off her overcoat, Ivory attacked Kat from behind, and the Kat chased her to the back!  [wwf.com]

02/08/01 Thursday Smackdown
The APA, Jacqueline and The Kat were shown backstage playing strip poker!

Kevin Kelly interviewed Steven Richards about what happened with The Kat on Monday's RAW. Steven said he was a man who made mistakes, but he would never make that mistake again. He said the Kat violated him on RAW. Steven said that yes, we come into the world naked, but we also come into the world innocent, something which he said Kat was not. He said that the Right to Censor would ensure that the Right to Nudity never got off the ground. Steven swore he would fight the World Wrestling Federation and the XFL.

In eight-person tag action, the Right to Censor -- represented by Steven, Ivory, Bull Buchanan and the Goodfather -- took on the APA, Jacqueline and The Kat. Ivory won the match for her team, pinning Kat with her feet on the ropes. [wwf.com]

02/12/01 Monday Night Raw
Cameras switched to WWF New York, where The Kat, dressed in provocative attire, danced around a pole -- with the Right to Censor looking on backstage! Mr. Richards told his team to be patient -- for the end result would be for The Kat's own good!

02/19/01 Monday Night Raw
Backstage, The Kat approached the APA and asked how she was supposed to lead the Right to Nudity if she wasn't allowed to get naked. Bradshaw told Kat that he knew of a club in the area where she could get as naked as she wanted, and the three left to head over there!

The APA and Kat then arrived at the nudie bar in St. Louis! The Kat got on stage to dance with a stripper, when Steven Richards and Ivory jumped on stage to cover them up! As the APA went after Steven, members of the Right to Censor brutally attacked Faarooq and Bradshaw, leaving them in a bloody heap on the floor of the club! The Right to Censor then took Kat away!

Later, Steven Richards and Ivory then walked to the ring, dragging Kat along with them. Steven verbally abused The Kat, and soon Jerry Lawler could take no more. The King got in the ring to defend Kat. Steven said that if Lawler was so supportive of Kat, he would make him a deal -- if Lawler could beat a Right to Censor member of his choice at No Way Out, then Steven would allow Kat to get naked at the Pay-Per-View, but if not, then Kat would belong to them. Lawler agreed, and said he would face Steven himself at the Pay-Per-View! Lawler then punched out Richards, much to the delight of the crowd on hand!  [wwf.com]

02/22/01 Thursday Smackdown
Ivory defended the Women's Championship against The Kat. During the match, Ivory went to yell at Jerry Lawler at ringside, and Kat snuck up behind her and ripped off her shirt! The entire Right to Censor ran to the ring to save Ivory, and when King went to save Kat, he was attacked by Steven Richards, who was disguised as a security guard! The Right to Censor forced Kat to watch as they brutally attacked King! [wwf.com]

02/23/01 Internet Rumor
If the WWF decides to pursue the Kat stripping at No Way Out this Sunday, it certainly won't go without criticism by the Parents Television Council. As stated on RAW, if Jerry Lawler defeats Steven Richards at the PPV, the Right to Censor will allow the Kat to strip on Sunday night from Las Vegas. The other side of the stipulation states that if Richards wins, the Kat will become a member of the Right to Censor. With the PTC now pursuing not only the WWF, but the XFL as well, the Kat stripping would be considered a step in the wrong direction by the WWF in the eyes of the PTC. When the PPV comes on Sunday night and the WWF plans to have nudity, the TV rating the in the top left corner of the screen will contain a "N". However, this will not be the case if nudity is not planned. [Alex Bozich]

02/25/01 No Way Out PPV
According to a pre-match stipulation, Steven agreed to let Kat get naked if he lost to Lawler. If he were to beat Lawler, then Kat would become property of the Right to Censor. Tazz joined J.R. on commentary for the match.

Steven Richards -- who was accompanied to ringside by Women's Champion Ivory -- looked more focused than ever against Jerry Lawler, who was seconded by The Kat. The King was dressed in leopard-skin tights in honor of his shapely friend.  Steven denounced Lawler as a "pervert" as the match began, but it was The King who got the early advantage with a number of right hands. An irate Richards ripped his shirt off in anger, as it seemed he could not gain an advantage against Lawler.

Outside the ring, The Kat slapped Ivory, and Richards knocked Lawler into the ringpost. Back in the ring, Steven missed an avalanche, and Lawler capitalized, repeatedly punching Richards in the corner before assaulting him with a bulldog, earning a two-count.

The crowd chanted for puppies as Steven gained advantage. The leader of the Right to Censor brought a chair into the ring as Ivory distracted the ref. But Lawler hit Richards with a low blow and then two consecutive DDTs. When Lawler went for the pin, however, Ivory distracted the ref. As Kat distracted the ref, Lawler bodyslammed Ivory. Richards had the presence of mind to grab Ivory's Women's Championship, but when he went to hit Lawler, The King ducked. Steven then grabbed King, and Kat grabbed the Women's Championship. But when she went to hit Richards, she accidentally hit Lawler, and Steven pinned The King for the win. After the bout, the Right to Censor wrapped Kat in a burlap sack and took her away. [wwf.com]

02/26/01 Monday Night Raw
A van pulled in to the parking lot carrying the Right to Censor and their reluctant new member, a sobbing and crying Kat! Coach asked Steven why he took Kat against her will. Steven said that "Stacey" was well aware of the implications of the match at No Way Out. As Kat tried to speak, Ivory held her back. Steven then said that he was not worried about the Right to Censor's match against The King and the APA.

Tazz joined J.R. for commentary as Jerry "The King" Lawler, Faarooq and Bradshaw came to the ring to try and settle the score against the Right to Censor's Val Venis, Goodfather and Bull Buchanan. Steven and Ivory also brought Kat to ringside with them. As the match went on, Steven also sat down at the announce table. J.R. and Tazz asked what Steven and the rest of his group had done to Kat, Steven said that they needed to break her down in order to help her. The APA continued to pound on the Right to Censor, and the Kat then went on to choke out Ivory! Steven went to help Ivory and pulled Kat off of her. The Right to Censor took Kat away from the ring, leaving Val Venis in the ring, allowing Lawler to score the win. It was an empty victory for the APA and Lawler, because the Kat was still being held by the Right to Censor. [wwf.com]

02/27/01 Internet News
Stacy Carter (The Kat) was released today by the World Wrestling Federation. Her husband, Jerry "The King" Lawler, also decided to leave the company under protest. We have also received word that Michael Cole and Jim Ross are announcing tonight's Smackdown! program, which furthers this story that Lawler is gone, at least for the time being.

Update: 11pm EST - The Kat was apparently fired after a storyline disagreement/dispute late this afternoon and Lawler quit soon thereafter.

Update: 12:30am EST - All attempts made to contact Jerry Lawler have failed so far. He is not answering phone calls and is not responding to messages left.

* The following comes from The Kat's and The King's Official Website:
Stacy was released by the WWF this afternoon. In protest, Jerry Lawler has also parted ways with the WWF. The release came as a total surprise without any provocation whatsoever. As for the speculation that was reported on other websites, there wasn't any disagreement involving an angle.

Notes from the KingLawler.com Webmaster - I talked to Jerry on the phone tonight. He informed me that they had a business meeting to discuss the angles and events that were to take place on Smackdown. They took a break around 2:00 and came back at 4:00 or so. When they came back, JR told Lawler that they had to release Stacy. King told JR and Vince that if Stacy goes, he goes also. There was absolutely no incident or provocation of any kind that lead up to this. Jerry and Stacy are trying to figure this one out as well. [The Chokeslam Newsletter]

03/01/01 Thursday Smackdown
Ivory, Bull Buchanan and the Goodfather of the Right to Censor stood in front of a locker room door. Ivory listened at the door, and told the men that someone inside was still being interrogated. Goodfather said he hoped the rumors weren't true.

Backstage, Ivory, Bull and the Goodfather were still listening at the door when Steven Richards emerged from the room -- and Val Venis was seen inside the room, not looking too happy. Steven told the trio that he feared the worst, and he told them to prepare to take action. Steven then went back into the room and was heard to scream, "How could you do this to us? Why? Why?"

Back in the Right to Censor locker room, Steven and Val emerged from the room, and Steven told Ivory, Bull and Goodfather that Val had confessed. Ivory, Bull and Goodfather then started beating on Val -- and Steven told Val that it was for his own good! Bull and Goodfather then led Val to the ring.Val looked like he was about to cry as he addressed the crowd.

Val said that for years, he led his life as a "whoremonger," as a man who knew no better, and that was his excuse. He said tonight, he had no excuse. Val said he had made a horrible, horrible mistake. He said that in one lousy night, all the good he had done for the Right to Censor now means nothing, because he wasn't man enough to resist temptation. He said he had allowed a vixen to engulf him in her perversion, and he had taken pleasure in it. As Val dropped to his knees, he said he had no one to blame but himself, and that he didn't deserve the Right to Censor's pity or forgiveness. Val then broke down and cried, saying he had made the biggest mistake of his life. He promised to cleanse himself of the immorality which had crept into his heart.

Steven asked everyone to forgive Val, saying he had just lost his way. He said the Right to Censor would indeed forgive Val. Steven and Val then embraced. As the five members of the group made their amends, Faarooq and Bradshaw ran to the ring and cleaned house! [wwf.com]

WebMaster's Note: Obviously after the WWF fired her,  the story writers decided that Val let the Kat go after having his way with her. She apparently ran off into the night and got lost forever?

03/02/01 Internet News/Rumors
Although the complete story is pretty much already told we went ahead and included all the news/rumors that Silver located during the week. Pretty much shows you how much conjecture can be made out of a situation and why a lot of "news" should remain in the "rumors" category.

We recommend that you be sure to read the "Official Story" directly from Jerry "The King" himself before believing a bunch of the stuff below - Click Here.

----- As we all saw last night on Raw is War The Kat was shown crying and whining about being with the RTC. Rumors going around are saying that The Kat will be a completely changed person by next weeks Raw. Expect her to act hypnotized. [Thomas Leydier]

----- Breaking News out of the WWF is that Stacy Carter also known as the Kat has been released by the WWF today. Under protest to the release of Stacy, Jerry the King Lawler has parted ways with the WWF as well. There is not further news on this at this time, but I will keep you updated as soon as something comes along. Jim Ross did state in his weekly Ross Report that several cuts were in the future for the WWF. It appears even though Lawler had some clout in the WWF that he could not protect the Kat from leaving the federation. [Keith Wilcutt]

----- Bob Ryder of 1wrestling.com has reported that the reason behind Kat (Stacy Carter) being released from WWF stemmed from a disagreement with management over the RTC angle. Both the Kat and Jerry Lawler were involved in an angle with RTC, as Lawler and APA teamed up last night on RAW to take on RTC. Apparently Lawler was not released, but left under protest after the Kat was released. There is still no word on how this will effect the WWF and their announcing team as well as the XFL. There is a good chance that Tazz could become Lawler's replacement. Let the speculation begin, but, it is odd that two of the WWF's established stars would leave under something so minor as a disagreement to a storyline. There is surely more going on that what has been released as of yet. It will also be interesting to see how the WWF explains to the fans where Lawler is and why he is no longer with the WWF. Lawler did not take part in the Smackdown Tapings. [Keith Wilcutt]

----- Expect Lawler to work in Memphis Championship Wrestling exclusively, unless the WWF grants him his release to go to WCW. Sources say that Kat was fired around 4PM before SmackDown! due to a dispute over her currently storylines. [Sam Husary]

----- On some updated topics concerning The Kat and Jerry Lawler's release from the World Wrestling Federation earlier tonight, it appears as though Jerry Lawler wasn't fired but walked out on protest due to Stacy Carter's (The Kat) release. Apparently she was released due to the Right to Censor angle as her and Lawler both had reasons not wanting to fulfill the angle. Although The Kat was given a release, I'm not 100% sure, but I would think the WWF could keep Lawler due to contractual obligations. There could be a clause in Lawler's contract that allows him to leave under certain circumstances, but again I am not quite sure on that. [Matt Boone]

----- Here is the official statement released by the webmaster of KingLawler.com Stacy was released by the WWF this afternoon. In protest, Jerry Lawler has also parted ways with the WWF. The release came as a total surprise without any provocation whatsoever. As for the speculation that was reported on other websites, there wasn't any disagreement involving an angle. Notes from the Webmaster - I talked to Jerry on the phone tonight. [Keith Wilcutt]

----- The World Wrestling Federation has released Stacy Carter (The Kat). In protest of his wife's release, Jerry "The King" Lawler has also quit the WWF. This afternoon, I was able to talk to Jerry on the phone and he told me that the reason for The Kat's release is still unknown to them. He also told me that he disagreed with what the WWF was doing to Stacy, so he thought they should part ways. Jerry told me that they had a business meeting to talk about what would happen on Thursday's Smackdown. The meeting broke around 2:00pm. Around 4:00pm the meeting commenced again. When they came back, Jim Ross told Jerry that they would have to release Stacy. Jerry told Ross and Vince that if Stacy goes, he goes as well. Jerry also told me that there was absolutely no incident or provocation of any kind that caused this turn of events. The reason for Stacy's release is still unknown to both Stacy and Jerry, however despite recent rumors Stacy's release did not have anything to do with he being unwilling to work with RTC. [Manny Viziotti]

----- As you know by now, Jerry "the King" Lawler has quit the World Wrestling Federation because he was not very happy about the release of his wife, The Kat (Stacy Carter), from the company. Lawler reportedly has two years left on his current deal with the World Wrestling Federation, so unless he works out a deal with the WWF, he will not be eligible to work for World Championship Wrestling. Lawler apparently wanted The Kat to have a full time role on WWF television, which was something he had been pushing for quite sometime. Lawler wanted to meet with WWF officials about the situation, but before that happened, Vince McMahon told Jim Ross to let Lawler know that the Kat was released. Several sources have stated that The Kat was not very well liked in the WWF locker room, which was part of the reason McMahon decided to release her. [Alex Bozich]

----- Stacy Carter (The Kat) complained and put on quite a fuss over her plans for No Way Out this past Sunday. Vince McMahon heard about the situation, and then people began coming up with stories about Kat TV time going to her head. Her backstage attitude was compared to that of Rena Mero's. While her conduct isn't being excused by anyone, in her defense the WWF did not give Kat any warnings. There was never any meetings held to warn Stacy about her behavior.

Kat had a huge role planned for the evening's Smackdown broadcast. But when Vince McMahon heard about her recent behavior, he was appalled and decided to pull the plug immediately. If some form of a warning about her backstage antics was given, it is possible that this entire situation could have been avoided. There are no indications from any sources that there was one overwhelming violation of policy or egregious action that required such hasty, sudden action. McMahon's actions do succeed in sending a message of "zero tolerance" for egotistical behavior and bad treatment toward production staff.

03/09/01 Internet News/Rumors
Jim Ross recently spoke out about Jerry "The King" Lawler and Stacy "Kat" Carter's departures from the WWF. "It was something that just kept accumulating," said Ross. "Maybe we can do business with her down the road. I'm not going to rule that out. But, right now, it was something Vince felt needed to be nipped in the bud. Giving the news to (Lawler) is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. He's my friend. Unfortunately, it's in my job description to do it." He went on to say that "Jerry is my friend and will continue to be," Ross said. "This is not a vendetta against him. I think there's a possibility for reconciliation and that we could do business after a period of time."

WWF personnel have stated that during the course of recent booking meetings, Lawler and Carter made suggestions that "made them look good but weren't in the best interest of everyone in the room". The situation was relayed to Vince McMahon and apparently on Tuesday, he had heard enough and ordered Carter's dismissal.

Kat was given her full release and is free to work anywhere effective immediately. Jerry Lawler had separate WWF and XFL contracts and must go through a number of legal procedures before he is free to work elsewhere. It is expected that the WWF will grant him his release after this paperwork is finished.

----- King and The Kat are already back on the indy circuit – invading Northeast Wrestling in April.

On Saturday April 28 at 7:30pm, Northeast Wrestling will present an exciting evening of live professional wrestling at the Torrington Armory in Torrington, CT. Headlining this event will be a match between two legendary figures in the world of professional wrestling, as Jerry "The King" Lawler takes on King Kong Bundy.

Also appearing will be former WWF Diva, Stacey Carter. Carter (known in the WWF as The Kat), "The King" and Northeast Wrestling have worked together on several occasions in the past, and this will be one of several select independent booking they have coming up. The presence of these three superstars as well as a collection of top independent talent will make for an exciting evening of live professional wrestling suitable for the entire family.

03/23/01 Internet Rumor/News
Jim Ross contacted Jerry "The King" Lawler last week to find out if there was any chance Lawler could return to the WWF. However, there appears to still be the large problem of Stacy Carter. Lawler will not come back unless she, too, is brought back, and there is a slim chance that the WWF will bring back the Kat. On an interesting note, the WWF is still paying Lawler, and is doing so on time as to not breach the contract. [Joe D'Ambrose]

----- On April 2nd the WWF will be releasing a Special Collector's Edition WWF "Divas 2001" Magazine. Although Lita is on the front cover, the magazine will feature all the Divas. Included in the magazine will be 1 set of trading cards, out of 3 possible sets.

The next day (April 3rd) they will release a "Divas In Hedonism" video that was shot in Jamaica. I did catch that there are two different video covers and advertisements for the video.  In the April 2001 issue of RAW Magazine, the add shows Chyna, The Kat, Trish, Terri, Jacqueline, Debra, Tori and Lita. But if you go over to the WWF Shopzone the cover/advertisement features all the Divas with the exception of The Kat. [OWOW Webmaster]

WebMaster's Note: Right now the WWF Shopzone has got a HOT "Divas Hedonism Package" that's a great deal! Get all 3 "Diva 2001" magazines ($5.99 each), the incredibly sultry "Divas In Hedonism" video ($14.95) AND a 3 month subscription to RAW magazine ($3.99 each) FOR ONLY $24.95! The whole package would retail for $44.89. If your interested you can just CLICK HERE, which will send you directly to the page at WWF Shopzone! It will help us with the costs of running this site and you'll get a great deal!

03/30/01 Internet News
According to Jerry Lawler himself, both he and the Kat received their official releases from the WWF in the mail last Wednesday. [Steven Carrier]

----- Jerry "The King" Lawler was a guest today on the Wrestling Observer Live audio show. The interview was outstanding and the following are the main area's spoken on during the sit down:

- Stated that he never contacted WCW as was reported. He didn't even know who he would talk to in regards to a WCW contract. If you remember, some rumors indicated that the firing was Vince's way of punishing Lawler for sending out 'feelers' to WCW, but Lawler refuted that.

- Said he sent Vince a letter which basically stated that he wished both he and Kat were back in the WWF. He said that if the Kat had an attitude problem, she would be willing to fix it and apologize to anyone she offended. He went to say that he thinks that the reason for the reason may have been Chyna. At one point Chyna and Kat were good friends, but later on when he got engaged to Kat and Chyna and Triple H broke up, the two ladies grew apart. Chyna even at one point asked the for the Kat to be removed from her angle with Eddie Guerrero. The letter went on to say that if Chyna had a problem with Kat in her angle, Kat would have been willing to wait and engage herself somewhere else.

- Thinks that maybe Kat wasn't the problem but it was him that they did not like. Perhaps NBC didn't like his XFL commentary or Vince simply wanted a change - he doesn't know. But he does know that others who have had "attitude problems" have been given at least one warning. He concluded the letter by saying that he will always consider Vince a friend.

- Came up with the angle for Kat to get involved with RTC. He stated that it may have been possible for someone (I assume Chyna) to feel as if Kat's involvement infringed upon the proposed women's title match between Ivory and Chyna. He said that before the Smackdown tapings where Kat was released, Chyna, Stephanie and Ivory were seen talking.

- The WWF choose to end their relationship with Memphis TV. Lawler states that at first things were okay, but then the WWF changed their mind and Kevin Dunn (the TV) guy explained to him that Vince McMahon didn't want the talent to be on the same show as Lawler after what he did to the WWF by giving out their phone numbers and email addresses.

- Thinks there will never be a union in the WWF.

- Not planning any lawsuits since he doesn't have anything to sue over. He says that some royalties are owed to them but that he doesn't expect any problems in settling that.

- His situation is different than Bret Hart's in that Hart walked into a lucrative contract with WCW while him and his wife were left with nothing to fall back on. [Matthew Boone]

----- Mojo asked Lawler what he thought about the critics who didn't think The Kat should be in wrestling in the first place. Lawler went on to talk about how the Kat had been in the business for over 10 years and Lawler never once asked for Stacy to be in the WWF, but the WWF came to her. [Paul Banker]

04/20/01 Internet News/Rumor
Jerry Lawler was on Sportsradio1510Am Milwaukee on Saturday morning. Lawler mentioned that nothing new has developed on the situation between him, Stacy and the WWF. Lawler however said that WWF officials have showed concern on what he puts on his website. Lawler also mentioned that he has stopped watching WWF television. [Matt Boone]

----- Chyna is rumored to have played a big part in getting The Kat fired. Nothing has been said officially if she actually did play a part, or what she did to get The Kat fired, but we can expect that sometime soon this will be revealed. [Justin Rowland]

----- Many rumors have swirled around concerning the dismissal of Stacy Carter, a.k.a. The Kat from the World Wrestling Federation, and Jerry Lawler's resignation from the company.

Supposedly while Chyna and Triple H were together, they were common travel buddies with Lawler and Stacy. Unfortunately, when Triple H and Chyna split, tension arose between both Chyna and the Kat. It is said that one time, Carter showed pictures of her kissing Chyna backstage, implying that both of them had been fooling around with each other. Chyna wasn't upset about that at the time, however Lawler thought that problems between the two divas contributed to Carter's release from the company. [Nathan Mayers]

------ Jerry Lawler continues to say that Chyna may have contributed directly and indirectly in getting Stacy "Kat" Carter fired. Apart from noting that Kat and Chyna had a strained relationship after Chyna and Triple H broke up, Lawler also alluded to Stacy making "advances" towards Triple H, which may have factored into the decision to let Kat go. Whether that is true or not, is open for debate but needless to say Lawler isn't all that shy about sharing Stacy as evidenced by the photos he posts on his website.

In an interesting note, at the time Carter was released, Vince McMahon was frustrated with contract negotiations with Chyna because she was asking for more money than he felt she deserved. Some speculate that perhaps Vince released Carter to send a message to her that no one is safe from a release. [Fred Cook]

08/03/01 Internet Rumors/News

Here's The Rumors:
It was recently found out that Jerry "The King" Lawler has been told by his wife Stacy Carter (The Kat) to cancel all her Indy dates. It is being speculated since Stacy was promptly fired from the WWF, she has no desire to wrestle anymore. [Amish Patel]

The cousin of Jerry Lawler, the Honky Tonk Man, posted on his official website that a rumor is going around which states that the King and his wife Stacy have split up. Honky added that apparently both had an argument over Lawler's WWF job which Lawler blamed her for the mess. The Kat is not accepting any more bookings right now and Honky says that she's off to their house in Florida. Honky closed his statement saying that, "Jim Ross had mentioned something about Lawler needing to get his personal life back in order," (before agreeing to something). Could Ross know something we don't? Take this as a rumor only, as Honky and Lawler have some bad blood and aren't exactly a perfect definition of the word family! [Wrestlingdotcom]

To update on this situation, Jerry Lawler informed close friends that he planned to address the recent rumors in an update on his website Monday (7/30) or Tuesday (7/31) morning. Lawler will give the answer on whether the rumor of his split with Kat is a fact. [Sam Husary]

-The Honky Tonk Man has updated his website with another Jerry Lawler update:

As the story goes, Stacy has since left the King and moved to their condo in Sanibel Island, Florida and changed the locks. And get this ... one of the Dupp brothers that was at one time on a WWF developmental deal and was working in Memphis is reportedly shacked up with her in Florida. More on this as it develops!

Jerry Lawler's new valet made her debut at  the Jersey All Pro Wrestling show. The valet, who is a brunette, is named Donna. When Lawler made his entrance, a "F*** Vince McMahon" chant broke out, Lawler simply grinned at the chant. [Amish Patel]

----- Jerry Lawler was on the Opie and Anthony radio show. He spoke about his relationships, or lack thereof, with both the WWF and Stacy "The Kat" Carter, his ex-wife. Lawler said he walked away from his $500,000/yr gig with the WWF to stand up for Carter and now realizes it was one of the worst decisions of his life. Kevin Smith (a/k/a Silent Bob of the Jay and Silent Bob fame) called in and said Lawler was insane to give up the half a mil for his wife to begin with. The King said he wasn't sure if he'd ever work in the WWF again. [Chokeslam Newsletter]

I was told that the "Kat" brought 4 Memphis Police officers with a search and seizure warrant to the King's house last Thursday (8/23) while Jerry Lawler was out of town. Stacy was there with the legal papers and law enforcement to re-claim her belongings. The court gave her permission to enter the premises and take clothing, jewelry, and money. [Fred Cook]

11/19/01 Monday Night Raw - The King Is Back!!
Mr. McMahon addressed the empty chair next to Jim Ross. To show he was a benevolent individual, Mr. McMahon asked Paul Heyman to come to the ring. The former ECW owner came out and took his usual place next to J.R. while screaming, "I got away with it!" Mr. McMahon asked Paul to come into the ring. Vince said he liked people who spoke their mind. He said that he was okay with what Paul said last week because he was a big advocate of the First Amendment. In an exercise of his rights, Vince got in Paul’s face and hissed, "You’re fired!"

The crowd erupted and Paul Heyman angrily demanded a fight right there. Mr. McMahon whipped off his sports coat, which caused Heyman to flee the ring. He made his way toward the announce table where J.R. began assaulting his former sidekick! As security removed Heyman from the building, Mr. McMahon introduced J.R.'s new announce partner: Jerry 'The King' Lawler!

The King made his way back to the familiar announce table to a deafening standing ovation. "It’s good to be the King, and the King is back!" Lawler said.

WebMaster's Note: So ends the this horror story.  We are SO glad that Jerry is back at the announcer's table where he belongs. I personally can't stand Paul Heyman.  It's kinda of ironic that the King goes to bat for his wife, and now he's back right where he belongs and no one has heard about her for months.

-Reports have recently suggested that Jerry "The King" Lawler's divorce with Stacy had taken a turn for the worse. However, Lawler stated otherwise, and had the following to say on the matter:

"There is no progress or movement whatsoever on the divorce. I mentioned the court order on a couple of radio shows just to avoid having to talk about the situation, but the truth is that the court order, which was issued when the divorce proceedings were initiated months ago, was just a formality that was to both of us."

-- Lawler also said the following on the settlement proposal between himself and Stacy:

"I am sending Stacy a settlement proposal today that she can look over and go from there. Stacy and I realize that we both want this over as soon as possible and that sometimes lawyers tend to drag things along for longer than you would like, so we are working on it ourselves."
