----- Lita's official website, AmyDumas.net has reported that Amy (Lita) and the Hardy Boyz are not going to be present on WWF television for around six weeks. The full reasoning for this surprising development is not known as of yet, however, to cut a long story short, Lita and the Hardy Boyz have been punished for apparently standing up for themselves. We will have more on this story as it is released. [Amish Patel]

"Hardys & Lita have been taken off TV, which was the reason for their total burial by Undertaker on the various shows this past week. There have been problems with Jeff of late, which came to a head when he missed San Jose on 12/8 (which explains Matt having to work total baby face against Test right after his his heel turn). He's also been late for a few shows, his performance hasn't been at nearly the level it used to be (that was bound to happen given all the crazy bumps from high heights he's taken over the years--those do shorten careers and it's unavoidable). Then the Matt vs. Jeff match at the PPV was a flop in the eyes of most, and after the Raw handicap match, Vince decided to kill the feud and Vince sat down with all three to explain the situation. Vince explained he was taking them off TV to give them a chance to breathe." (Amy says Vince told them he was giving them a break, but she knows it's a punishment).

"The plan is for them to be working house shows but not doing TV for a while, with no timetable set for their return. There is also the feeling as we've talked about several times, that there is a certain shelf life to acts. The Hardys act has been on the downside for the brothers ever since HHH ruined Jeff's upward mobility in how he treated him in that feud early in the year, and Lita, who still gets big pops, lost her edge big-time after the manipulation from Chyna. This is precisely the reason why pro wrestling historically has had territories, and why the lack of territories has in the long-run hurt everyone. Nobody has any idea what to do with them, because they got stale as a tag team, it was time for them to go to another territory (and they are hardly the only ones that fit that label) and there is nowhere for them to go. They did a great job building the turn, but the bottom line was, fans didn't want to see them fight each other. I don't know about the idea of spending so much time building Matt's turn, and then pulling the plug on it in two days. It probably wasn't going to succeed, and it isn't like some people there didn't know that going in so the decision to do it can be questioned. But if you are going to spend so much time doing it, at least let them go a few weeks and build to a climactic reconciliation (we've seen so many great ones in the past that do invigorate tired acts) as opposed to just plug pulling."

So the WWF will bring them back onto television in a approx six weeks, according to Amy, and hopefully they'll be given us a fresh new storyline to kick things off again. [Matthew Boone]

Jim Ross has stated in a telephone conference that the rumors of the Hardys and Lita being in the dog house have been blown out of proportion. "They're in good standing," Ross said. Ross admitted that Jeff Hardy has been late for work "a couple of times," but said "it wasn't a big deal." Ross said they were given some time off to recharge their batteries. ----- Former WWF Women's Champion Lita was on "Richard & Judy" in the UK. Ironically, the show is broadcast on Channel 4, the company that has been at the center of the Royal Rumble debate in the UK recently. Below are some highlights of the interview:

- Richard and Judy asked why Lita does not have any bruises. Lita responded by saying the body gets used to it over time, recently Trish Stratus has had to cope with bruises.

- Richard and Judy talked about Lita's tattoo. She said it took 8 hours to complete in several sittings. She also showed a tattoo she had done about 7 years ago on the inside of her lip which said "Punk".

- Richard and Judy asked about injuries, they said Lita had some vertebrae problems in the past.

- Lita was basically there to plug the Royal Rumble on Sky Box Office. She said it was the first time a WWF event has been aired live at 1am in this country which is basically false. It is the first time we have been made to pay for them.

- She said that after her promotional duties in the UK, she would be flying to Atlanta for the Royal Rumble. Whether she will appear at the event is a mystery.

- The show wrapped up with Richard and Judy talking about how Lita was in two video games and had an action figure produced in her likeness. Richard made a stupid comment about "Stone Cold Crab Hands". [William Gardner, Wrestlingdotcom]

Expect Rob Van Dam to employ the services of Lita upon her return to the WWF. [Amish Patel]

02/01/02 Internet Rumor
Over the past month, there has been a lot of controversy going around the Internet about the Hardy Boyz and Lita. The WWF claims that they were given some time off while many 'internet insiders' claim they were suspended for unprofessional conduct. We don't know what the 'true' story is, but the Hardys and Lita were brought back onto Television for the Royal Rumble.

The Hardys and Lita weren't used on Television on RAW or Smackdown!, but they were at the shows, ready to be used. The reason they weren't put on Television was because the creative team hasn't come up with a storyline for them, just yet. It is expected that they will return to Television, full time, as a tag team once the creative team writes them into the storylines. [Kevin Gregg]

02/15/02 Internet Rumor
It is apparent that the WWF's Lita has not been used on television for a long period of time, with her last appearance being at the Royal Rumble PPV. The reason for this is simply the fact that the WWF have been struggling to coordinate angles for Lita. Although this is the case, Lita is scheduled to make an appearance at No Way Out, and sources have also suggested that there will be a triple threat match at WrestleMania involving herself, Jazz and Trish Stratus. WebMaster's Note: Lita did appear with the Hardy's at the No Way Out PPV and had a minor skirmish with Stacy Keibler after she interfered in the match.

02/17/02 No Way Out PPV (The nWo Made Their Return At This PPV)
The first match of the evening featured the Tag Team Turmoil competition consisting of a total of 12 men. Two teams would face each other at one time with the winner of each match advancing in the tournament and the loser being eliminated. The team left standing will get a shot at the Tag Team Championship next month at WrestleMania!

Lance Storm along with Christian started things off against Albert and Scotty 2 Hotty. At one point, Scotty went to hit the Worm to finish of Christian, but Storm interfered and helped his partner pin Scotty!

Without delay, the Hardy Boyz rushed to the ring and dismantled Christian and Storm. With Lita coaching from ringside, Jeff dropped Lance with a Russian Leg Sweep while Matt pounded on Christian outside the ring. Soon after, Matt hit Storm with a Twist of Fate and Jeff followed with a Swanton Bomb and took the pin.

The Dudley Boyz with Stacy Keibler entered the fray next. The Hardys picked up right where they left off with Jeff nailing the Poetry in Motion on Bubba Ray. But the Dudleys stormed back, with D-Von earning a near fall on Jeff after a lateral press.  But the Hardys came back. Jeff dodged a flying elbow from Bubba Ray and tagged in Matt. Matt dropped Bubba Ray with a DDT and landed a leg drop onto D-Von. Matt was about to nail a Twist of Fate to finish off Bubba, but Stacy Keibler assaulted him! Lita raced in and took down the Duchess of Dudleyville until Bubba Ray came to her aid. When Bubba turned back to Matt, Lita climbed the top turnbuckle and hit him with a Litacanrana!

The high-flying continued with Jeff twirling a somersault plancha off the top turnbuckle to Bubba Ray outside the ring! Meanwhile, Matt rolled up D-Von and pinned him for Team Xtreme's second win! Afterward, though, the Dudley Boyz vented on Jeff by hitting him with a 3D onto the concrete floor surrounding the ring.

The exhausted Hardys were no match for Billy and Chuck, who came down to the ring next. Within a minute, Billy won the pinfall with the Fame-Ass-Er! [wwf.com]

02/18/02 Monday Night Raw
The Hardy Boyz made their return to RAW, accompanied by the lovely Lita, as they battled the tag team of Christian and Lance Storm. Jeff and Matt started off hot as they quickly hit a Poetry In Motion on Storm. The momentum shifted, however, as Christian hit a brutal gutbuster on Jeff. Christian hit a reverse DDT on Matt and went for the pin, but Matt kicked out, and the crybaby Christian started throwing a tantrum! On the outside, Lita took care of Storm with a Litacanrana, as Matt hit a Twist of Fate on Christian and Jeff finished their opponent off with a Swanton Bomb for the victory! [wwf.com]

02/21/02 Thursday Smackdown
In six-man tag team action, the Hardy Boyz, accompanied by Lita, teamed up with Rob Van Dam to take on the team of Lance Storm and the Dudley Boyz, who were accompanied to ringside with Stacy Keibler. Several minutes in the match, RVD started working over Storm, culminating his assault with a flying kick to Storm’s face from the top rope. RVD climbed to the top rope again to attempt his Five-Star Frog Splash on Storm, but Stacy ran into the ring and pushed him off the ropes and onto the concrete floor on the outside. Lita ran into the ring and was about to attack Stacy when D-Von hopped in the ring and pushed the red-haired diva away. Matt Hardy attacked D-Von and went for his Twist of Fate, but Bubba Ray interfered, and the Dudleyz teamed up to nail a 3-D on Matt! Bubba Ray went for the pin, but Jeff climbed the ropes and hit a Swanton Bomb on Bubba to break up the three count.

Storm entered the ring and landed a reverse thrust kick on Jeff’s jaw, but as soon as Lance turned around, Lita was there to greet him with a Litacanrana! With Storm laying in the middle of the ring, RVD climbed the ropes again and landed his Five-Star Frog Splash on the fallen superstar for the 1-2-3 win! [wwf.com]

02/25/02 Monday Night Raw
The first match of the evening put the Tag Team Championship on the line with Billy and Chuck defending against the Hardy Boyz, who were accompanied to the ring by Lita. The Hardys dropped Chuck early on with a double suplex, but Matt was thwarted on a Twist of Fate attempt and the champs took over. Chuck dominated Matt for several minutes, but Jeff tagged back in and cleaned house. Team Xtreme hooked up to nail the Poetry in Motion on Billy, but then their luck changed. Chuck knocked Jeff off the top rope when he went for a Swanton. Lita helped momentum shift again as she nailed Billy with a Litacanranna. But Chuck interfered and leveled Jeff with a superkick and Billy draped his arm over Jeff to successfully defend the titles! [wwf.com]

02/28/02 Thursday Smackdown
SmackDown! kicked off from the Fleet Center in Boston with the Hardy Boyz and Lita teaming up to take on the Dudley Boyz and Stacy Keibler, who limped her way to ringside with a brace on her right ankle. Before the match started, Jazz made her way out and got in the face of Lita. An injured Stacy stepped aside and "allowed" the Women’s Champion to take her place in the six-person tag team match. The boys from Dudleyville took it to Jeff Hardy, cutting off the ring and putting the boots to the master of the Swanton. Jeff finally tagged in Matt, but the Dudley Boyz continued their assault on the older Hardy. D-Von climbed the ropes to set up the Dudleyz’ "Wassup?!" spot, but Lita pushed him off and onto the canvas. Matt then hit Bubba Ray with a low blow and set him up for a dose of his own medicine! With Matt holding Bubba, Lita dove off the top turnbuckle head-first and hit her own version of the "Wassup?!" splash. Jazz ran into the ring and tried to take out Matt, but the older Hardy suplexed the Women’s Champ and allowed Lita to take over on the beating. Lita went for the Twist of Fate, but, while the ref’s back was turned, Stacy jumped into the ring and crushed Lita’s face with a brace-loaded spinning-heel kick! 03/04/02 Internet News - March 4, Smackdown! Tour Kuala Lumpur Result
Lita recieved a massive cheer during this match. Crowd was really into her. Molly didn't get boos but crowd was pretty quiet when she was on the offense. Molly tried her Xena elbow on the turnbuckle but missed. Lita finished here with the Litasault. Both shaked hands after the match. Lita is way over in Malaysia.  [rajahwwf.com]

03/07/02 Thursday Smackdown
In a battle of divas, Stacy Keibler took on Lita. Stacy attacked Lita with a spinning heel kick before the opening bell, but Lita kicked out of a pinfall attempt. Lita hit Stacy with a forward slam soon thereafter and picked up the victory.

After the bout, Lilian Garcia interviewed Lita and asked what her next goal was. Lita said that her next goal was to win the Women's Championship. As she spoke to Lilian, Stacy attacked her, but Lita recovered and hit Stacy with the Twist of Fate and a moonsault! But as Lita talked trash to Stacy, Jazz attacked Lita from behind and downed her with a DDT! [wwf.com]

03/11/02 Monday Night Raw
It was announced that the Women's Championship will be on the line at WrestleMania in Triple Threat Match -- Jazz will defend against both Lita and Trish Stratus!

In divas tag-team action, Lita and Trish Stratus took on Jazz and Stacy Keibler. Jazz and Stacy double-teamed Trish as the match began. J.R. announced during the bout that Lucy had a broken leg, and that Triple H was on his way back to the arena. Lita looked to have Stacy pinned with a slam, but Jazz broke it up. All four divas were soon in the ring, and Lita tossed Stacy to the outside. Lita and Trish double-teamed Jazz, but when Lita held Jazz, Trish went for a kick and accidentally hit Lita! 03/14/02 Thursday Smackdown
Lita was in her locker room when she was approached by Trish Stratus, who apologized for accidentally kicking her on RAW.  Lita said it was no problem, but there would be no accidents at WrestleMania when she walked out as Women's Champion. Trish said that she would be the one winning the Women's Championship -- and the two then got into a slapping match, which turned into an all-out brawl in the locker room! [wwf.com]

03/17/02 Wrestlemania 18 PPV
The Women's Championship Match was on the agenda with Jazz defending the title against Lita and Trish Stratus. All three ladies tumbled in the ring. Trish and Lita ganged up on the champ from the get-go. But Jazz is one tough cookie and she maintained control by putting Trish in a submission hold and giving Lita a big suplex.

Lita and Trish broke off their alliance before long. Trish mashed Lita's face into the mat with a bulldog. Having all three women on their own worked mostly in Jazz' favor. Lita and Trish exchanged heavy blows to the head while Jazz recovered some energy. Lita went for a Twist of Fate on Trish but instead ended up hitting the move on Jazz. She then took down Trish and followed with a Moonsault. But Trish lifted her knees to block the move!

Moments later, Trish went for a bulldog, but Lita threw Trish into the turnbuckle and out of the ring. Jazz then climbed the top turnbuckle and delivered a vicious superplex that allowed her to pin Lita and maintain the title! [wwf.com]  For Pics - Click Here.

03/18/02 Monday Night Raw
In divas action, Trish Stratus took on Lita. As Lita posed for the crowd, Trish pulled her down from the turnbuckle, and the fight was on! Trish choked Lita, but Lita suplexed her way out of it. J.R. announced during this bout that Jericho had left the arena. Lita hit a modified Litacanrana and went for the Twist of Fate, but Trish reversed and went for the Bulldog, which Lita reversed. Lita then nailed a moonsault for the win. After the bout, Jazz attacked Lita -- and Trish saved Lita! Lita and Trish double-teamed Jazz until Ivory ran down for the save! Later that evening Matt Hardy and Lita were kissing backstage when William Regal approached them. Regal said it was very enchanting to see two young people in love. Matt said Regal was just hot because he wasn't getting any. Regal said maybe they wouldn't be so happy after the draft; perhaps Matt would be picked by Vince and Jeff and Lita by Flair -- no more Hardys and no more Matt and Lita! In a divas tag match, Lita and Trish Stratus battled Ivory and Jazz, the Women's Champion. Trish -- a native of Canada -- soon hit Jazz with the Stratus-faction, and pinned the champion for the victory. [wwf.com]

03/28/02 Thursday Smackdown!
Lilian Garcia interviewed Matt Hardy and Lita, and congratulated both on ending up on RAW. Lita said it felt great to be Ric Flair's 10th draft pick, and it felt even better to know she was on the same side as Matt and Jeff. Matt said that last week was hard on him, and he was thrilled that Team Xtreme was together again on RAW. Suddenly, Chris Jericho walked over, and seemed sickened by Matt and Lita's romantic ways. Y2J said this was all about him, and that he was livid about being on SmackDown! -- he said he should be the Undisputed Champion and should be on both shows! Jericho said he was larger than life, and until he had the Undisputed Championship back around his waist, he would never be happy again. Matt said he could understand why Jericho was unhappy, since nobody wanted to be a has-been! As Matt and Lita walked away, Jericho attacked the two, and screamed that he was not a has-been!

In a match stemming from their earlier altercation, Chris Jericho took on Matt Hardy, who was accompanied to ringside by Lita. As Y2J went to work on Matt, Lita went up top and nailed Jericho with the Litacanrana! Jeff followed up with a front slam on Y2J for two. Moments later, Y2J went for the Walls of Jericho, and Lita got up on the apron. In trying to escape the hold, Matt kicked Jericho right into Lita, knocking her from the apron. Matt went for the Twist of Fate on Jericho, but Y2J hit a low blow, and then put Matt in the Walls of Jericho. Matt soon tapped out, giving the win to the former Undisputed Champion. Lita wasn't at RAW, and likely she won't be there next week, either. She is in Vancouver filming the season finale of Dark Angel in which apparently she will have a rather significant role, to include a "complex fight scene. [Ryan Clark]

----- Lita suffered a small stinger while on the set of Dark Angel this Saturday. She is improving by the day and will be alongside the Hardys this weekend at the Texas house shows. [Justin Rowland]

----- Apparently Lita's injury from the "Dark Angel" taping occurred when one of the show's stunt women dropped her on her head. As a result, Lita is unable to turn her head without severe pain which will cause the WWF diva to miss significant time out of the ring in the WWF, but will not haut her television appearances as seen on this past Monday's RAW. 04/15/02 Monday Night Raw
Coach interviewed Lita, asking how she felt after her recent neck injury. Lita said she felt OK. Coach showed footage of what Brock Lesnar did to the Hardy Boyz on RAW, and said Flair had announced that Brock would wrestle his first match this Sunday at Backlash against Matt Hardy. As Lita began to answer, she was approached by Paul Heyman, who told her to think about Backlash. Heyman then entered her locker room, and she screamed at him to get out. Paul grabbed one of her thongs, and said Brock might play nice with Matt at Backlash, or might play rough. Paul said the choice was hers, and all depended on how she wanted to play with him! Paul smiled, and Lita slapped the smile off his face! She told him to get out of her locker room, and Paul just laughed, asking if she liked to play rough. Paul said he liked to play rough too.

Next up, the Hardy Boyz -- accompanied by a very disturbed Lita -- took on Goldust and Booker T. The Hardys soon isolated Goldust, and Matt hit the Twist of Fate. Paul Heyman ran down the aisle to mock Lita, and Matt chased him away. Back in the ring, Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb, but Booker hit a huge kick, and Goldust pinned Jeff for the win. At the top of the ramp, Paul went through Lita's travel bag -- and all of her thongs. Matt walked up the ramp, only to have Brock Lesnar walk out. Matt went right after Brock, but Lesnar was simply too strong, and Brock gave Matt his finisher on the solid steel stage! Jeff chased Brock away with a steel chair as Lita looked on in shock. 04/21/02 Backlash PPV
Backstage, Paul Heyman tried to psych up Brock Lesnar. He said he wanted to see how rough he could play and to show the world that the next big thing is Brock Lesnar.

Jeff Hardy made his way to the ring with Lita. Brock jumped into the ring and promptly slugged Jeff Hardy. Jeff retaliated with a strike to the face and then hit Brock with a crossbody! But Brock regained his strength and hit Jeff with a belly to back suplex.  Brock inflicted tons of pain on Jeff with his brute strength. Jeff stayed in the game by taking Brock down with the Whisper in the Wind and following with a double leg drop onto Brock's midsection. With the monster on the ground, Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb but Brock threw him off like rag!

Frustrated, Jeff grabbed a steel chair but was disarmed upon reentering the ring. Brock picked Jeff up and whirled him into a spinning facebuster. Brock continued the annihilation until referee Teddy Long stopped the match after a crushing powerbomb! Lita could only stare angrily while Heyman and Lesnar celebrated in the ring before medical personnel attended to Jeff. [wwf.com]

Add Lita to the seriously injured list on the RAW roster along with Kane. The former Women's champion has been diagnosed with three cracks in the C6-C7 area of her vertebrae. Jim Ross said on WWF.COM that initial tests only showed a herniated disc but a CAT Scan yesterday morning revealed something worse. This week she will be going to San Antonio, TX., to visit Dr. Lloyd Youngblood - the same surgeon who performed risky operations on Austin, Benoit and Rhyno - for an evaluation. Lita got injured while taping 'Dark Angel' in Canada two weeks ago when a stunt women mistakenly dropped her on her head. Lita, real name Amy Dumas, was in obvious pain during the Backlash PPV match with Jeff Hardy and Lesnar and was caught several times on camera holding her neck. She's expected to be out for several months and if surgery is performed - which is likely - and it could take up to a year for the member of Team Xtreme to see action again. [Colin Vassallo]

By the way, I talked to Lita and she's doing great. She is one tough lady. I believe it was her fifth or sixth vertebrae that she broke in three places. "It really sucks." That's what the former Women's champion had to say Monday regarding her injury. Lita was at the company's NY restaurant The World to host the live RAW party yesterday, her first live appearance on WWE TV since her neck surgery. She said that the fans really helped her with letters, and certain people who had the same surgery also sent her letters. "I'm going to come back more bad-@ss than ever," she said while noting that doctors won't release her one day before the one year anniversary of her surgery - April 30th 2003. [Colin Vassallo]

Opening the show Eric Bischoff entered the ring with Lita. He proceeded to tell the audience about the lineup for the evening and then "which brings me to Lita."

Lita took the mic and said that "All I am saying is that maybe, if you had some respect for the people that work for your show and who risk their lives in the ring night after night, they might have some respect for you and that's my opinion. "

Eric shouted at her "I don't give a damn about your opinion! In fact, if you want to keep that announcers job you've got on Heat... you need to make good. I'm going to give you about three minutes, how's that?" Jamal, Rosey and Rico came out to the ring and surrounded Lita, which caused Jeff Hardy to storm the ring, attacking Rosey and Jamal while Rico bailed out. Jamal demolished Jeff with a super kick and then Rosey and Jamal cornered Lita. Booker T and Goldust hit the ring to save Lita and cleared the ring. [owow.com]

Lita debuts on MTV's HEAT this Sunday night and will continue to make a variety of appearances for the company while she heals from neck surgery. We hope to have her back in the ring in May of next year. [The Ross Report]

Lita had a positive meeting with neck surgeon Dr. Lloyd Youngblood this week and seems to be on target to return to the ring in May 2003. Lita has stepped up her workouts somewhat but still has not been cleared to jog or obviously take any "bumps" as of yet. [The Ross Report]
