Following Lita

Lita’s seven-year career came to an end at Survivor Series in Philadelphia. WWE.com followed her as she prepared for her final night in sports-entertainment.

2:47 p.m.

In a relaxed, but pensive mood, the Women’s Champion slipped into the arena and was later seen in the stands of the Wachovia Center. A contemplative Lita looked down upon the arena below, absorbing the weight of this historic night in her career.

3:50 p.m.

Scanning the ring as it was being constructed in the center of the Philly arena, Lita curtailed her observation of her imminent and near future to make an important phone call to her mother. The Women’s Champion called to confirm her mom’s plans to be in attendance at Survivor Series tonight for the final match of her daughter’s celebrated career.

6:05 p.m.

After spending some time in isolation, Lita left her introspective position in the empty Wachovia Center stands to grab some food in the arena’s catering area. Lita took her mind off her big night momentarily while sharing a few words with a few WWE Superstars.

7:13 p.m.

With less than an hour before Survivor Series goes live, Lita took a walk with an ever-loyal friend, her dog MacKenzie. Strolling throughout the arena corridors, the Women’s Champion and her pup also found time for a breather in the parking lot.

7:39 p.m.

Leaving MacKenzie and her Women’s Championship gold in her locker room, Lita dropped by the make-up table for one last time.

8:28 p.m.

Closing in on her final match – and final night – in sports-entertainment, Lita met with Edge in the locker room area for what could be the last time at a WWE event. Edge helped wrap the Women’s Championship around Lita’s waist then offered her some advice just moments before defending her gold.

9:06 p.m.

After losing her title and being embarrassed by Cryme Tyme, a defeated Lita retreated through the curtain sans championship gold and was met by an embrace from Edge. The two talked intimately and stood together for the last time in WWE.

9:45 p.m.

After watching her daughter from the live sold-out crowd in the Wachovia Center, Lita’s mother and her husband met with the former Women’s Champion backstage. Toting a sign in support of her now retired daughter, the two shared a long hug.
