Always being a very athletic person, Amy Christine Dumas says she became interested in wrestling after watching Rey Mysterio Jr. Born on April 14, 1975 in Ft. Lauderdale FL., this 5'7" 135lb. single lady states that she would someday like to have an 'action figure' made of herself.

With a background of judo and kickboxing, Angelica aka Miss Congeniality, launched her career in the spring of 1999. Appearing as Angelica at some ECW house shows, her first real exposure was at the Heat Wave PPV in July 1999. Shortly thereafter the 23 year old (1999) native of Florida entered The Funking Conservatory II wrestling school in Ocala FL before continuing her role as Danny Doring's valet.

She left the ECW in late 1999 and the rumors immediately began flying that she was going to appear in the WWF as a valet which she did in February 2000.  She made her WWF debut as Lita, the valet for the Light Heavyweight Champion Essa Rios.  She stayed with him for several months, which included a number of good battles against Chyna and Eddie Guerrero.  By the end of May she left Essa Rios after catching him hanging out with the Godfather and the Ho's.

Within a few weeks she became associated with The Hardy Boyz, and began furthering her own solo career.  Starting off by winning a Battle Royal match to decide the #1 contender to Stephanie Mac who was holding the title at that time, Lita went on to take the belt away from Steph within the next two months, and then retain it over 7 matches during the next two months before losing it to Ivory (after Edge & Christian attacked her) during a 4 Corners match that included Trish & Jacqueline.  To end her eventful first year in the WWF, Lita had to fend off a determined Dean Malenko, who wanted to have a relationship with the fiery red head.

2001 was not a successful year for Lita, at least regarding the Women's Championship as she challenged only 5 times during the whole year, facing the likes of Ivory, Chyna and Trish.  Unfortunately she was unable to capitalize on her chances to win the title back.  One of the highlights for her career did happen during the year as she became fully recognized as a WWF "Diva" when she was featured on the cover of the special collector's edition of the WWF's "Divas 2001" Magazine!

To end the year Lita became embroiled in the friction that was beginning to occur between Matt and Jeff Hardy.  The situation continued into 2002, until Lita was injured filming an episode of Dark Angel.  It was believed that she only suffered a "stinger" but within weeks it was discovered that her injury was much more severe.  Diagnosed with three cracks in the C6-C7 area of her vertebrae, she had to undergo surgery which has kept her out of action. Lita spent the rest of the year rehabilitating, while making appearances on Sunday Night Heat as a color commentator from October 2002.

Lita appeared on the April 21, 2003 episode of RAW, where she was ostensibly fired from her position as Sunday Night Heat color commentator by General Manager Eric Bischoff after she rejected his advances and his request that she follow in the footsteps of Torrie Wilson and pose for Playboy. She returned to the ring after an absence of seventeen months on the September 15, 2003 episode of RAW, saving Trish Stratus from a beating at the hands of Molly Holly and Gail Kim.

Lita competed in the women's division throughout early 2004, and was reunited with Matt Hardy on the April 19, 2004 episode of RAW when Hardy attacked Kane in an attempt to prevent him from harming Lita. In the following weeks, Kane began repeatedly assaulting Hardy and attempting to seduce Lita.

On the June 14, 2004 episode of RAW, Lita revealed that she was pregnant. One week later, it once again appeared that Hardy would propose to Lita. However, the proposal was interrupted by Kane, who claimed that he, not Hardy, was the father of Lita's child, as Lita had slept with Kane to persuade him to stop attacking Hardy. Two months later, it was revealed that Kane was in fact the father. Hardy and Kane feuded for several months, culminating in a "'Till Death do Us Part" match at SummerSlam 2004, with the stipulation that Lita would be obliged to marry Kane should Hardy lose. Kane won the match, leading to he and a reluctant Lita marrying one another on the August 23, 2004 episode of RAW. Despite being married to Kane, Lita harried him during his matches, constantly aiding his opponents. On the September 13, 2004 episode of RAW, Lita miscarried after Gene Snitsky struck Kane with a chair, resulting in him falling on Lita. The miscarriage led to Lita and Kane joining forces in order to take revenge upon Snitsky.

With the pregnancy angle over, Lita returned to the women's division in November 2004. She challenged Trish Stratus for the Women's Championship on several occasions, finally defeating her to begin her second reign as champion in the main event of the December 6, 2004 episode of RAW.

Lita's second reign as Women's Champion ended on January 9, 2005 at New Year's Revolution 2005, where she was defeated by Trish Stratus. In the course of the match, Lita suffered a legitimate injury, tearing her left anterior cruciate ligament.

Lita returned to WWE television in March 2005, while the relationship between Lita and Kane lasted until the May 16, 2005 episode of RAW, when Lita turned heel by betraying Kane, helping his opponent, Edge, defeat him in the finals of the WWE RAW Gold Rush Tournament. On the May 30, 2005 episode of RAW, Lita announced that she had filed for divorce, flushing her wedding ring down a toilet. She attempted to marry Edge on the June 20, 2005 episode of RAW, but the marriage ceremony was interrupted by a vengeful Kane, who emerged from beneath the ring.

The alignment of Lita with Edge had resulted from an off-screen series of events that saw Lita cheat on Matt Hardy, in reality her boyfriend of five years, with Edge, until then a close friend of Hardy's. Shortly after the event, Hardy was released from WWE. Knowledge of the situation was rapidly dispersed among fans, and audiences at WWE events began chanting for Matt Hardy. The situation was eventually acknowledged by WWE.

Lita won the Women's Championship belt twice in 2006 (her 3rd and 4th title reign). She won her 4th title during the Cyber Sunday PPV by beating Mickie James in a Lumber Jack match, after several weeks of elimination matches were deemed necessary when Trish Stratus retired/vacated the title. She defended against Mickie once again the next night on Raw, but stipulated that Mickie had to have her hands tied behind her back.

Finally 2 weeks later on Raw, Lita announced that she would wrestle one last time at the Survivor Series PPV, win the match, and retire undefeated. It was not to be, as Mickie James beat her to win her 2nd title belt.
