Madusa (Debra Miceli) aka Alundra Blayze has an extensive pro-wrestling record.  She obtained her first title - the AWA Women's title - in December 1987.

Madusa held the title till Nov. 1988, losing it to Wendi Richter. The impression of her reign convinced readers of "Pro-Wrestling Illustrated" to vote her Rookie of the Year, the first woman ever.

After losing the title, Madusa returned briefly to nursing. However, Japanese promoters expressed interest in signing her for a tour. Competing for All-Japan Women's Pro-wrestling she took a beating getting her nose broken 4 times. She captured the IWA World title, and at the end of 1990, she was voted All-Japan Inspirational Wrestler of the Year.

After her contract with All-Japan expired, she entered into  kickboxing and touring Thailand taking on the that countries top female athletes. While in Thailand, she also defended the IWA championship.

Entering the WWF she became Alundra Blayze and captured the women's title twice before eventually being fired by Vince McMahon in December of 1995.  She did a short stint in the WCW and then disappeared until 1999.

Rejoining the WCW as Gorgeous George's trainer according to the plot (Starla Saxton is/was really training George) it will be interesting to see what this savvy ring veteran has in mind this time around.

Madusa will be brought back on TV soon. She has been training WCW valets at  the Powerplant. Then that plan didn't work out so well, so WCW was paying her  for doing basically nothing. WCW is now looking for a story line to put her in. [The Wrestling Wire, Darnell M.]

Many WCW employees are extremely upset that Madusa was not one of the women fired. They believe that she was allowed to remain only because she is close with Bischoff and Kevin Nash. [Justin Rowland]

USHRA, a racing company, has released a DVD on former women's wrestler Madusa. It's a one hour look back at Madusa's life and her foray into the monster truck world. Approximately half hour is about her childhood and pro wrestling and the other half is about monster truck racing. There is some old footage of her from Japan and some clips from her last match at an independent show in 2001. For obvious reasons, there is no WWE or WCW footage. Nonetheless, it's still a good DVD and it was professionally done. WrestlingWire.net
