It's been quite a few years since WCW held a bikini contest; and the promotion has never boasted such beautiful (and dangerous) ladies. Not only does the contest promise daring suits and surprise contestants, but WCW is also working to secure members of Howard Stern's "whack pack" as celebrity judges for the event. The first annual Miss WCW bikini contest will be held next Monday at Nitro in Uniondale, New York. All of your favorite WCW female personalities will be competing wearing bikinis that defy description. Included contestants are: Baby (Nitro Girl), Chae (Nitro Girl), Chiquita (Nitro Girl), Daffney, Leia Meow, Madusa, Major Gunns, Midajah, Ms. Jones, Paisley, Pamela Paulshock, Stacy Keibler (Miss Hancock), Starr (Nitro Girl), Syren (Nitro Girl), Torrie Wilson and Tygress. 09/25/00 Monday Nitro - WCW Bikini Competition Winner -- Pamela Paulshock
Crackhead Bob, High Pitch Jerry, Beetlejuice, Fred the Elephant Boy and Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf came out as the official judges. Chae, of the Nitro Girls, came out first, followed by Nitro Girl Chiquita and Torrie Wilson. Removing each other's robes, Tygress and Paisley were up next. Leia Meow entered, with Major Gunns finally joining the contest. Gunns wore a red, white, and blue bikini; Canadian convert "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan came to the ring and told her to shut her mouth. He covered the Major up with the Canadian flag, eliminating her from the contest. Pamela, who was wearing a fur coat, said it was getting hot. She removed her coat, revealing an amazing bikini. Although she said she wasn't entered in the competition, all of the Wack Pack voted for Pamela, making her the unanimous winner. Leia Meow grabbed Pam by the hair and threatened to whip her. WebMaster's Note: Well there seems to be a bit of controversy over this event (See the Rumors below). I have to agree with the WCW officials in their assessment of the event. But part of that may have been because their 'standards and practices' seems to have dual standards. From a viewer's angle - "How come I can see Leia Meow's ass while she's using her riding crop between Pamela's breast's but I cannot get a close up of most of the women taking their robes off and showing me what I tuned in for? T&A!!!" Hey guys, that's what a Bikini Contest is for. I'm not sure whether the women just weren't into it or the promotion just didn't take the whole thing seriously. They pay the money to get Howard Stern's freaks as judges but then the girls and/or the promotion doesn't insure that every one looks like they really are into the event and having a good time? Come on. Of course if you read below this attitude might be in part to the supposed rumor that Pamela winning was 'fixed', but so what? It's not like this Contest is going to win you anything. Bottom Line - I'm not sure who we should blame for another non-event "event" (this makes two in a month - i.e. Hancock/Flair wedding), the women or the promotion but it was disappointing. Even so OWOW has supplied you with a number of pics (90) from the event.

WCW officials were disappointed with Nitro's bikini contest. Besides Torrie Wilson, none of the girls acted like it was bikini contest. Torrie played the crowd as she was supposed to. Pamela wasn't even wearing an actual bikini, if you noticed. [Chris Goldsmith]
There has been a little controversy over the scheduled Bikini Contest tonight on Nitro. Paula Paulshock who is a bikini contest regular refused to take place in this upcoming contest unless she was guaranteed the win. Bikini contests are usually fixed just like wrestling and the contracted woman always end up winning the contest. Apparently WCW women are not to happy with losing to an outsider. [Jimmy Van]
Pamela Paulshock refused to participate in the Nitro Bikini Contest unless she was promised the win. Instead of telling her to hit the bricks, they bowed down to her and agreed. The other girls were understandably upset with having to go out there and lose a worked contest to a girl who never even stripped down to her bikini bottoms. Pamela Paulshock will have a big role in World Championship Wrestling’s Thunder show when it adopts a magazine style, more comparable to the World Wrestling Federation’s Sunday Night Heat than Monday Nitro. [Aidan Coughlan] WebMaster's Note: I wouldn't put too much stock in this rumor since it's still up in the air whether the WWF or Eric Bischoff and Mandalay will be the new owners of the WCW. With everything up in the air I doubt whether there is any real plans yet for actual programming.

Pamela Paulshock's position in WCW appears to be tenuous. [Dafydd Denatale] Pamela Paulshock might be let go soon, since a new interviewer, who debuted Monday night but wasn't on TV, but did tape some stuff for Thunder, has appeared. Apparently, this new interviewer was the former singer of band called "Dixies". [Alex Bozich] Several rumors have been circulating around the Internet concerning the release of WCW interviewer, Pamela Paulshock. Dan Lovranski of liveaudiowrestling.com reports that Paulshock could be the next to go after Bobby "The Brain" Heenan since WCW debuted a new interviewer last night. Apparently, the new interviewer is a former singer for a band called the "Dixies", the new employee was not on Nitro but did tape a few segments for this week’s Thunder. [Mitch Newton] WebMaster's Note: In case you didn't notice Pamela was in the ring during Thunder, apparently I would assume, as the match announcer, similar to Lilian Garcia's role in the WWF. Also notice that all these rumors contradict the rumor from 10/27/00.

Expect WCW to lose more of its male fan base since Pamela Paulshock and Stacy Keibler have been officially terminated from WCW. Pamela Paulshock was not under contract with WCW simply because she had refused to sign a contract for personal reasons. This made it much easier for WCW to release her without having to go through the complete litigation process like they have before. WCW has also rid themselves of Miss Hancock after she had demanded a pay raise. Miss Hancock began with WCW as a Nitro Girl and eventually moved into a character role, but she was still getting paid about the same amount of money. Miss Hancock was trying to negotiate with WCW, but WCW did not respond with what she wanted. Another former WCW woman, Torrie Wilson, was terminated late last year when WCW had asked her to take a 50% pay decrease. Torrie did not take the deal and left WCW with a possible future return. [Michael Payton] One of the World Championship Wrestling beautiful divas, Pamela Paulshock has apparently been released from the company. The reasons at this time for the release are currently unknown. Rest assure we will have you updated as the days go by, whether Paulshock has interest in the WWF, or the WWF has interest in her is unknown at the moment. [Mitch Newton] WebMaster's Note: I always love how these reports always assume that if someone is leaving or fired by the WCW, that they are automatically going to contact, or are going to be contacted by the WWF. According to the rumors in the last month the WWF would be picking up Torrie Wilson, Stacy Keibler (Ms. Hancock) and Pamela Paulshock? Where the hell would they put them? They've already got more talented women that they know what to do with.

WCW fans brace yourselves for bad news. Pamela Paulshock was contacted by WCW management a few days ago and was told the company would like to extend her current contract. According to various sources Pam declined the offer stating, "From now on, the only wrestling company I'll ever work for is the WWF!" And the sensational news has put the WWF on red alert. Jim Ross stated in his most recent online commentary, "Additional roster changes are expected in the next few weeks with some leaving the company while others will be joining the Federation." Both the Road Dogg and Mideon were released last week while former ECW world champion Justin Credible has jumped ship to sign a three year deal. It is unconfirmed as of right now if Paulshock will indeed head to the WWF, however, you can expect the WWF to go after her. [Steve Carrier] As reported earlier, Pamela Paulshock was released by WCW when they were making some financial cutbacks. However soon after her release, WCW offered her a new contract (at a much lower pay). Paulshock did not accept the offer, because she is looking to see if the WWF is interested in her services. She has sent feelers to WWF management to see if there is interest, and apparently she found there was. She is scheduled to meet with Jim Ross about a possible role. If she is willing to take bumps and learn to become a wrestler, the WWF's interest would most likely raise as they want all their women to have a good work ethic and at least know how to bump. With all the talk of Pamela Paulshock jumping to the World Wrestling Federation, there has been some speculation on the subject. Pamela most likely won't take bumps and will not wrestle, so most likely the WWF will not offer her as much as WCW could or would. That could affect her decision to jump federations. If you think about it, the World Wrestling Federation would probably be more interested in ECW valets, as they would be more willing to bare their assets if asked to, as well as take bumps. Pamela refused to even participate in the bikini contest on Nitro a while ago and when asked to wear a bikini she refused and said she would only participate if she didn't have to wear a bikini and if she won hands down. Pamela Paulshock (real name) was born on Jan. 5 197? in Baltimore Maryland. She attended Syracuse University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual And Performing Arts. While in college she worked weekends modeling at car shows and calendar shoots. She even won the “Bikini Open 2" on Pay-Per-View, where viewers across the country voted for their favorite swimsuit contestant. 
In the spring of 2000 she appeared in the WCW as one of the nWo girls for about 3 months, until the demise of the nWo. Before leaving WCW, she was asked if she wanted to continue with the company, but informed them she was looking for something else that might further her acting career. WCW officials called a while later to inform her that they indeed did have something else to offer, and she became an interviewer for the company. "I came into this cold turkey, and it was intimidating at first... Everyone has been very helpful and willing to help me out."
