/05/01 Internet Rumor Rena Mero (formerly Sable) has apparently landed a co-starring role in a major motion picture entitled "Corky Bonono." The movie stars Saturday Night Live star Chris Kattan, Richard Roundtree, Peter Berg, and Peter Falk. The movie is set to be released sometime during the spring in 2001. [Michael Payton]
/19/01 Internet Rumor/News Here is a tidbit nobody is picking up on, did you know Rena Mero is involved with Fusient Media Ventures? What's that? Rena Mero involved with WCW's new parent company? Yes! Rena Mero's official web site is hosted and run by a company called TheThreshold.com, an internet entertainment company that is geared towards guys featuring "ThresholdBabes" and original flash produced internet shows geared towards (conveniently) the same type of demographics as World Championship Wrestling. Who is the main investor in TheThreshold.com? You guessed it... Fusient Media Ventures. While this obviously does not guarantee a run in WCW by Rena Mero, it is a well known fact she has faded from the spotlight and would love to return to her "glory years" as a wrestling diva... and with her web host in cahoots with WCW's new ownership... we just might see Rena Mero involved in the new WCW once her no-compete with the World Wrestling Federation expires. [Mitch Newton]
/09/01 Internet Rumor/News Many are beginning to believe that Rena Mero will be involved with World Championship Wrestling in some way, shape, or form, due to the fact that her official website is hosted by Fusient Media Ventures, the majority owners of World Championship Wrestling. Something very important to point out here, due to the stipulations in her World Wrestling Federation contract, Rena will not be eligible to appear as an employee of WCW until June 30th, 2001. [Jason Hamil] Rena Mero is featured on the cover of the February/March issue of Controversy magazine that can be found at newsstands now. The former WWF beauty is shown in a sexy pictorial display and also sat down for an interview with the magazine. [Aaron Dias]
/30/01 Internet Rumor Rena Mero's comment on the sale of WCW: For the business, I don't think it's a good business move because I think you need competition. I think you put on your best programming and everyone gives it your all when you have competition. When you're the only game in town and you run the monopoly of the wrestling business, maybe you won't try as hard to put on the best show. [Fred Cook] WebMaster's Note: It also means the the chances of Rena Mero returning to professional wrestling have now shrunk considerably.
/20/01 Internet Rumor Chat Transcript From VinceRusso.org Web Site - Reported By Michael Payton April 17th "Was Rena Mero aka Sable hard to work with in the WWF and do you think she will return to the WWF?" VinceRusso: "Nobody worked closer with Rena than I did, and I can tell you right now - screw all the rumors that you hear - she was NEVER a problem to work with. The problem was is that she was a female star in a man's world - and that just didn't sit well with a lot of people." WebMaster's Note: Mmmm... Let's see. Does Vince Russo maybe talk out both sides of his mouth. Read the article from the September 1999 issue of Raw Magazine where he had a bunch of unkind things to say about Rena Mero. Click Here.
