WCW has released five of their top women performers. Those who are said to be gone are Daffney, Paisley, Leia Meow, Major Gunns, and Tygress. Sources within the other two companies (WWF and ECW) have reported that at least two of the women have reportedly called them asking for work.

Eric Bischoff didn't like the profanity and all the women on WCW shows and it was expected that when Fusient Media and Bischoff took over the company, women, etc would be scaled back. Women were given prominent roles under Russo's rule as head of the creative team in WCW. It now appears that the expanded roles of women are WCW are gone. [Nick Moore]

WebMaster's Note: Oh goody. Two of the main reasons I watch (Daffney & the delectable Major Gunns) are going to be gone?  Great, I can get Dustin and Dusty Rhoades instead I suppose.  Their appearance Monday makes me think that we're going to slide backwards in time with the WCW once again.

The Federation is negotiating with Sharmell Sullivan, formerly known as Paisley in WCW, and if she signs she will be sent to OVW to train with Victoria and other developmental talents. [The Ross Report]

Former WCW star - Paisley - also known as Storm (Nitro Girls) has signed a contract with the World Wrestling Federation. She is expected to be involved in the new "WCW" when the Alliance angle is done with. [Ray Kim]

----- Torrie Wilson playing up to be infatuated with Tajiri is obviously a scheme to help the Alliance gain pull with a friend of the WWF commissioner. However, with Debra attacking Stacy Keibler on SmackDown, and Torrie showing interest in a WWFer, we could see the blonde duo part from the Alliance. Currently, Debra, Stephanie McMahon, Terri Runnels, Ivory, and the recently signed former Nitro Girl "Paisley" consist of the female persuasion of the Alliance. This could be a sign of the Alliance slimming down the list of ladies, or could be a mere swerve. [Matthew Boone]

Sharmell Sullivan, aka Paisley, has apparently been sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling, and is expected to get a complete name and gimmick change both there and when she debuts in the WWF. Jim Cornette and other members of management are said to "hate" the name. [John Banchansky]

The WWF is getting hit by a series of serious injuries lately. This time, Sharmell Sullivan, former WCW Nitro Girl and lately backstage interviewer on WWF TV, tore up her ACL on Friday and her shelf time is between four to six months reports WWF.COM. The injury happened when she was training at OVW. Surgery is tentatively set for Thursday in Birmingham, AL., with Dr James Andrews doing the work. He's the same surgeon who performed operations on Triple H, Kevin Nash, Mike Awesome and others. [Colin Vassallo]
