Hailing from Baltimore Maryland, Stacy worked as a model and actress as well as a physical therapist technician. Dancing since she was 3, with a background in ballet, tap and jazz, she was also one of the first Baltimore Ravens cheerleaders, working in that organization for 2 years. Stacy was also a full-time college student, pulling in near-perfect grades in Mass Communications at Towson University, in her hometown of Baltimore. Upon entering the WCW she had an identity crisis for a while. As a Nitro girl her name changed from Sky to Skye. Unfortunately for her the times were a-changin' in the WCW (Nitro Girls were feuding left and right) but luckily for us the 'Powers To Be' (Vince Russo/Eric Bischoff) recognized her potential and set her out on her own. They expanded her role and she began appearing as Miss Handcock - a secretary for the tag team of Lenny Lane and Lodi dubbed "Standards and Practices". with her clipboard, taking notes on the matches. Despite wearing business suits, her character was known to climb on top of the announcers' table and dance sensually. It was also during this period that she began using what would become her trademark ring entrance: slowly putting her forty-two inch legs through the second tier of ropes, pausing to let the crowd momentarily see her panties. A few weeks later her name was changed to Ms. Hancock (apparently Turner/Life's own Standards & Practices Dept. had a problem with the former handle).
After the WCW folded it looked like we might never see the long-legged beauty again but the WWF was apparently high on her too. On June 14, 2001 she appeared during a Smackdown show - using her real name of Stacy Keibler - on the arm of none other than the new owner of the WCW - Shane McMahon. She then became the main sidekick of Torrie Wilson (previously with WCW also) and even performed in matches that showed that she was not only a looker but that she had athletic abilities as well. In 2006 Stacy appeared on the hit show Dancing with the Stars, where she ended up placing third. In April 2006, Vegas Magazine reported that Stacy Keibler was done with WWE and moving on to other endeavors. Keibler posted a message on her official website saying that her WWE contract expired on July 21, 2006, and she went on to sign a contract with Touchstone Television, which is owned by Disney. As the Fitness Editor at Stuff magazine during 2005 and 2006, Keibler wrote and modeled for her own occasional column, entitled Getting Fit with Stacy Keibler. She has appeared on the cover of that magazine twice: in June 2005 and March 2006. Maxim named Keibler #5 in its 2006 Hot 100 issue, and #70 in its 2007 Hot 100. Keibler has declined each of two invitations from Playboy to pose in the nude for its magazine.
In February 2007, Keibler began a recurring role in ABC's What About Brian. She played the role of Brian's new neighbor and love interest. This was Keibler's first major acting role, following her previous minor roles in both Bubble Boy and Pecker. She also guest starred on The George Lopez Show on ABC. In the fall of 2007, Keibler appeared in both The Comebacks and on ABC's drama October Road. In April 2008, she was named #64 in FHM's annual 100 Sexiest Women list. Keibler was featured in an advertisement in the 2008 SI Swimsuit issue. Keibler appeared on ABC Family's mini television series, Samurai Girl as the character Karen in September 2008. |
