WWE.com received the following information from the office of Jim Ross, WWE’s Executive Vice President for Talent Relations:
Terri Runnels and WWE have mutually agreed to terms to part ways. Terri has been a great member of our team for almost seven years, and we wish her the best and would enjoy working with her again if the situation presents itself.

WebMaster's Note: Sure would like to know who's fault this was.  Did Terri want to just be a part time announcer, or did the WWE decide they would rather push newer/younger women, who could also wrestle.  OWOW is saddened by this news, as Terri was one of the top notch "ladies" involved on pro wrestling. I'll keep you posted on any news regarding her future.

04/09/04 Internet Rumor
Terri Runnels apparently contacted WWE and asked to be released from her contract for the time being. Several people backstage say Terri is one of those people who 'has a job for life' within WWE. She is very well liked and it was her decision to leave. Sean O'Haire was released because WWE management told him he was, not because he wanted out. [WrestlingWire.net]

----- TNA has also expressed interest in using Terri Runnels and Sean O’Haire, who have recently parted ways with WWE. Runnels may not have any interest in signing as she may still have a place back in WWE for more money. As for O’Haire, he will get severance pay from WWE and will not be working for the next 90 days. 05/07/04 Internet News
The Voice of Wrestling radio show, www.voiceofwrestling.com, had a big show this past Sunday with special guest, Terri Runnels. Terri was scheduled for the week before, but the hosts had called her twenty minutes late due to a couple segments going a little longer than expected and unfortunately, Terri had prior commitments at that time and was unable to do the interview. She agreed to come back on this week’s program, but not without ragging on hosts Chris Chisum and Brandon Clark for their tardiness the week before.

Here are the highlights:

- Chris Chisum got the rough end of the badgering by Terri as she tells him he doesn’t know how to treat a woman like Brandon does.

- She’s not able to speak much about leaving the WWE due to contract constraints, but she did confirm she left on good terms.

- Sorry... Terri’s not jumping to TNA. She kills any speculation on that subject claiming she loves Jeff Jarrett and many of the guys working there, but it’s not in the cards.

- There is a possibility she may be starting a reality television show based on dating that is similar to the advice column, "Raw Sex", she used to write for Raw magazine. If all goes well, the name Terri has planned for the show is "Making it with a Diva".

- As far as the "Plane Flight from Hell" is concerned, Terri says the only embarrassing moment she recalls is Dustin Runnels (formerly WWE’s Goldust) singing love songs to her over the loud speaker.

- Terri’s "old school" mentality shows more as she rants about the internet and how it has hurt the business. Shame on those people who open their mouths and shouldn’t. If it was more like the entertainment business where journalists and critics reported more on the real-life things that the wrestlers did outside of wrestling, it would be okay, but why fans would want to know spoilers and what happened before shows air is what she doesn’t understand.

- She never felt more pressured as a woman to do things with the WWE compared to the men in the business because she felt it was best on her part to do what the boss asked of her, even if she didn’t necessarily agree with it.

- When talks switched to her daughter, Dakota, Terri expressed her feelings on Dakota following in her footsteps and becoming a wrestling diva. Her initial response would probably be "Oh, my dear God, no", but if Dakota ever came to her and said it was a dream of hers to be in wrestling, Terri would of course support her. Right now, Dakota is going the equestrian route as she show jumps horses and Terri hopes she stays with that! [VoiceOfWrestling.com, Rajah.com]
