01/04/08 Friday SmackDown! - Richmond, Virginia - Chuck Palumbo/Michelle McCool vs. Kenny Dykstra/Victoria
The girls tagged in after the guys traded flurries of offense. Michelle back-flipped out of a wrist-lock, but got thrown shoulder-first into the post. Kenny shouted “break it” as Victoria worked on Michelle’s left arm. Over-head belly-to-belly by Chuck after the men came in. Chuck missed a running kick and Kenny hit a neck-breaker for two. Palumbo suplexed Kenny off the top. In a mis-timed spot, Michelle hit a flying bodypress onto Victoria, who came in too early and had to stall as Michelle reached the top rope. In the end, Dykstra distracted McCool long enough for Victoria to hit the Widow’s Peak for the pin. After the match, Chuck threw a tantrum in the ring and left on his bike without Michelle. 01/29/08 Tuesday ECW On SciFi - Reading, PA - Kelly Kelly vs. Victoria
Victoria and Kelly had a shoving match to start things off, with Victoria winning that early exchange. Layla and Lena then stormed the ringside area with scowls on their face. Kelly suddenly snapped off a back flip into an arm drag take over that looked pretty good. Victoria wasn't impressed, though, and whipped Kelly down to the mat with a handful of hair. Kelly came back with a spinning head scissors before landing a series of flying clotheslines. She then jumped onto Victoria's shoulders for a crisp huracanrana. Victoria quickly answered with a kick to the gut before nailing the Widow's Peak for the win.
Afterward, Layla and Lena clapped it up for Victoria, who motioned that was easy. Layla then went into the ring and picked up Kelly. She kinda tossed her down to the ring. That was the worst spot of the segment after a good showing in the ring. The Mean Girls stood tall in the ring while Kelly remained KO'ed on the mat.
Winner: Victoria in 3:00. If you went into the match with low expectations, then you walk away impressed with the action. Kelly had some good-looking moves in this one, so kudos for showing improvement. The storyline has some room to grow, with Victoria hopefully finding a spot on TV. She's too valuable to not be used on TV. PWtorch.com
02/04/08 Monday Night Raw - Austin, TX - Kelly Kelly/Mickie James vs, Victoria/Beth Phoenix
Lawler was speechless during Kelly's spirited ring intro, finally uttering, "Mannn!" We got some fresh camera angles this week of the new entrance stage, too, so they're having fun with the new set and new look as the weeks progress. Mickie got in a flurry of offense against Victoria, but when she went to the top rope, Phoenix shook the top rope and Mickie landed awkwardly on her left leg. She clutched her knee. Phoenix scored a near fall right away. Mickie surprised Phoenix with a guillotine for a few seconds, but Phoenix escaped and tagged in Victoria. The way the women sell, everything seems real because things look less-than-smooth most of the time where it looks as if someone could have been hurt. Anyway, Mickie quickly finished Victoria with a DDT. Mickie signaled she wanted a Women's Title shot after that win. PWtorch.com
02/05/08 Tuesday ECW On SciFi - Corpus Christi, TX - Victoria/Layla(w/Lena) vs. Kelly Kelly/Michelle McCool
Tazz made an astute observation that it's the blondes vs. brunettes. Team Blondes started things off on the offensive, working over Layla. Kelly hit an OK cartwheel before tagging out to Michelle. After some more tags, Lena tripped Kelly from the outside. Victoria took advantage by nailing the Widow's Peak on Kelly for the pin and the win. PWtorch.com
02/15/08 Friday SmackDown! - Houston, TX - Michelle McCool vs. Victoria
Victoria looks good with her short haircut. Before the match began, Chuck Palumbo rode his hog to the ring. Victoria choked Michelle in the corner as Chuck continued to rev his bike throughout the match. Superplex by Michelle was blocked and the two slugged it out on top. They ended up tumbling to the outside. Michelle went on offense but got distracted by Chuck, allowing Victoria to hit the Widow’s Peak.
After the match, Palumbo entered the ring, stepped on her arm to hold her down, then talked down at her saying he told her he was going to beat up her boyfriend and make her watch. He stepped on her hair and continued to trash talk her and told her to get used to his new attitude toward her. PWtorch.com
03/07/08 Friday SmackDown! - Cleveland, OH
Coach was in the ring to MC a diva contest. Eve Torres came out first. She was followed by Cherry, sans roller-skates. Maryse, Victoria and Michelle McCool. Michelle wore a LeBron James jersey, which should immediately disqualify her- sucking up to the crowd when they’re deciding who wins is just not fair. According to Coach, one diva will be eliminated each week and the winner will not only get bragging rights, but a custom made motorcycle. A brief video showed the guy they’re getting the cycle from. Fans at home can play as well, texting their favorite divas name. Eve did some dancing, then took off her robe. Cherry followed, and she was a bit hesitant at first. Maryse went next, then Victoria, who had trouble getting her top off, then fell off the middle rope as she was posing. Michelle finished things off. Tough decision here. Coach said if it was up to him, they’d all be winners. The first elimination will be made next week. Maryse began pushing Eve around until Michelle slapped her. Maryse pulled Eve out of the ring and continued bullying her as Michelle and Victoria went toe-to-toe in the ring. Michelle ended up kicking her out. As if we already didn’t know they wanted us to vote for Michelle.... PWtorch.com
03/14/08 Friday SmackDown! - Chicago, IL - SmackDown Diva Contest
Maria walked out onto the stage. She for some reason was impersonating Christy Hemme. She did a shout-out to Chicago twice, noting it was her hometown. She said she's excited to be in the first Bunny Mania Lumberjack match at WrestleMania 24. She said she would be hosting the Smackdown Diva Contest tonight. Out onto the stage came Eve Torres, Cherry, Maryse, Victoria, and Michelle McCool. Maria said unfortunately the diva with the fewest votes must be eliminated this week. Maryse was the surprise loser this week. My money was on Victoria. Coach said he thought she'd be one of the favorites. Maria then invited the women to move down the stage to begin an obstacle course. They had to cross balance beam, run through tires in the ring, and then hop in a potato sack as their respective entrance music played. They also had to balance a treat on their nose. Maria is not nearly as entertaining when being a deep-voiced, loud, confident MC compared to her bashful, ditzy, charming alter-ego. PWtorch.com
03/17/08 Monday Night Raw - Lafayette, LA - Maria & Candice Michelle vs. Jillian Hall & Victoria
Ringside: Jerry Lawler brought in Jared from Subway to talk business. He presented a fresh sandwich to Lawler with a nice drink. Jared said he lost 245 pounds and he's had it off for 10 years. He said it was great doing the commercial with John Cena last year. Lawler said Jared will love the next match.
In-ring: Maria and Candice came to the ring, then Maria's Playboy cover dropped from the ceiling. They have somewhat matching outfits. Jillian and Victoria came out as the opposition. Victoria pretended like she was gagging at Maria's cover. Before the match could start, Santino Marella walked out and thanked the crowd for their support of boos. He approached the announce table for some additional commentary.
Lawler said he's going to enjoy the match and his Subway sandwich. Santino said that's a good idea because Lawler is looking a little chunky lately. The Mean Girls divas cornered Maria in their corner, but Maria blocked a moonsault from Victoria by getting her knees up. Candice then took the hot tag and cleaned house until Victoria dropped her in the corner. Lawler kept asking Santino about the Playboy, but Santino cut him off. Candice then dropped Jillian with the Unprettier for the pin and the win. Santino cut a promo on the divas, then he grabbed Lawler's drink and threw it at him. Santino shoved Lawler down to the floor, then he grabbed Lawler's sandwich and ran away with it. He took a big bite out of the sandwich, then Victoria took a bite. Maria said they're all nuts. 03/21/08 Friday SmackDown! - Biloxi, MS - SmackDown Diva Contest
Cherry, who did not accompany her men to the ring, was getting done-up backstage for the diva contest. Maryse interrupted and acted like quite the sore loser, complaining that the contest was fixed. She said Cherry wasn’t a diva; she was a dog. Ouch.
Theodore Long was in the ring, and he was hosting the diva competition this week. Teddy introduced the competitors still alive in the contest. Tonight, it’s an arm-wrestling contest. Yeesh, this is too much like the Diva Serach for my tastes. I can only sit through that once a year, and barely. Victoria faced off with Eve first. Victoria trash talked during the match. As Victoria was about to lose, she blew in Eve’s face, distracting her and getting Victoria the “W.” Next was Cherry vs. Michelle. Victoria was audibly cheering for Cherry, but Michelle won fairly. That means Victoria vs. Michelle in the finals. Michelle beat her and won the contest. Now, to find out who got eliminated. Shouldn’t they do that before this week’s competition? And.......Victoria is gone. She attacked McCool, but Michelle ended up on top until the other two divas restrained them. Michelle got one final shot in on Victoria. PWtorch.com
03/28/08 Friday SmackDown! - Fayetteville, NC - Victoria/Maryse vs. Michelle McCool/Cherry - Wrestlemania Wet-and-Wild Water Fight
Eve Torres is your guest referee. Victoria was sporting flippers, floaties and a snorkel. Only way to win is by pinfall here, though Cole also said submission. We had buckets of water balloons and water guns. Maryse did some posing for the fans, and got the bucket of water dumped on her. Victoria slipped on some water and Michelle got two on the cover. Victoria FINALLY used the water gun to beat Michelle with. Maryse held Cherry so Victoria could dump the bucket of water on her, but Cherry moved. Michelle hit her double-underhook face-plant on Victoria for the win. PWtorch.com
04/04/08 Friday SmackDown! - Miami, FL - SmackDown Top Diva Contest
Teddy Long said they'd announce the winner of the SmackDown Top Diva Contest. He said the winner would win a motorcycle. He introduced the owners of the sponsor shop, three guys, all with ample traits to make fun of, but I'll resist other than saying they looked like bad guys in a Scoopy Doo cartoon. The owner said they're excited to build a custom chopper and he hopes they like what they did. The winner was then announced as Michelle McCool. Maybe she can go riding with Undertaker sometime. McCool sat on the custom bike, which was very custom-looking. Victoria's music interrupted. She said the contest was a joke and she's the no. 1 diva. She charged at McCool. McCool ducked and tackled Victoria. Another blond woman joined in the attack on McCool. Cole and Coach were speechless. Cherry tried to protect McCool, but the blond smacked her and then tossed McCool into a ringpost. They showed a stunned looking Cole and Coach saying they didn't know who that woman was. (It was Nattie Neidhart, daughter of Jim Neidhart of the Hart Foundation.) PWtorch.com
04/11/08 Friday SmackDown! - Boston, MA - Victoria vs. Michelle McCool
Victoria introduced Natalia Neidhart, her new best friend, who came down to the ring with her. We even got a video package of her father, Jim Neidhart. Natalia said the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. She gave a message to the Divas on SmackDown: When you mess with the best, you go down with the best. She even did a laugh and gave a “yeah, baby.” Nice.
Michelle was not happy, and came out swinging. Victoria got away from the onslaught by retreating to ringside. Michelle followed her out and clotheslined her. Victoria turned the tables back inside the squared circle. McCool went to the top, but was caught by Victoria. She hit a suplex off the middle rope for only two. Neck-breaker by McCool. Neidhart threw her jacket at McCool, distracting her while Victoria rolled her up, grabbed the tights, and pulled off the victory. PWtorch.com
04/18/08 Friday SmackDown! - Orlando, Florida - Cherry (w/Michelle McCool) vs. Victoria (w/Natalia)
Cole noted this is Cherry's first-ever singles match on Smackdown. Not a great start to the second hour as the Big Show-Henry match ended 17 minutes before this match began, and not much of anything actually happened to fill that time. Victoria slapped Cherry. Cherry cried. Victoria said there's no time to cry in wrestling, then continued the beating. Cherry surprised Victoria with a schoolgirl out of the corner for a two count. Cole said she almost got the pin. Coach said it wasn't even close. Victoria applied an upperbody chinlock, then methodically kicked and kneed her. Victoria turned to trash talk Michelle at ringside, then Cherry rolled up Victoria for the win. Cole sold it like this huge upset, as if fans have any idea that one diva is considered tougher than another other than Beth Phoenix. PWtorch.com
04/27/08 WWE Backlash PPV - Baltimore, MD - Mickie James/Michelle McCool/Ashley/Maria/Cherry/Kelly Kelly vs.
Beth Phoenix/Melina/Jillian Hall/Natalya/Victoria/Layla
Michelle started things off against Beth. Lawler plugged Michelle being the number search item on Yahoo yesterday, ahead of the NFL Draft. Someone got information off the Torch News Ticker. Mickie entered the ring and avoided Victoria's shimmy moonsault and nailed an enziguiri kick. Suddenly, the whole deal broke down when Cherry ran over to the heel corner and attacked Natalya. Order was momentarily restored, then Ashley and Jillian took tags. I have no idea what's going on with Ashley's outfit. The heels then took turns working over Ashley in their corner. Mickie came into the ring without a tag, then women randomly entered the ring illegally. It wasn't even a break down, just one diva giving a move, then another diva getting a move, then another diva getting a move, then another diva getting a move. Just completely random. And it came back down to Beth and Ashley, who were legal. Beth with the big fisherman buster suplex on Ashley for the pin and the win.
Winners: Team Beth in 7:00. That was the most organized match break down I've ever seen. Otherwise, a giant collection of multi-colored outfits that probably caused a few TVs to explode. PWtorch.com
04/28/08 Monday Night Raw - The Meadowlands, NJ - Mickie James/Michelle McCool/Maria/Kelly Kelly/Cherry/Ashley vs. Beth Phoenix/Melina/Jillian Hall/Victoria/Natalya/Layla
Things started off with Kelly and Beth, who attacked Kelly from behind after a pre-match scuffle. Not quite Garnett vs. Pachulia, but it'll do. Victoria took a tag, then Kelly snapped off a head scissors, but the heel divas cut her off and went back to work. Kelly then blocked a handspring elbow from Jillian and tagged out to Mickie, who rolled up Jillian with a bridge pin for the win. PWtorch.com
WebMaster's Note: Jeez, a rehash of last night's PPV!
05/02/08 Friday SmackDown! - Atlantic City, NJ - Natalya & Victoria vs. Michelle McCool & Cherry
Cherry showed aggressiveness early on with slaps to the face on the heel divas, but Natalya tripped her from the outside, setting up Victoria's attack. Announcers talked about the Hart family connection for Natalya, prompting Cole to say Natalya gave him a look earlier in the day that seemed to say she wanted to slap him. Foley said that's not unusual in the locker room. Michelle got the hot tag at 4:00 and cleaned house. Victoria then shoved Michelle off the top rope, which allowed Natalya to cover Michelle with a hook of the tights for the pin and the win. PWtorch.com
