Jillian and Ashley start. Jillian gets the upper hand and whips Ashley. Ashley gets a foot up and hits a cross body for two. Melina tags in but gets hit with a hard clothesline. Maria tags in and does a handstand/kick to Melina’s head. Maria gets hung up on the second rope and Melina chokes her on it. Beth tags in and hits a side slam on Maria for two. Maria is able to get away and tag Mickie. Mickie hits head scissors on Beth and slides out between Jillian’s legs and onto the apron. Mickie takes both Jillian and Melina out. Beth comes after Mickie and gets her up in a double chicken wing. Mickie kicks her in the gut to get out. And enziguri and all the Divas get involved. Mickie gets hung up on the ropes. 01/21/08 Monday Night Raw - Hampton, VA - Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix - Non-Title Match
Women's champ Beth Phoenix came to the ring for a match. Sweet graphics for Beth. As the opponent, Mickie James came out in her home state, so you now that's not a good sign. Ross said Mickie told him before the show that she's winning tonight.

Mickie ducked under Beth early, then landed a Thesz Press for a series of right hand blows. Mickie went for ten punches in the corner, but Beth turned her around on the apron. Beth then smashed Mickie with a knee to the face, taking Mickie to the floor. Beth then rammed Mickie back-first into the ring. Back in the ring, Mickie rolled up Beth and got a handful of trunks for a nearfall. They did a standing forearm exchange, leading to Mickie nailing a flying forearm. Mickie kicked Beth in the gut, then went for a lift-up DDT, but Beth hung her across the top rope. Beth then transitioned into her fisherman buster suplex for the win. Afterward, Mickie slammed her first on the mat in frustration. She choked back tears while Beth stood confidently on the outside. PWtorch.com

01/28/08 Monday Night Raw - Philadelphia, PA - Mickie James/Ashley vs. Beth Phoenix/Jillian Hall
Ashley came out first for a divas tag match. Mickie James came out all-smiles and got a nice reaction. Ross narrated clips of Mickie losing to Beth Phoenix last week, then being devastated after the match. Jillian Hall came out for the heel team, followed by Beth Phoenix. Ross covered for Lillian's flub on Beth's name. Mickie and Beth locked eyes, with Mickie's smile being turned upside down.

Jillian and Mickie started things off, with Mickie landed a kick early in the match. Jillian seemed to injure a knee, or at least she was selling it well. Beth took an early tag and stomped Mickie into the corner. Mickie smashed her shoulder into the corner, then Lawler said she used to love these matches, but now he's concerned because they seem too dangerous. Mickie completely ignored Ashley, who remained on the ring apron. Mickie then cleared Jillian to the outside, but Beth caught Mickie with a kick to the gut. She nailed the fisherman buster suplex for the win. Afterward, Mickie was in a shock while Ashley tried to console her. PWtorch.com

02/04/08 Monday Night Raw - Austin, TX - Kelly Kelly/Mickie James vs, Victoria/Beth Phoenix
Lawler was speechless during Kelly's spirited ring intro, finally uttering, "Mannn!" We got some fresh camera angles this week of the new entrance stage, too, so they're having fun with the new set and new look as the weeks progress. Mickie got in a flurry of offense against Victoria, but when she went to the top rope, Phoenix shook the top rope and Mickie landed awkwardly on her left leg. She clutched her knee. Phoenix scored a near fall right away. Mickie surprised Phoenix with a guillotine for a few seconds, but Phoenix escaped and tagged in Victoria. The way the women sell, everything seems real because things look less-than-smooth most of the time where it looks as if someone could have been hurt. Anyway, Mickie quickly finished Victoria with a DDT. Mickie signaled she wanted a Women's Title shot after that win. PWtorch.com

02/18/08 Monday Night Raw - Anaheim, CA - Maria vs. Beth Phoenix
Santino Marella and Maria walked out to lighten the mood. Santino had a clipboard with him. Lawler revealed that 94 percent of voters wanted Maria to pose for Playboy. Santino said he had great news as the fans will get what they want. He said his Maria will pose in Playboy. He had a contract in hand. He said first he has arranged for her to wrestle "Glamazon" Beth Phoenix. Maria was wearing high heels.

As the match was about to begin, Santino said he just saw in small print she can only pose in Playboy if she beats Beth Phoenix tonight. He said this is the first time he was aware of this. The bell rang to the start the match. A determined Maria went after Phoenix, but Phoenix immediately powered her into the corner and stomped and kicked her. Santino said that he was the victim of some kind of conspiracy. Ross said, "That statement lacks a little genuality." Two minutes in, Candice Michelle walked to ringside. She distracted Phoenix, so Maria rolled her up from behind for the leverage pin. Santino made a great face, biting his index finger and trying to force a happy look. PWtorch.com

Lawler plugged Candice & Maria vs. Beth Phoenix & Melina in a Playboy bunny match at WrestleMania. They went to footage of Maria's Playboy photo shoot. She did a voice-over on the "fashion shoot with fewer clothes." Maria said that for anyone to tell a girl you look hot naked, it makes you feel good. Next week is the Playboy cover unveiling. Melina came out with Women's champion Beth Phoenix. They showed a Mania 23 recap of Ashley vs. Melina, with Melina winning to retain the Women's Title. Melina then took the mic and said she was really looking forward to beating Ashley again, but Ashley is injured. Melina said she's a typical Playboy cover girl who looks great on the outside, but has nothing on the inside. She then announced a WrestleMania pre-match and said she's not just another pretty face. Maria came out with Candice to face Melina. They dropped the Playboy cover from the ceiling.

A minute into the match, Santino Marella walked out on stage holding a copy of Playboy. Santino approached the ring and got on the apron holding up the magazine. Santino then ripped it apart, being careful not to expose the contents to the camera. Melina then took advantage with her sweeping leg drop for the win. After the match, Candice shoved Santino, but Beth ran over to Candice and shoved her down hard. Santino then raised Beth and Melina's arms in victory to preview the BunnyMania match. 03/24/08 Monday Night Raw - Columbia, SC - Melina (w/Women's champ Beth Phoenix) vs. Maria
Beth interfered in the opening minute, then Ashley stormed the ring and confronted Melina. Ashley screamed at the ref, then fans booed the entire proceedings. Oh wait, Santino Marella was running to the ring. Suddenly, Jerry Lawler jumped into the ring and smashed Santino with a right hand blow. Lawler, Maria, and Ashley stood tall, then William Regal showed up and booked an impromptu inter-gender six-person tag match.

They returned with Santino coming off the top rope, but Lawler blocked with a fist to the gut. Lawler then landed a dropkick as Ross got in a product placement for a Subway sandwich. Melina took a tag, but Lawler didn't have to tag out. Lawler measured Melina for a punch, but he opted to tag out to Ashley, who smacked Melina in the face. I don't get the outfit. Maria then took a tag and hit the Bronco Buster on Melina. Beth Phoenix took a tag and smashed Maria with a spinebuster in center ring. Santino took a tag and stalked Maria, but Maria smashed her with a slap to the face. Ashley landed a far-less-convincing slap. The divas took turns smacking Santino in the corner, then Santino fell to the outside and accepted right hand blows from Lawler. Suddenly, Beth and Melina chop blocked Maria from behind. Santino then rolled into the ring and found himself on top of Maria for the pin and the win. PWtorch.com

03/30/08 Wrestlemania 24 PPV - Orlando, FL - Beth Phoenix/ Melina vs. Maria/Ashley - Playboy Bunny Lumberjill Match
Ashley busted out a huracanrana and head scissors at various points in the match. Didn't look half-bad. Melina then catapulted Ashley into Beth's arms for a bear hug. Suddenly the lights went off and Lawler asked if The Undertaker just arrived. The action continued in the ring while the lights shut off. A spotlight came on above the ring to give a little light. This gives new meaning to the "dark match" term. Maria had a pin on Melina, but Santino yanked Maria off the pin. Jerry Lawler then came over and smashed Santino with a right hand blow. Back in the ring, Beth gave Maria the fisherman buster suplex for the pin and the win.

After the match, Santino stood over Maria's body and taunted her. Snoop then jumped into the ring and smashed Santino with a clothesline. Santino left, then Snoop picked up Maria and had a brief make-out session. Ashley and Maria left with Snoop while Santino had to be

04/07/08 Monday Night Raw - Albany, NY - Maria vs. Beth Phoenix
Maria charges Beth to start the match and they lock up and trade slaps then Maria hits her with a forearm and a kick. Beth overpowers Maria and slams her on her back, kicking and stomping on her. Beth hits a big dropkick on Maria, sending her outside to regain her composure. Back in the ring and Beth hits an odd submission to slam move on Maria. Maria rolls Beth up for a close 2 count and fights back with knees to the gut and kicks. Maria takes her down with a head scissors and a cross body off the top rope. Beth rolls over Maria's crossbody and picks her up in the air. Maria counters with a DDT and gets a 2 count. Beth Phoenix drops Maria's neck over the ropes then hits her Fisherman's suplex for the pinfall and the win. ProWrestling.com

04/14/08 Monday Night Raw - London, England - Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix
Phoenix's music is still among my favorites in WWE. Ross asked Lawler about facing someone you've never been able to beat. Lawler said you can't help but have personal doubts. Glamazon pretty much dominated throughout. She applied a cool chicken wing submission hold with Mickey held in the air face down. Mickey escaped and shoved Phoenix into the corner turnbuckle. She followed up with an elbow to the face and a kick to the gut. She showed fire and set up her DDT. Phoenix shoved her into the corner to block it. Ross said if she was thinking DDT, "she thought too long." Phoenix stomped Mickie in the corner. Mickie came back with a Thesz press off the second rope, which Ross inexplicably called a bulldog, for a two count. Ross and Lawler expressed amazement at Phoenix's resilience. Mickie surprised Phoenix with a victory roll for a surprise three count to capture the Women's Title. Mickie celebrated like she just opened the $1 briefcase instead of the $500,000 and $1,000,000 briefcases late in "Deal of No Deal." She grabbed the belt and practically tripped over herself in celebration as she headed up the rampway.

After the commercial break Mickie was still celebrating and crying on stage. She was joined by Maria and Ashley. Todd Grisham interviewed her. Mickie said she knew she could do it. She was so emotional she kissed Grisham on the lips for several seconds. He fell backward.Lawler said, "Mickie James has just done what was thought to be impossible - kiss Todd Grisham. Just kidding." With the ratings success of TNA's women's division, WWE is smart if this is a sign of them taking note and renewing a serious athletic division based on more than just T&A.? 04/21/08 Monday Night Raw - Greenville, SC - Celebrating Mickie's Win
Michelle McCool, Ashley, Kelly Kelly, Cherry, and Maria came out to the ring. Maria said they wanted to celebrate what they never thought was possible. Roll clip of Mickie James winning the Women's Title from Beth Phoenix last week. Ashley said the witch is dead. She then welcomed out Mickie James for a big celebration. Mickie hopped to the ring with the Women's Title in hand while Ross referenced Danica Patrick having a Mickie James moment by winning her first race over the weekend.

Maria said she knows Mickie wasn't expecting a celebration, but they wanted to tell her congratulations. Mickie gave the speech about never giving up and always competing. She said she proved everyone wrong last week. Before she could finish, Beth Phoenix led out the heel divas to the ring. Beth, Melina, Victoria, Natalia, Jillian Hall (w/strange wig and/or facial lift?), and Layla came out. Beth ripped the mic away and said listening to this pathetic lovefest prompted them to come out here and break up the party. Beth said the question is when she's winning the belt back. McCool speaks! She then slapped Beth across the face. This led to a giant brawl, of course. The babyface divas cleared the heel divas from the ring, leading to a diva

Michelle started things off against Beth. Lawler plugged Michelle being the number search item on Yahoo yesterday, ahead of the NFL Draft. Someone got information off the Torch News Ticker. Mickie entered the ring and avoided Victoria's shimmy moonsault and nailed an enziguiri kick. Suddenly, the whole deal broke down when Cherry ran over to the heel corner and attacked Natalya. Order was momentarily restored, then Ashley and Jillian took tags. I have no idea what's going on with Ashley's outfit. The heels then took turns working over Ashley in their corner. Mickie came into the ring without a tag, then women randomly entered the ring illegally. It wasn't even a break down, just one diva giving a move, then another diva getting a move, then another diva getting a move, then another diva getting a move. Just completely random. And it came back down to Beth and Ashley, who were legal. Beth with the big fisherman buster suplex on Ashley for the pin and the win.

Winners: Team Beth in 7:00. That was the most organized match break down I've ever seen. Otherwise, a giant collection of multi-colored outfits that probably caused a few TVs to explode. PWtorch.com

Victoria took a tag, then Kelly snapped off a head scissors, but the heel divas cut her off and went back to work. Kelly then blocked a handspring elbow from Jillian and tagged out to Mickie, who rolled up Jillian with a bridge pin for the win. PWtorch.com

Beth sent Mickie to the outside a minute into the match, then the heel lumberjacks attacked Mickie. Back in the ring, Mickie had enough of the heels grabbing at her feet, so she tried to attack Jillian ringside. A divas brawl broke out while Ross tried to restrain Lawler from getting mixed up in the action. They cut to break.

They returned with Mickie trying to fight back against Beth with kicks to the gut, but Beth tossed Mickie to the apron and the heel divas nipped at her heels again. Back in the ring, Mickie caught Beth with an enziguiri kick that sent Beth to the floor. The babyface divas ganged up on Beth, then Beth dragged Maria into the ring. Meanwhile, Melina accidentally blasted Beth with her shoe when Mickie ducked. Mickie then rolled up a stunned Beth from behind for the pin and the win. PWtorch.com

05/12/08 Monday Night Raw - Detroit, MI - Melina & Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James & Maria
Melina came out first for the divas tag match. After she did her little in-ring pose thingie, Beth Phoenix came out while the announcers talked about Beth and Melina not being on the same page last week. Maria led out the babyface tandem, then Mickie James pranced out to a typical strong reaction.

Melina and Beth had an early miscommunication, with Beth being bumped off the ring apron. Beth then opted to leave the ring instead of take a tag from Melina to set up a beating on Mickie. Melina lost control, and Mickie finished off Melina with a neckbreaker. Beth just kept walking up the ramp with her back to the ring while Mickie and Maria celebrated afterward.

Later Backstage: Melina had an icepack on her neck trying to talk to Jillian Hall about her problems. Beth Phoenix then walked in and told Melina what's the real story with their problems. Beth said she knows Melina just wants the Women's Title, and Melina thinks she can beat Mickie easier than she can beat Beth for the belt. Melina asked if that's so. She then landed a forearm blow that set off a full-scale brawl. Beth got the best of the fight, then referees eventually stepped in to settle things down. PWtorch.com

05/18/08 WWE Judgement Day PPV - Omaha, NE - Mickie James vs. "Glamazon" Beth Phoenix vs. Melina - Title Match
When the match began, Glamazon insisted that Melina "get out of my ring right now." Melina refused and instead kicked Glamazon out of the ring. Mickie seized the opportunity to roll-up Melina for a near fall. Mickie ran into the ropes, but Glamazon yanked them down and Mickie fell to the floor. Glamazon clotheslined her on the floor, then entered the ring to go after Melina. Melina went after her aggressively. Mickie returned to the ring applied a sleeper type hold at 2:00. When Mickie went to the top rope, Melina knocked her off balance. Glamazon picked up Melina onto her shoulders and dropped her back Electric Chair style. Mickie dove onto Glamazon for a near fall, then scored a two count. She followed with a low dropkick. Melina set up Mickie on the top rope. Glamazon picked up Melina in an inverted body vice. She then moved over to Mickie and lifted her, too. "There's no way," Ross declared. "I've never seen that in my life." Glamazon held both women up there in an inverted body vice for several seconds before dropping down. As Glamazon set up a chokeslam on Mickie, Melina jumped Beth from behind. In-ring: After a video package aired on Beth's double backbreaker last night, Melina walked out to the ring. She did her split ring entrance on the announce table and Ross pulled out his handkerchief to cool himself down. Melina joined them on commentary before Beth Phoenix came to the ring for a match. Maria came out as the opponent.

Melina and Lawler talked about Playboy, and Melina left the door open for Lawler to convince her to pose. Beth dominated the match, then applied a stretch submission with Maria's shoulders pulled back away from her chest. Maria tapped out, giving Beth the submission win. Afterward, Beth stared down Maria, then she left the ring. Suddenly, Melina stormed the ramp and attacked Beth from behind. Beth recovered and gave Melina a hard slam on the ramp. Melina recovered while refs held Beth back from inflicting further damage. Fans ringside chanted, "Let them fight" as they closed the segment. PWtorch.com

05/26/08 Monday Night Raw - Denver, CO - Jillian Hall vs. Melina
Beth Phoenix joined Ross and Lawler on commentary. Before the match, Jillian Hall said Melina has no chance in hell against Phoenix on Sunday. She obnoxiously sang "No Chance In Hell!" Phoenix winced and said she appreciates the sentiment. Jillian speared Melina at the bell and took early control. Phoenix said, "King, I have never uttered the words I quit." Phoenix asked Lawler which WWE Diva, past or present, could make her say "I quit." Phoenix said Maria was crying for hours after she beat her last week. Melina made a comeback and finished Jillian with a bridge chinlock submission. Phoenix said she hopes she brings everything she's got so she can wipe the mat with her. Ross said Sunday will be "Divaliciously Extreme." That may be the first time that phrase has ever been uttered. PWtorch.com

06/01/08 WWE One Night Stand PPV - San Diego, CA - Beth Phoenix vs. Melina - I Quit Match
Beth Phoenix walked out first for the I Quit match. Melina then walked out and one of the paparazzi photographers tripped over himself walking backward to snap photos of Melina. Melina patted him on the head as he sheepishly recovered to a crouching position. Once Melina entered the ring, Beth tried not to bust up laughing looking at her. We're off to an inauspicious start tonight.

Beth dominated early on, then Melina came back with a Muta Lock, but Beth moved the hold to the ropes for a rope break after refusing to tap out. Ross with the line of the night that Beth is as reluctant to say "I quit" as Lawler is to say "I do." Six minutes in, Beth continued to rip apart Melina without picking up the necessary submission. Melina came back with a single-arm DDT focusing on the shoulder before Melina slapped on a Fujiwara armbar. Melina then rolled it into a cross arm-breaker, but Beth showed off her strength by taking Melina into mid-air from the arm-breaker position into a big powerbomb. Beth then put Melina in a seated chicken wing that bent Melina's sternum outward into a very uncomfortable position. Melina eventually gave up, giving Beth the win. PWtorch.com

06/02/08 Monday Night Raw - Bakersfield, CA - Beth Phoenix/Katie Lea vs. Mickie James/Melina - Tag Team Match
The announcers hyped Beth's sick-looking submission move on Melina to win the I Quit match last night. Katie Lea then came out as her tag partner. Melina walked out first for the babyface team, and she was holding her back in pain. Mickie James then bounced out to the ring and encouraged Melina to get in the ring, but Melina was more interested in an ice bath than wrestling.

The heels worked on Mickie to start things off while Melina paced the ring apron. Melina then screamed at Mickie for a tag and Mickie obliged. Melina came in hotter than a Texas summer night and tackled Beth to the outside. Mickie eventually had to pull Mickie off Beth, then Melina tried to get herself some more, but Beth landed a sick clothesline on the floor that took the air out of the building. Back in the ring, Melina made a hot tag to Mickie, who landed a snap neckbreaker on Katie. Mickie then went up top and landed a Thesz Press before trying her spike DDT finisher. Katie blocked, though, and Beth smashed Mickie into the mat behind the ref's back. Katie then scored a pin for the win. PWtorch.com

Ross and Lawler debated the merits of the Cena/Mickie relationship that's the talk of the locker room while Beth worked over Mickie to start things off. Mickie came back with a double-foot dropkick to the face for a nearfall at 2:00. Mickie then went up top and landed a Thesz Press into a pin for the win.

Post-match: Beth tried to sneak attack Mickie, but Melina jumped into the ring for revenge on Beth. Melina took Beth face-first into the mat, then she stared down Beth and left the ring. Beth was super-mad afterward and made a mean face toward Melina. PWtorch.com

In-ring: Santino asked who has the guts to accept his open challenge. Beth Phoenix's music interrupted and we have a Beth Phoenix sighting. Santino was shocked by this abrasive challenge, leading to a match.

Santino found himself flat on his back with Beth in prime position to land some hard right punches. Fans encouraged her to take it to Santino, then she obliged with rapid-fire blows. Santino tried to come back, but Beth rolled him up with a small package for the pin and the win. Santino complained to anyone who would listen while the crowd ate up Beth's victory. 07/21/08 Monday Night Raw - Mohegan Sun Casino, CT - Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix
Bell sounded and Beth bullied Kelly into the corner with a shove to the chest. Kelly tried to use her quickness with a leg sweep and short dropkick before attempting a roll-up in the corner. Beth blocked, however, and took Kelly in the air for a running slam across the way. Beth slapped on a mat hold as the fans tried to rally behind Kelly. Kelly made a nice comeback and countered the double chicken wing stretch into a roll-up, but Beth rolled through into a wheel barrow implant buster for the decisive pin. PWtorch.com

07/28/08 Monday Night Raw - Washington, DC - Kelly Kelly & D-Lo Brown vs. Beth Phoenix & Santino Marella - Mixed Tag Team Match
Cole said men can take on women in this match. Santino looked to have gone back to working out or slept in a tanning bed - or both. Santino had trouble lifting D-Lo in hte opening minute. He tagged in Phoenix, who easily lifted D-Lo. Santino got bug-eyed with embarrassment. Kelly tagged in and threw elbows at Phoenix. Santino begged for a tag. He tagged in, missed with an elbow, but schoolboyed Kelly for the three count. He celebrated like Kurt Angle winning the Gold Medal. Santino offered a very, very platonic, business-like handshake. She turned. He checked her out from behind. He was about to tap her on the shoulder. She frowned. The awkwardness continued as they both stood center-ring, waiting for the other to make a move. He moved in for a kiss, but backed off as soon as she turned around. She asked him what he was doing. She grabbed him by his hair as he was about to leave the ring, then forced a kiss on him. In-ring: Kelly Kelly came to the ring in a bright hot pink outfit. Beth Phoenix then came out with Santino to face Kelly. And Santino on commentary with Jerry stupid Lawler.

Santino said he has great confidence in Beth to handle Kelly here. Beth nearly killed Kelly a minute into the match with a back-drop attempt where Kelly didn't quite flip over to land on her back. Everyone held their breath momentarily, as Santino talked about Beth tossing him around like Beth is tossing around Kelly. Suddenly, Kelly countered a press slam into a roll-up for a nearfall. Beth had enough and finished off Kelly with a sit-down implant buster for the pin and the win.

Post-match: Santino took the mic and said they need to send a message to Kofi and Mickie for the Summerslam winner-take-all match. Santino said he wanted her to do that thing where she quashes her, but Mickie and Kofi ran to the ring to make the save. Santino casually slipped out of the ring with Beth and said they'll settle this at Summerslam. Santino then suggested a match here right now. Kofi accepted the challenge, then Santino said he meant Mickie. See, he needs practice for Summerslam on when and where he can put his hands. Mickie wasn't amused and Kofi tried to defend her, but Santino played the "hometown" card to goat Mickie into accepting the challenge against Kofi's judgment. [Commercial Break]

Mickie James (w/IC champion Kofi Kingston) vs. Santino Marella (w/Beth Phoenix)
This was so great to start off with Mickie matching Santino move-for-move in a game of can-you-top-this? Santino then smashed Mickie hard to the mat and went for the big knee drop, but Mickie moved in time. Santino feigned a knee injury, but Mickie showed no sympathy and went on the attack. Kofi then accidentally ran interference, allowing Beth to sneak into the ring and send Mickie hard into the ringpost. Santino took advantage with a roll-up for like a four count to secure the pin. Afterward, Santino celebrated ringside in classic Santino-wins-the-Super-Bowl fashion while taunting Mickie's parents in the process. 08/17/08 Summerslam PPV - Indianapolis, IN - Beth Phoenix & Santino Marella vs. Mickie James & Kofi Kingston - Winning Team Wins Both Belts
Backstage: Maria brought in Santino and Beth Phoenix for an interview. Ah, Santino and Maria together again. Santino said Maria has really let herself go since they broke apart. Santino referenced the Glamarella tandem that has all the tabloids talking. After Maria cracked a joke on Santino's unibrow, Santino said he drives the women crazy with it. He even dropped a manscaping reference. Santino left, leaving Beth and Maria to have a staring contest. Beth told Maria he's all hers.

In-ring: Mickie James (Women's champion) and Kofi Kingston (IC champion) came out to defend their respective titles in the winner-takes-all bout. Santino and Beth showed unity coming out together after the champions came out with separate entrances. Oh my, Santino sporting the singlet.

There was a little dissension between Santino and Beth early on, with Beth complaining about Santino ruining things for her. Kofi teased a splash onto both, but Santino hopped into Beth's awaiting arms and Kofi stopped short. Hilarious. Back in the ring, Santino and Kofi battled until knocking heads pretty hard. They quickly made tags out the ladies to get a breather, leading to Mickie getting the upper hand on Beth. Mickie went up top and nailed her Thesz Press, but Santino broke up the pin. Mickie then gave Santino a nice elevated DDT to KO Santino. Mickie was then blindsided by Beth, who smashed her with the seated implant buster for the pin and the win.

Afterward, Beth revived Santino from a state of unconsciousness and handed him his IC Title belt. Santino then hopped on Beth's shoulders and Beth carried him around ringside as Santino shouted that they did it. On stage, Santino claimed he did it all by himself. 08/18/08 Monday Night Raw - Chicago, IL - Santino Marella (w/Beth Phoenix) vs. D-Lo Brown
Santino soaked up the announcement from Lillian Garcia that he's the new IC champion. D-Lo came out as Santino's opponent, then Kofi Kingston came out afterward. Kofi was still all-smiles despite losing the IC Title last night. Kofi joined Cole and Lawler on commentary.

D-Lo went for a top rope move early on, but he apparently got his foot caught on the tag rope and crashed hard to the mat. Kofi said he's looking forward to getting his title back, then D-Lo made his comeback and went back up top. Suddenly, Beth casually walked into the ring and stood over Santino to block D-Lo. He told her to get to stepping, but Beth slapped him in the face to cause a DQ. Santino stepped in and told Beth he had things under control, but D-Lo smacked him in the face. Santino wound up on the outside where Kofi rammed him head-first into the announce table. Beth then picked up Santino and helped him stumble around ringside. PWtorch.com

08/25/08 Monday Night Raw - Wilkes-Barre, PA - Beth Phoenix (w/Santino Marella) vs. Kelly Kelly - Non-title Match
Early on, Beth Phoenix suffered a bloody nose when she took a knee to the face as Kelly came off the ropes. Beth and Santino had a discussion after Santino tried to help, which distracted Beth enough for Kelly to roll her up from behind for the win. Afterward, Santino covered his face and quietly entered the ring to check on Beth, who wiped away blood from her nose before tackling Santino and landing repeated punches. Santino then ran out of the ring to head for higher ground.

Santino Marella vs. Kofi Kingston - Intercontinental Title Match
Gotta love Santino. He slapped on an abdominal stretch and instantly told the ref to call for the bell for a submission. Kofi easily escaped, then teased a top rope dive before nailing a Russian legsweep. Kofi then landed the boom-boom leg drop smash and Santino rolled to the floor. He wanted a time-out, but Beth Phoenix stormed ringside and told Santino to get back in the ring. Kofi checked on Beth, then slipped back into the ring where Beth tripped him from behind and Kofi ate Santino's knee. Kofi slumped to the mat, then Santino rolled him over and made the cover for the win.

Afterward, Santino backed into a corner when Beth slipped into the ring with a band-age over her nose. Santino was frightened, but Beth pinned his arms back and planted a big kiss. Santino asked, "You not mad?" He then celebrated the victory and Beth not being mad at him by spinning her into the turnbuckle and planting a big kiss on her. Beth then led Santino out of the ring and told him to walk straight, while Santino just wanted to gloat to the fans about winning. Classic. PWtorch.com

09/01/08 Monday Night Raw - St. Louis, MO - Beth Phoenix/Jillian Hall/Katie Lea vs. Mickie James/Kelly Kelly/Candice Michelle
Jillian Hall started to sing Nelly's song about taking off all your clothes while Katie Lea stood by in painful horror. Mickie James interrupted, followed by Kelly Kelly. Beth Phoenix then came out as the third diva on the heel side. Beth took the mic and told Randy Orton to take a close look at her - the most beautiful and talented diva to set foot in the ring. She said there is no one that can match her power. Suddenly, Candice Michelle's music interrupted and Candice made her return to the ring as the third babyface diva. Cole and Lawler quickly recapped the history between Beth and Candice before the match started.

Beth was in the ring at 3:00 when Candice took a hot tag and dropped Beth with a wicked head scissors into knee smash. Beth came back with a double sledge, but Candice leap frogged in the corner into a seated slam. Candice then went up top with a bit of hesitation. She cleared off the heels, though, and nailed a cross body block. Unfortunately, Beth rolled through into powerslam position. Candice slipped out, though, and scored with a small package on Beth for the pin and the win. Afterward, Candice lowered the strap on her top to show she's healed up from the broken clavicle. Of note, Mickie didn't look enthralled being over-shadowed by the returning Candice vs. Beth program. PWtorch.com

09/08/08 Monday Night Raw - Fort Wayne, IN - Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James - Women's Title Match
Candice Michelle came to the ring ahead of the Women's Title match between Mickie James and Beth Phoenix. Michael Cole said Candice gets the title match against the winner at the next PPV. Beth quickly showed off her power in the opening minutes, dragging Mickie in and out of the ring to inflict punishment. Mickie then blocked a corner move and snapped off a head scissors. Candice was shown chuckling to herself sitting in the director's chair ringside. Beth then blocked a top rope move and flung Mickie hard to the mat with a power move for the pin and the win. Rather decisive victory. Beth then stared down Candice, who stood up and giggled at Beth. PWtorch.com

WebMaster's Note: Candice looked more polished last week (her first week back) than Mickie did in this match. Not sure what was wrong but Mickie missed her move or was sloppy in the execution several times.
