09/15/08 Monday Night Raw - Memphis, TN - Candice Michelle vs. Jillian Hall
During Candice's ring intro, Beth Phoenix walked up behind her and passed her without incident on her way to sit with Cole and Lawler at ringside. Jillian kept talking throughout the match, trying to be as obnoxious as possible. When Jillian went for a handspring elbow in the corner, Candice grabbed her and finished her with the Candy Wrapper finisher. Phoenix seemed nonplussed at ringside. Candice dropkicked Phoenix off the ring apron as soon as Phoenix made a move toward her. Then her dance club theme song music played again. As Phoenix walked away, she said No Mercy will be nothing like tonight. PWtorch.com

09/22/08 Monday Night Raw - Cincinnati, OH - Santino Marella (w/Beth Phoenix) vs. Deuce
The always smiling Kelly Kelly chatted with a photographer who seemed to enjoy her company. Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix walked up to Kelly. Santino was wearing a face guard. Phoenix accused Kelly of laughing at them. Santino called her "Kelly Kelly Kelly." Hilarious, mostly due to his delivery. He then mocked Batista's ring entrance routine and called him a big baby. Batista walked up behind Santino, who shrieked like a little girl. Phoenix said if Batista messes with their match, her boyfriend will mess up his face. She shoved Santino into Batista's chest. Santino's music played. He backed off and said Batista is lucky that his music is playing. He ran to the entrance tunnel.

Santino stood mid-ring and updated the Honk-a-Meter: 64 weeks for Honkytonk Man and 5 for him. Before he could explain how this is some sort of achievment, Deuce walked out.

Santino told Deuce before the match that if Batista messes with him, he'll beat him up just like he's about to beat up Fonzie. He then said, "Happy days are over." They wisely didn't book this to last long. Santino won quickly with a sunset flip.

Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly

Kelly did a flip on the top rope for a wrist-lock take-over. Beth powerbombed her right into the corner. Beth worked Kelly’s arm. Kelly fought back and did a cross-body off the middle rope for two. Santino tripped Kelly up then got on the apron. She dodged a Beth clothesline (as did Santino), but Kelly rolled Beth up for three.

Santino and Beth were going to take Kelly out in the ring, but Batista interrupted. Curiously, Beth stepped right up to him. Santino took a few punches at Batista, but he shook him off and speared Marella. PWtorch.com

09/29/08 Monday Night Raw - Minneapolis, MN - Kelly Kelly & Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix & Jillian Hall
Candice and Beth started things off to create tension for their Women's Title match at No Mercy. Michelle quickly kicked Beth in the leg before tagging out to Kelly. Candice came back in, then Jillian took advantage and worked her over for a few minutes. Crowd became restless, then Kelly and Beth took tags. Kelly snapped off a flying head scissors, but Beth came back with a running clothesline. Candice broke up the pin attempt, then Jillian yanked Candice to the floor. Kelly tried to roll up Beth from behind, but Beth wasn't going to let it happen two weeks in a row, so she rolled through into a huge front slam for the decisive pin and the win. Afterward, Candice helped Kelly recover while staring down Beth to set up Sunday. PWtorch.com

10/03/08 Friday SmackDown! - Green Bay, WI - Beth Phoenix vs. Michelle McCool - Lumberjack Match
Beth shoulder-blocked Michelle down, and McCool came back with a roll-up for two. Beth got some interesting power moves in, including a complicated bell-to-back suplex. Interestingly, neither women went to the outside for quite a while. Kick to the face by Michelle for two. Beth rolled to the outside, as did McCool. She got jumped by the heel divas, and the face divas made the save. Maryse punched Michelle, but that didn't seem to really slow her up much. Maryse tried to interfere again, but Michelle kicked her away. But it allowed Beth to hit the Glam Slam for the win. PWtorch.com

10/05/08 No Mercy PPV - Portland, OR. - Beth Phoenix (w/Santino Marella) vs. Candice Michelle - Title Match
Michael Cole and Lawler were shown on camera. Cole said Phoenix asked Santino Marella not to be at ringside for her because he's been bad luck for her. Nevertheless, he came out with her. Candice got a quick one count after an early one-two attack. She scored another two count seconds later with a leverage pin, and then a third two count, all within the opening 30 seconds. Phoenix took over at 1:00 by catching Candice and throwing her into the turnbuckle, then kicking her. Candice yelled in pain and clutched her repaired shoulder. Phoenix concentrated on Candice's arm and shoulder, including a rarely used these days double leg arm-stretch on the mat. Candice rolled out right into a pin attempt for a mere one count. Candice threw two clotheslines and a dropkick for a two count at 3:00. Phoenix countered a Russian leg sweep and went to the top rope. Cole said he couldn't recall the last time she climbed to the top rope. Candice got up and knocked her off balance, then gave her a running dropkick in the corner. When Candice made the cover, Santino yanked Phoenix out of the ring to stop the count. Phoenix landed hard and Phoenix got up and let him know how careless he was. Candice kicked Santino into Phoenix. When she went to ringside, Phoenix caught Candice with a throat thrust. As Phoenix argued with Santino, Candice rolled her up from behind for a near fall. Phoenix surprised Candice with her face plan Glam Slam finisher for the win. Santino left with Phoenix, but she seemed more upset than happy with the circumstances. PWtorch.com

William Regal and Layla were at ringside, Regal sitting in his throne with Layla standing behind him. In one of the most heelish things ever, Santino said he's been accused of being not American enough and too Italian, so in an effort to become more American for the fans, he adopted a new favorite NBA team. Santino took off his Santino t-shirt and revealed a t-shirt for the Oklahoma City Thunder, the new name and home city for Seattle's beloved Sonics. Santino said it's time a "city like Oklahoma" got an NBA team of its own. Beth and Mickie began the match. Mickie got early control with a barrage of punches. Santino tagged in, so Jamie also tagged in. Beth yanked on Santino's tights. He turned around. Santino rolled up Jamie from behind for the pin. PWtorch.com

11/03/08 Monday Night Raw - Tampa, FL - Eve Torres/Bri Bella/Kelly Kelly/Maria/Candice/Mickie/Tiffany/Mae Young vs Beth Phoenix/Jillian/Victoria/Natalya/Katie Lea/Layla/Lena/Maryse
The heel Divas were standing in the ring after the break. The babyfaces came out to Mickie's music. Lawler noted that the babyface team was short one member. Lawler said: "Her birth certificate is a rock. In one of the pyramids, they found a picture of Mae Young in a headlock." Lawler added: "You know the average male thinks of Kelly Kelly nine times every hour." Mae begged to be tagged in early. She entered against Phoenix. She jabbed her in the throat and knocked her to the mat with two more punches. She fended off a parade of women coming at him until she literally bouncedbackwards from the force of her own punch and landed backwards against the middle rope. It was both funny and scary at once. The babyface women leaped into the ring to knock others out. Phoenix schoolgirled Mae for the win. Santino celebrated with Phoenix and her teammates at ringside. PWtorch.com

11/10/08 Monday Night Raw - Manchester, U.K. - Santino Marella (w/Women's champion Beth Phoenix) vs. William Regal (w/Layla) - Intercontinental Title match
Lillian Garcia handled the formal ring intros, with Regal clearly the babyface in his home country. Santino had a good mix himself. And ring the bell. Regal absolutely smashed Santino with a running knee lift about 30 seconds into the match, then he pinned Santino for the easy pin and the win. Beth was shocked, as was the crowd. Beth then helped Santino out of the ring and checked on his KO'ed boyfriend.

Later Backstage: Beth Phoenix was shown walking around, then she found Santino texting on his phone. She tried to console him, but Santino said he will be fine and he should never have had to defend his title tonight. So, he called Shane to let him know what's on his mind. Santino said he's not scared of Shane, but he thinks Shane is taking it out on her. It's Beth vs. um... Mickie James tonight. Santino tried to break the news casually that her belt is on the line, but Beth was not pleased. She chucked his phone into the wall, shattering it, then walked off. "My phone," Santino whispered with his lip a quivering.

Beth Phoenix (w/Santino Marella) vs. Mickie James - Women's Title Match

Mickie dominated early. When Santino grabbed her from ringside, Mickie kicked him. That was the opening Phoenix needed to move in throw Mickie head-first into the turnbuckle and score the pin. Santino hugged Phoenix afterward. She still seemed miffed that he caused her to have to wrestle in the first place. Santino picked her up on his shoulders. PWtorch.com

11/23/08 Survivor Series PPV - Boston, MA - Smackdown Divas - Michelle McCool/Maryse/Victoria/Natalya/Maria vs. Raw Divas - Beth Phoenix (w/Santino Marella)/Mickie James/Candice Michelle/Jillian Hall/Kelly Kelly
Smackdown divas had a little trouble communicating early on here. Not quite on the same page. Kelly Kelly then grappled Victoria and gave her a huracanrana for a three count to earn the first elimination. Maryse then entered the ring and gave Kelly a kinda spinning backbreaker for a "chest press" pin. Rough going here.

Crowd was quiet as Michelle and Mickie tried to pick up the pace in the ring. Mickie then finished off Michelle with a swinging DDT, eliminating Smackdown's captain. Suddenly, Mickie and Beth entered into a discussion and Maryse took advantage with a roll-up on Mickie for an elimination. Natalya and Candice battled, then Natalya busted out the Sharpshooter to get a reaction out of the crowd. Candice wanted the ropes, but Jillian ended up breaking up the hold. Natalya complained, then Candice speared Natalya and pinned her with a bridge.

At 7:00, Jillian gave Maria a fallaway slam, which fortunately only resulted in a two count. Maria then came back on Jillian with a victory roll for a pin. Suddenly, Candice grappled Maria and scored a Northern Lights Suplex for the pin. So, it's Maryse left for Smackdown. She then applied a modified figure four, but Candice escaped. Tazz: "It was like a figure four leglock...but different."

Maryse then busted out a back heel kick on Beth, but it was good for a two count only. Maryse went for a top rope splash, but Beth caught her in mid-air. Maryse slipped out, but Beth grappled her for the chicken wing Glam Slam for the pin and the win. Naturally, Santino slipped into the ring to celebrate with Beth. PWtorch.com

11/24/08 Monday Night Raw - Providence, RI - Candice & Melina & Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix & Katie Lea & Jillian Hall
In-ring: Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, and Katie Lea came to the ring for a six-diva match of sorts. Beth bragged about winning the divas Survivor Series match last night, then Jillian interrupted to plug the Slammys in two weeks. She said she put together a musical number for this. She started to sing while Katie did some back-up dancing. Beth reprimanded her for encouraging Jillian here. More of Jillian breaking it down, then they cut to break.

In-ring: Mickie James, then Candice Michelle came out to the ring as two of the opponents. Lawler spoiled the surprise by saying Melina is back in the ring tonight. Lillian then announced Melina returning to Raw tonight. Cole covered that Lawler has the inside scoop on all the women in WWE. Lawler reasoned that he watches the Oxygen Channel a lot.

Slow pace here, then Melina took a hot tag and brought some energy to the match. Melina busted out a sick modified Canadian Destroyer on Katie, then Beth broke up the pin. The action broke down, then Melina finished off Katie with a leg sweep splits drop for the pin and the win. PWtorch.com

12/01/08 Monday Night Raw - Washington, DC - Melina vs. Jillian Hall
In-ring: Jillian Hall was butchering a Britney Spears song, I believe. Melina interrupted to come out for a match, but before anything could go down, Santino's music hit. Santino then came out with Women's champion Beth Phoenix. Apparently Santino is on commentary for the match.

Jillian quickly knocked Melina to the outside while Santino explained they're out here scouting new talent for Beth. Suddenly, the screen went blank then back to the ring where Jillian worked on Melina with a mat hold and screamed in her ear. Jillian then tried a corner handstand, but Melina blocked and nailed the "Last Call" modified Canadian Destroyer on Jillian for the win.

Afterward, Santino said he wasn't impressed. He tried to escort Beth out of the ringside area, but Melina got on the mic and said she's going to take Beth's most precious accessory, the Women's Title. Santino held Beth back, then took the lead on responding. After calling her Melanie, Santino said she thinks she's so hot to trot with her little entrance. Santino said he's even going to do the entrance himself.

Beth tried to hold him back, but Santino insisted. He hitched up his britches, then got one leg up on the apron. Hitch up the britches again. He then got the other leg up just a touch on the apron before falling down flat on his back in sheer pain. He instantly held his groin. Santino shook and shook on the floor while Melina tried not to crack up laughing. "Is there a Slammy for goof of the year?" Cole asked. Won't go there on Cole. Beth then helped Santino up and asked why, oh why did he injure himself there? Santino shaking was moment of the year. So great. PWtorch.com

12/08/08 Monday Night Raw - Philadelphia, PA - 3 Hour Slammy Special - Santino & Beth Phoenix vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle
Slammys: Couple of the Year award time, then Kelly Kelly and Kane were brought out as the presenters. And the Slammy goes to...Edge & Vickie Guerrero. Loud boos for that. Vickie then walked out on stage sporting a neckbrace and beside herself with joy over the decision. Kelly and Kane departed, then Vickie shouted, "Excuse me!" that drew more boos. And more boos every time she repeated herself. So great. Vickie said Edge and her have been through so much the past year. Even more boos. Wow, the heat on this is crazy. Vickie said this award shows that true love prevails. On behalf of her hubby, Edge, they accept this. "We did it, baby!" she shouted.

Vickie walked off, then Santino's music hit. Santino and Beth walked out and Santino was not happy, as evidenced by the hands on his hips. Santino made a boo-boo face, then he went to the podium and said you gotta be kidding me. Santino said Vickie is like how-you-say Cougar of the Year. He said Beth never loved me, hated me, and tried to have Undertaker send me to a-hell. Santino then challenged any of the other couples to a match tonight. This is even after injuring his ah scrotumicism region. Oh my. Santino then led Beth to the ring. [Commercial Break]

In-ring: Santino and Beth were still warming up out of the break, then after a pause for Santino to stretch to his scrotumicism region, Finlay's music hit. Out came Finlay and Hornswoggle for a warm-up match before ECW. Before the bell sounded, Santino showed off his unibrow to mock Santino. Finlay then put a green derby on Beth, who slowly dropped it and stepped on it.

She then slapped Finlay across the face, so Finlay smacked Santino hard across the face. Santino bailed to the floor to complain, then Beth told him to get his head back in this. Santino said he has this one. Beth shouted that he embarrassed her. Santino lowered the ropes, though, and insisted he start this one.

Finlay worked on Santino to start things off, then Hornswoggle tagged in and battled Santino while Santino was on his knees. Hornswoggle executed a lift-up DDT, then he went up top and hit a tadpole splash clear across the ring. Horny with the cover on Santino for the win as Beth could only watch from the apron in disdain. Afterward, Beth tried to rub Santino's belly and tell him it would be all right. Santino sold a neck injury.

Slammys:
With Beth still consoling Santino in the ring, Melina and Teddy Long were introduced to announce Diva of the Year. Melina talked about beauty, talent, and athleticism defining a diva. Teddy added that they hot. And the nominees are Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, or Michelle McCool.

And the Slammy goes to...Melina's smile disappeared...she announced Beth Phoenix as the winner. They cut to the ring where Beth was trying to hold up Santino in the ring. She then comically dropped Santino like a bad habit and ran to the ring to accept the Slammy from Melina. Beth smiled, then looked deep into Melina's eyes with a crazy look in her eyes. Beth accepted on behalf of all the dominant divas across the world.

Beth then stared down Melina before giving her a playful shove. Melina took a step, then in her evening gown, landed a straight forearm smash. They brawled on stage for a few moments. Santino found himself on stage trying to assist, but Melina pushed Beth down and Beth went straight into Santino's scrotumicism region. Beth pause, then realized the error and tried to help Santino, who screamed like a girl and sold that he was going to throw up while bent over at the waist. PWtorch.com

12/15/08 Monday Night Raw - Pittsburgh, PA - Kelly Kelly & Melina vs. Beth Phoenix & Jillian Hall
Early on, a handful of hair on Kelly by Beth put Kelly on the mat to set up Jillian on the offensive attack. Kelly then flipped out of a side slam, but Jillian cut her off. Jillian then directed her attention to Melina and Kelly rolled her up from behind for the win.

Post-match: Beth and Jillian pounced on Kelly to beat her down after knocking Melina off the apron. Suddenly, Kane's music hit and the pyro freaked out Beth and Jillian. The divas split, then Kane stood over Kelly's fallen body. Kelly woke up and realized what was going on, so she slowly crawled away. Kane matched her inch by inch until leaning down to slowly extend his hand. Kelly breathed heavily, but then slid out of the ring to escape Kane. Kane didn't like that, so he took off after Kelly, who walked backwards up the entrance ramp to the backstage area. Kane chased after her inch by inch until they faded to break. PWtorch.com

01/05/09 Monday Night Raw - New Orleans, LA - Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix vs. Goldust & Melina
In-ring: Goldust was in the ring squatting down for a piece of action tonight. Melina then came out as his tag partner. Out next was Glamarella with Santino Marella holding Beth's Slammy and Beth holding her Women's Title.

Early on, Goldust tried to kiss Beth, who shied away before Goldy nailed a flying butt bomb on Santino to knock him to the mat. Goldust then clotheslined Santino over the top rope to the floor. The divas then entered the ring and Melina caught her in the corner for a sort-of turnaround head jam. She then bridge pinned Beth for the pin and the win.

After the match, Beth's #1 fan hopped the guardrail and tried to attack Melina, but security held her back. Melina wanted a piece of #1 Rosa Mendes, but security yanked her away. Melina then returned to ringside to celebrate the victory while Goldust disappeared and made himself invisible. After a replay of the finish, Melina celebrated with Goldust, who kinda walked around in a dazed state. PWtorch.com

01/12/09 Monday Night Raw - Sioux City, IA - Kelly Kelly & Melina vs. Beth Phoenix & Jillian
Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall were in the ring for a divas tag match. Kelly Kelly came out first for the babyface divas team. As Melina made her ring intro, she was attacked by a member of the paparazzi. It was really Rosa Mendez in disguise. Beth Phoenix threw Melina into the security wall as soon as security dragged Mendez away. Phoenix shoved a camera in her face because "you've never looked so glamorous." Jillian Hall laughed in the background. The tag match is apparently off. PWtorch.com

01/19/09 Monday Night Raw - Chicago, IL - Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix - Non-title Match
Kelly sporting a Chicago Blackhawks half-jersey to get the local cheers. Beth quickly shoved Kelly down to the mat before Kelly kicked back only to take a big chest smash. Fans were hot with a "Kelly, Kelly" chant before Beth nailed her sit-out facebuster for the pin.

Backstage: Santino embraced Beth backstage after her match victory. Santino said he has a surprise present. Out came #1 stalker fan Rosa Mendes. He said he's giving her a special internship. Rosa said she'll do anything to learn from the best. Santino, "Pleaaaaaase, can we keep her????" Beth paused and said she'll think about it. She walked off, then Santino gave Rosa tips on how to impress her...tonight. PWtorch.com

01/25/09 Royal Rumble PPV - Detroit, MI - Beth Phoenix vs. Melina - Women's Title Match
Santino smiled at ringside as Phoenix outpowered Melina in the opening minutes. She butt-splashed her Umaga-style in the corner. In the Best Move Ever in a wrestling ring, Phoenix applied a half Boston crab and then, taking Melina's flexibility and using it against her, literally bashed Melina on the back of her head with her own boot repeatedly. Great innovative spot. Pheonix scored a near fall after a slightly botched side slam where she seemed to lose her footing a bit as she went down. Phoenix pressed Melina in the air off the top rope, but Melina slipped out and went for a roll-up, but Phoenix resisted. She hit a sunset flip a minute later for a near fall. Melina se up a 619, but rammed her knees into Phoenix's back instead. She followed with a running face plant for a near fall, screaming on her way. Melina set up her power legdrop, but Phoenix blocked it. Melina rolled up Phoenix seconds later and scored the pin.

Fine match. Again, that move where Phoenix kicked Melina with her own boot was priceless. Lawler commented on it after the match as something he'd never seen before. PWtorch.com

01/26/09 Monday Night Raw - Cleveland, OH - Melina & Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix & Jillian Hall
They showed freeze-frames of Melina beating Beth Phoenix to win the Women's Title at the Rumble.

In-ring: Melina came out sporting the Women's Title as the new champ after winning last night. Looked like the same outfit she wore last night. Kelly Kelly came out as her tag partner. Beth Phoenix, Santino, and Jillian Hall came out as the opposition.

Santino joined Lawler and Cole on commentary. Santino looked at Cole and said: "Look at you! You look fantastic! Have you been working out, J.R.? I didn't recognize you without your hat." Funny. Lawler agitated Santino by reminding him that Phoenix was no longer the champion. Santino said Beth has been very difficult to deal with the last 24 hours. Cole congratulated him on his record-setting effort in the Rumble last night. Santino said he wasn't even ready - "That stupid Kane." What was Beth's excuse last night? Santino said that Mexican Chihuahua got lucky. Jillian worked on Kelly, then Beth tagged in and went on the offensive. Suddenly, Rosa Mendes showed up ringside and yanked Melina off the ring apron. Kelly missed the hot tag opportunity, then Beth gave her the chicken wing front-face slam for the win. PWtorch.com

Candice began slapping/chopping Beth, then she went to the second rope for a turnaround spin kick. Santino was concerned as Candice continued on the offensive. Lawler announced Melina would face Phoenix for the Diva's Championship next week. Melina gave Phoenix a big boot and landed by doing the splits. Phoenix yanked on Melina's hair from the ring apron to turn the momentum in the match. A minute later, with Melina back on offense, Mendez knocked her off balance as she went for a springboard. Lawler noticed that Santino shaved his unibrow and got highlights in his hair. He said it appeared he got a make-over. Phoenix dominated Melina in the opening minutes. Lawler: "I finally figured out what Divas want in a relationship. Security. Whenever I approach them backstage, that's what they yell." Mendez took a cheapshot at Melina at ringside, drawing Mickie James, Candice Michelle, and Kelly Kelly. They jumped Rosa and Santino. Melina rolled up a distracted Phoenix for the win. PWtorch.com

02/23/09 Monday Night Raw - Nashville, TN - Beth Phoenix/Santino Marella/Dolph Ziggler (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. Melina & Cryme Tyme
Backstage: Beth Phoenix, Santino Marella, and Rosa Mendez walked down the hall. Dolph Ziggler introduced himself to them. He said he and Beth are "into lots of love." Santino said Ziggler's got great abs, but they're not as good as his, but if he weren't wearing a fancy t-shirt, he'd show him.

The Match: Melina and Beth started things off against each other. Very quiet tonight. Cole isn't helping on play-by-play. Dolph and JTG tagged in to battle in the ring. Dolph short-armed Santino on a tag, then Shad tagged in and took apart Dolph. Shad then powered up and missed with a money-money elbow drop. Santino finally tagged in, then he fired himself up and ran into a clothesline from Shad, who pinned him for the win. That was quick. PWtorch.com

03/02/09 Monday Night Raw - Boston, MA - Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix (w/Rosa Mendes) vs. Kelly Kelly & Mickie James
Melina and Maryse joined Cole and Lawler at ringside. Lawler said he hopes that's what heaven is like. Cole asked Maryse what brings her to Raw. She said she was invited, but she asked Melina what she was doing there. Kelly and Phoenix began. Phoenix dropped Kelly into the turnbuckles, and Kelly took a potentially nasty bump when the back of her head hit the middle turnbuckle. That's not the first time Phoenix just appears to be reckless with the well-being of her opponent. Lawler even characterized it as "reckless." Phoenix saved Jillian from a pin by Mickie, although it was one of those situations where the ref didn't need to "reward" the heels by stopping his count when Phoenix entered the ring since Jillian's shoulders were still down for a full three count with Mickie on top even as Phoenix interfered. Mickie kicked Phoenix and tagged in Kelly, who hit Phoenix with a sunset flip. Awkward finish as Phoenix had to stand there bent over waiting for Kelly to get to the top rope and execute the sunset flip. Kelly also seemed to barely keep her footing as she pushed off the top rope.

Afterward, Mendez attacked Kelly. Mickie made the save. When Melina tried to enter the ring, Maryse yanked her off the apron and DDT'd her onto the floor. The DDT looked nasty, but with all that hair it was tough to tell how hard the impact was, if any. PWtorch.com

Santino joined Cole and Lawler on commentary. Santino said the women have a messy locker room. Lawler asked him how he knew or if he just heard rumors. Santino said he just heard about it. At 2:00 Mickie hot-tagged Melina, who hit a handspring elbow on Phoenix leading to a two count. Melina hit a Thesz press. Phoenix came right back with a backbreaker for a two count. Mickie kicked Santino in the gut when he headed to ringside. Then suddenly Melina schoolgirled a distracted Phoenix from behind for the win. PWtorch.com

03/23/09 Monday Night Raw - Kansas City, MO - Mickie James vs. Santino Marella (w/Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendez)
Santino Marella stood mid-ring and complained about not being allowed to wrestle in the Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania. He said he is going to be the winner. Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendez shot him startled looks. He complained that he isn't being allowed in the match because of his "genitalia." He said he was told if he can beat Mickie James with one hand tied behind his back, he will show he is man enough to be Miss WrestleMania. A graphic showed 17 Divas, leaving eight mystery slots.

Santino tried to intimidate Mickie early, messing with her hair and charging at her. Mickie moved and tripped him to the mat, then tied both of his hands behind his back. Lawler said it looks like she's at a rodeo. Santino stood up and said he doesn't need any hands to beat her. She offered a test of strength. He kicked her to the mat and headbutted her. A second headbutt missed, but she sold it anyway. Santino tried to steamroll her, but she avoided him and then dropkicked him for a soft two count. Santino kicked Mickie and then tried to climb to the top rope. He had trouble getting up there without any hands. Mickie got up. When Mickie swung at Rosa, Beth jumped onto the ring apron and accidentally knocked Santino to the mat. Mickie then hit a spin kick for the win. PWtorch.com

Only the babyface team got a collective ring intro, as the heels were already in the ring. What's the over/under on how ridiculously short this will be? Seven minutes? Maybe less? It opened with Mickie vs. Jillian. Tiffany tagged in. Then Glamazon. Tiffany surprised Katie Lea with a small package at 2:00. That gives new meaning to "ridiculously short" match. Winners: The babyfaces in 2:00.

With the women still in the ring, Santino Marella walked out in a black robe and said he's a modern-day Gloria Steinem and Davey Crockett - an equal rights pioneer. He said he took his case to Jack Tunney, then noted he actually died a few years ago. He said he's challenging the women to a swimsuit competition. He said he's going to prove he has what it takes to be Miss WrestleMania. Lawler said, "This is going to be bad." He revealed his "Mankini" and began dancing. It was a really small black Speedo with some sort of suspender contraption that could also double as a parachute harness. Phoenix freaked out and insisted he put the robe back on. They went right from Kid Rock performance, to the bell ringing for this match. All of the women were already in the ring. Mae Young was the guest time keeper at ringside, with Candice Michelle sitting next to her. Rosa Mendez was the first eliminated. Women are eliminated if their feet hit the floor, whether or not they went over the top rope or through the ropes. Regarding May, Lawler said, "She remembers back when she was a beautiful diva. Then the meteor hit and the dinosaurs died." Molly Holly and Sunny were among the early eliminations. They flew to Houston for that? Santino was dressed in drag in the ring just avoiding any contact. The final five were Santino, Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, and Melina. McCool and Mickie tumbled to the floor next. Santino then knocked Phoenix and Melina to the floor to win. The crowd chanted "San-tin-o!" afterward. The announcers were instructed to play dumb, as they pretended they didn't know who it was.

Afterward, Santino claimed he was Santina Marella, Santino's twin sister from Italy. He cried as Candice put the Diva Crown on his head. Beth Phoenix was upset that he stole her moment. Santino did a full fledged celebration dance including the splits in the ring. Cole did his fake forced laugh, while people the crowd seemed to getting a kick out of it, although a few seemed disgusted and almost distraught at what they were watching. PWtorch.com

WebMaster's Note: This was a total let down. Now I might be able to see why they didn't announce each and every woman while entering the ring, but some of us wanted to see people like Sunny or Molly. Jerry the "King" informed us that Sunny was in the ring, but we never saw her, even when she was thrown out. And Molly we only got a glimpse of for about a second and a half, with her face buried in the floor when she went over. I thought part of the "coolness" factor was going to be seeing the "old timers" that we haven't seen in a while. Well forget that. The camera work was pretty poor as they mainly focused on "Santina" staying away from everyone and roaming around the ring. Weak match all the way around although it did end up humorous.

04/06/09 Monday Night Raw - Houston, TX - Santina Marella vs. Beth Phoenix
Santina Marella came out wearing her crown. She called her brother "obnoxiously good looking and manly." She said when he wasn't allowed in the battle royal, his heart was broken, but it's mended now because his flesh and blood won instead of him. "So many feelings were running through my feminine body parts," she said. She wondered if she'd be on the calender of Sports Illustrated or maybe she'll meet a nice man and have babies. Lawler said, "So, Michael, are you available?" She fantasized about being Miss WrestleMania some day. Beth Phoenix's music interrupted. She strode to the ring with Rosa Mendez, looking quite upset.

Santina introduced herself to Beth as Lawler chuckled. Beth said, "Cut the crap, okay? What are you trying to do? I'll tell you what. You're embarrassing yourself in front of all of these people. And don't let me ever catch you in the Divas' locker room again." Santina asked, "Where am I supposed to change?" Beth complained that she threw her over the top rope. Santina said it was "every woman for herself." Beth challenged her to a match. Santina said she's jealous because she's more woman than she'll ever be. Santina accepted her challenge. Santina called for a referee. [Commercial Break]

Santina danced after the break. Cole called it the most ridiculous thing he's ever seen and seemed genuinely cracked up. This is really funny. Santina is 100 percent into it. Cole plugged that fans can see the entire performance at WWE.com.

Beth opened with a chop to Santina's chest. Cole and Lawler played it up tongue-in-cheek that Santina is really Santino's twin sister. Beth spanked Santina early. Cole said, "This is just bizarre." Santina landed on Beth for the win. PWtorch.com

As Santino walked out, Ross and Grisham, with a tongue-and-cheek tone, talked about Santina being Santino's twin sister. He entered the ring and addressed his presence on Raw. He said there are a whole bunch of Divas who are upset that he is Mr. WrestleMania. When a picture was shown of Santina, he said, "She's gorgeous." Santino said he wanted to come to Smackdown this week, so he talked to Teddy Long and got permission. He said he might be drafted next Monday, plus he wants to show that there's more than one Marella you should be jealous of. He issued an open challenge to any Superstar in the back. The Great Khali walked out, accompanied by Ranjin Singh.

Singh said Great Khali says he doesn't have to fight him tonight - on one condition. "The Great Khali thinks that your sister Santina is hot," he said. Khali smiled as Singh said Khali can't think of anyone but Santina. He wants her to be his guest on the Khali Kiss-Cam. He said if Santino makes sure that happens, he won't have to fight him. "You think my sister is some kind of woman of the night, huh? You think my sister graduated from the University of Texas?" said Santino. Great line. He said he's going to say on behalf of his sister no. "You could probably open your mouth and swallow her whole like Jonah the Whale," he said. Khali couldn't keep a straight face as he spoke what sounded like nonsense. Singh said Khali said Santino's answer was wrong, so the match is on.

Santino(a)'s music hit. Out came the man version of Santino. No sign of Beth Phoenix. Okay, Raw is definitely not winning this match. Santino faces someone up next. Oh, how I envy the live crowd getting an entire commercial break of Santino doing something. [Commercial Break]

In-ring: Santino was still in the ring, then Great Khali showed up with Singh to squash Santino. Khali sporting some new bright red pajama pants. Singh with longer sideburns. Grisham said business needs to pick up for Smackdown quickly. Before the match could start, Beth Phoenix showed up with Rosa Mendes. She said she was coming out here to inform Santino that something else is on the line tonight per Vickie. If Khali wins, then Santina will be a guest on the Khali Kiss Cam next week.

Santino tried to collect himself with more on the line than he bargained for, but Khali shoved him across the ring. Khali made Santino scream like Carlton Banks on Fresh Prince, then Santino held onto the ropes for dear life. Santino tried to charge Khali, but Khali chopped him down. 04/20/09 Monday Night Raw - London, UK - Melina vs. Beth Phoenix (w/Santino and Rosa Mendes)
In-ring: Santino Marella's music hit. He came out to the ring and pretended to shyly wave off the adoration from the fans. They recapped the 25-diva battle royale deal at Mania where Santina Marella won. Back to Raw where Santino said his twin sister has to go to Smackdown and kiss Great Khali. He said they aren't happy, but they are honorable. Santino then called out Santina. He said some people have the audacity to say they are the same person. So wrong. Cue up the Rico theme music. Santina then appeared on Santina's Casa from the video screen. Santina said she cannot kiss Khali because she has developed a blister on her lip. Santina said she's in the best country in the world, Italy, and there is no way she can go to Smackdown to kiss the Great Khali. Suddenly, the video sped up to blow Santino's cover. "Oh my, um...my sister loves the eh red bull. Haha."

Santino then read a poem about her "beautiful" sister Santina. Both born in 1985, parents were models. Suddenly, Beth Phoenix's music interrupted. She came out with Rosa Mendes and she wasn't too happy about these developments. Beth said it's too bad about Santino's sister. She said Santina will kiss Khali after all at Backlash. Santina started rambling on the video and Santino screamed for her to shut up. "Shutta up your face!" Turn off the eh TV." Santino said Beth is just covered in the jealousy just like her poor sister is covered in the eh blister. He said Beth will never be Miss WrestleMania. Melina's music then interrupted to further complicate issues here tonight. Melina was drafted to Smackdown, but she's back on Raw. WWE is really stretching out this "taking care of business on Raw before moving brands." Match up next. [Commercial Break]

Beth went for the trademark power offense/submission holds early on, but Melina made a comeback. She was in position to win, but Rosa got on the apron to try to run interference at 3:00, but Melina knocked her to the floor. 04/26/09 Backlash PPV - Providence, RI - Beth Phoenix vs. Santina Marella
Backstage Beth Phoenix, with Rosa Mendez, walked up to Santino Marella supposedly talking to Santina on his phone. She told Santino to just admit he dressed up as Santina to become Miss WrestleMania. Santino blew off such an outlandish accusation and said she's ashamed of losing to his twin sister at WrestleMania. Santino said she should kiss the Great Khali to prove she's more woman than Santina. Phoenix said that won't happen, and she's not kissing him anymore. She stormed away. Santino shouted at her that he faked every "you know what" while they were together.

In-ring: Runjin Singh led Great Khali to the ring for the Khali Kiss Cam. Singh told Santina to hurry on out and experience a real woman. Rico's music hit and Santina came out playing bashful as the apparently unaware Khali sold excitement. Santina said she would love to kiss Khali, but she's not who she says she is. Khali demanded an explanation. Santina said she's been trying to pass as something she's not ... a single girl. "I'm in love with another man!" Santina said. She said to kiss Khali would betray everything she stands for. Khali didn't get it. Or, whatever. Who is it?

Santina stammered and stammered before blurting out, "J.R." Cut to a shot of Jim Ross at the broadcast table looking so excited to be part of this storyline. "I love you so much," Santina said. "Good for you," Ross said. Lawler chuckled as Ross tried to play it cool. Singh translated that Khali totally understands and he no longer requires a kiss...provided that Santina proves her love...by kissing J.R. right now. "C'mon, Mr. BBQ man," Cole said. Ross mocked Cole then shot back, "Who fed you that line?"

Santina pretended to be fainting. Beth Phoenix's music interrupted and she stormed out with Rosa. She's sick and tired of this going on. Beth said Santina never should have been in the battle royale and she wants to challenge for the Miss WrestleMania crown right now. Singh asked how she dared interrupted a moment of love. Phoenix explained to Khali that Santina is a man. She asked if all the women in his hometown are so damn ugly that he finds "that" to be attractive. Santina said, "I'm pretty!" Phoenix said either that or he is the biggest idiot walking the face of the Earth today. Khali chopped her on the head and then shoved her to the mat. Santina then covered her and the ref counted to three. Apparently Santina retained her Miss WrestleMania crown. Lawler said he's almost as speechless as J.R. Lawler ribbed Ross, saying his girlfriends bra strap is showing. Afterward, Khali smiled at Santina. Santina tried to escape. Khali tore off her top. Santina ran around covering her breasts, uh, pecs and ran to the back. Khali sniffed her top and signaled it stunk. PWtorch.com

Lawler said Santina appears to have recovered from the embarrassment of being stripped topless last night. Lawler said Bri was one of their luckiest picks. Bri hid under the ring, but then both Bella Twins stuck their heads out from under the ring apron. And then Hornswoggle popped up between them. Hornswoggle chased Mendez away from the ring. Jillian and Maryse chased Hornswoggle back under the ring. When they bent over to go after him, he sprayed them with a fire extinguisher. Santino then surprised Jillian with a roll-up for the win. As Santina celebrated on the ring apron, Hornswoggle looked up her skirt and he looked horrified at what he saw. Lawler said Hornswoggle will be scarred for life. Hornswoggle fell over backwards. Lawler said he might have had a mini heart attack. Santina acted bashful when she realized what happened. PWtorch.com

Santino talked to Kelly Kelly backstage. He told her she's going to have a blast teaming with his twin sister Santina on Superstars. Kelly said she's looking forward to meeting her. Santino said last week she was breathed on by Vickie "Guerrera" and now she has the swine flu, which is funny since Vickie is "snort - snort, pig like." Chavo Guerrero walked up. Santino began singing his entrance song. Chavo shoed Kelly away, the first time any man has ever done that to her. He then asked Santino if he was making fun of his aunt. Vickie's office: Chavo and Vickie talked excitedly about how great the Exhibition Match went. Santina Marella then stormed in and Vickie asked Santina why she called her a Swine pig last week. She/he said it was her stupid brother last week. Chavo told Santino(a) to give it up because they all know she's Santino. Vickie brought in Beth and Rosa to prove a point. She told Beth to kiss Santino. Santina freaked. Rosa then approached Santino(a) and kissed him(her). Santino(a) enjoyed it a bit much, so Chavo said that proves she's Santino. Santino(a) took a deep breath, then said he/she's a - how you say it? - ah lesbiano.

The Match: Crowd chanted for "Santina" after the opening bell. Beth landed an abrupt elbow smash after a little posing from Santina. Beth then clotheslined Santina over the top rope to the floor. She followed with a press slam through the ropes back into the ring. Beth then slapped on an abdominal stretch before putting him/her in the Masterlock. Cole rhetorically asked how long this feud has been going on for, and he suggested two months. More like two years. Beth had enough and blasted Santina with elbow strikes, but Santina rolled her up for a surprise pin and the win. PWtorch.com

05/18/09 Monday Night Raw - Louisville KY - Divas Battle Royal - #1 Contender Match to Divas Title
Mayrse joined Cole and Lawler on commentary. She corrected Cole's pronunciation of her name. She said it's "Mah-reese'" rather than "Mauw-reese." Mickie James, Bri Bella, Nikki Bella, Rosa Mendez, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, and Kelly Kelly. First out were Rosa Mendez and Bri Bella in the opening minute. It came down to Mickie, Kelly, and Phoenix within two minutes. Maryse said there's nothing glamorous about Phoenix. Kelly re-entered the ring and dropkicked Phoenix out of the ring. Maryse sprayed Mickie in the eyes with something as the ref was occupied on the other side of the ring. Kelly then kicked Mickie to the floor, not knowing what happened, and got the win. PWtorch.com

05/18/09 Monday Night Raw - Louisville KY - Santino Marella vs. Chavo Guerrero
Santino sold a leg injury a minute into the match, so he asked for some in the corner. He then comically "walked it off" by bouncing off the ropes with a stiff-legged gait. Chavo then ran him over with a clothesline to end it. Chavo put Santino in a seated stretch, then Santino did a comical "I'm going to explode or break the Masterlock!" expression as he tried to escape. Chavo started slapping Santino, who then started to Hulk Up. "You ah make me ah so mad!" he shouted. Santino landed an elbow smash and discovered he had actual ability to wrestle. Santino landed a clothesline and was shocked at all of these offensive moves working. He was gaining confidence before running into a boot in the corner. Chavo then went up top for a frog splash, but Santino rolled out of the way. He then ducked a corner splash and grappled Chavo with a jackknife pin for the win.

Post-match: Chavo took the mic and said this isn't a joke or funny. He told Santino to tell his sister, Santina, to go get dressed because she's defending the Miss WrestleMania crown tonight against her aunt, Vickie. Santino took it in stride and said she can beat her.

Vickie Guerrero Office: Chavo was giving Vickie some pointers about how to hit the frog splash. Chavo was flat on his back and Vickie vowed to call the match off. Santina Marella then walked in and said it's a shame if she calls the match off. She(he) said the only way she'll win is if...pigs fly. Vickie declared the match is back on. Santina did some more oink-oinks, then walked off. Chavo told Vickie to trust him. So, does Santino get paid twice?

Vickie Guerrero (w/Chavo Guerrero) vs. Santino(a) Marella
Bell sounded and Santina took the mic to say something. She (he) knows Vickie is jealous because he/she has a body like this and she has a body like that. Vickie slapped Santina and reminded her that she's a lesbianio. They shared an unfortunate liplock and Chavo stormed in not amused by this. Chavo then re-booked this as a No DQ match. Santina acted shocked. So, how would Spike TV handle this potential half-man on woman violence? In any event, Chavo stormed the ring and beat down Santina from behind. Chavo pounded on Santina, who fought back with some manly right hands. Crowd did the "booh/yay" for when they switched control. Santina then dumped Chavo over the top rope to the floor. Suddenly, William Regal jumped into the ring and beat the crap out of Santina. Regal landed a huge knee smash, then Vickie pounced on Santina for the pin and the win. Vickie howled and screamed in delight for winning the new Miss WrestleMania. Chavo then brought out the sash and crown to give to Vickie, who paraded around the ring. PWtorch.com

Man on man and woman on woman here, then Santino and Chavo got caught up brawling during the divas portion of the match. The distraction allowed Mickie to roll up Beth from behind for the win. Chavo in trouble. Post-match: GM Vickie came out on stage sporting the Miss WrestleMania crown. She confidently said Chavo will be in her corner at Extreme Rules. Santino said he a ton of ideas for their Extreme Rules PPV match. Leaning Tower of Pisa Pepperoni match. Or a Pasta Primavera on a Pole match. Vince Russo special? In-ring: Vickie was waving to the crowd sporting her Miss WrestleMania sash. Santino came out to the ring as Lawler narrated clips of previous Hog Pen matches in WWE history. Just focused on the pigs in the slop. No shots of the Godwins or Triple H. Perhaps a match Hunter doesn't want his likeness associated with.

Santino picked up a bucket of slop and threatened to hit Vickie with it. Crowd screamed as William Regal and Matt Hardy stormed the ring. Santino spun around and "accidentally" flung the slop everywhere, landing on Regal, the cameraman, and the announcers. Regal sold it for a while so the crowd could get a good laugh, then Hardy and Regal beat up Santino. Hardy landed a Cast Shot on Santino before Regal and Hardy put Santino in position to accept more slop on the mat. Vickie cackled as she grabbed another bucket of slop and teased Santino's lifeless body with more punishment. She slowly dropped some slop on Santino's scrotumus region before slowly pouring it out on Santino's face, neck, and eyes. She covered Santino's torso with slop while cackling. Lawler said every pig has its day, like every dog has its day. Vickie put her foot on Santino's chest to close the segment.PWtorch.com

06/07/09 Extreme Rules PPV - New Orleans, LA - Miss WrestleMania Vickie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero vs. Santino(a) Marella - Hog Pen Match
Chavo took a bath in the mud early on, but he knocked down Santina. Chavo thought Santina was done, so Vickie came in to make the pin. Santina popped up to life, though. Chavo tried to slop Santina with a bucket full of pig feed, but Santina ducked and Vickie was slopped by Chavo. Santina then slopped Chavo and punched the bucket into Chavo's face. Santina KO'ed Chavo, then made the cover on Vickie for the pin and the win. Afterward, Vickie and Chavo yelled at each other with Vickie taking out her frustration on Chavo. Santina celebrated as the crown was re-awarded to him/her/it.

Winner: Santino(a) at 3:30 to capture the Miss WrestleMania crown. Please, oh please, let this be over with so Santino can return to the babyface program where he discovers his ability to wrestle. PWtorch.com

06/11/09 WWE Superstars - Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes vs. Brie & Nikki Bella
Apparently there was a storyline development we missed reuniting the Bella Twins after their family squabble was at the heart of the Colons vs. Miz & Morrison program culminating at WrestleMania 25. Either that or they patched things up shopping. Beth dominated early on, then Nikki (I think) made a comeback. Rosa ran interference when Nikki had a pin, which allowed Beth to come back with the double-underhook front-facebuster for the pin and the win.

06/22/09 Monday Night Raw - Green Bay, WI - Mickie James & Brie/Nikki Bella vs. Maryse, Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes
Heel divas worked over the Bellas early on in the match to build up to Mickie's hot tag and comeback. Mickie cleaned house on Rosa, then knocked Maryse off the apron, but Beth interjected. Action broke down with the Bellas clearing Beth out of the ring. Chaos then settled down and Mickie was left in the ring with Rosa to smash her with a superkick for the pin. Afterward, Maryse tried to snip at Mickie's heels, but Mickie sent her away. Maryse then directed her frustrations toward Rosa for losing again. PWtorch.com

06/29/09 Monday Night Raw - San Jose, CA - Kelly Kelly vs. Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Rosa Mendes
Mickie James defeated Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix and Rose Mendez when she pinned Mendez at 5:00 to earn a shot at Maryse's Divas Title at Night of the Champions. Maryse joined in on commentary. As Phoenix punched Mickie, Rosa stepped in to help and it seemed to upset Phoenix. Mickie avoided a Phoenix suplex and then applied an inverted sleeper. Mendez then put Mickie in a sleeper. Kelly jumped on Mendez's back with her own sleeper. Phoenix escaped and shoved the other three into the corner turnbuckle. Kelly got a near fall on Phoenix after a sunset flip. Mickie moved in and went for a pin, but Mendez broke that up with a backslide of her own. Maryse indicated she wanted to face Kelly if she had a choice, almost to the point of seeming to have a crush on her. Mickie eventually finished Mendez with a DDT. Mickie and Maryse had a staredown afterward, then she hugged Kelly afterward. PWtorch.com
