The Role

The Senior Recruiter is not a typical recruiting role. This is a founding talent operator who will directly shape the future of oWOW by bringing in the builders, engineers, designers, operators, and leaders who will transform how housing gets delivered in America. You’ll run points on the hires that make or break the company’s next stage of growth and help build our recruiting system, not just run it.

This is high-impact, high-velocity, mission-driven work.

What You’ll Do (The Fun Stuff)

The Director of Talent is responsible for building and operating a high-performance talent system that consistently delivers the right people into the right roles at the right time, enabling oWOW to scale with speed, clarity, and excellence. 

This role owns hiring execution, workforce planning and comp philosophy. You will partner closely with leadership while raising the bar at oWOW.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, brings strong talent judgment, and can build systems that scale. 

What You’ll Do

1. You’ll be responsible for recruiting top performers across:

  • Engineering (structural, MEP, civil, manufacturing)

  • Design-build (architects, PMs, estimators, superintendents)

  • Factory / Industrialized construction operations

  • Development, Investments, Acquisitions, and corporate leadership

2. Be a Talent Hunter (Not a Coordinator)

  • Aggressively source candidates in the top 1%

  • Build outbound strategies that pull talent from the best companies

  • Turn cold prospects into fired-up candidates

You’re a top choice if you know how to find people who aren’t looking, and excite them about a mission worth switching jobs for.

3. Partner Directly With Leadership

  • Define success profiles, role scorecards, and hiring plans

  • Influence org design and talent strategy

  • Be a strategic voice in the room, not an order taker.

4. Build the oWOW Recruiting Engine

  • Build proactive talent acquisition pipelines for future growth roles

  • Build a robust Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

  • Establish an employee referral program

  • Oversee marketing initiatives to communicate the companies narrative to high quality candidates

5. Own candidate experience end-to-end

  • Design & implement a compelling onboarding experience to new hires

  • Improve long-term retention

Who you are

  • 3 - 10+ years of recruiting experience in construction, AEC, engineering, manufacturing, or high-growth tech

  • Proven track record of closing senior and technical roles

  • Elite sourcing abilities - Boolean fluency, competitive mapping, passive outreach mastery

  • High-judgment interviewer; trusted by executives

  • Builder mindset - you like building processes, not inheriting them

  • Fast, clear, resourceful, relentless
